I live here in Charlotte. Several Bills Backers are planning on doing some tailgating at the Township Grille, which is the regular season spot for everyone to watch Bills games. I think everyone is meeting there around 3:30p, then heading over to the game together.
As far as getting some tickets, to me the best way to get a pair is on e-Bay. Right now you can get a pair for about 90 bucks, which isn't bad. But being it's less than a week away now, your best bet might be getting them at the stadium.
I just checked on ticketmaster.com, and single seats are still available for purchase.

1) JP Losman
"When Losman came to talk with me, he came alone. When Holcomb came by, he was with Willis McGahee. Everything counts in this battle, and developing relationships with your teammates is always a factor."
As I said in a previous post, JP seems like a pretty cool guy -- but from all indications at camp, he really doesn't seem to have too many good friends on the team. When he was out that one night, he was witih McCargo and Fowler, two new guys... but just from my vantage point, he has not mingled much with other vets on the team. Thought it was interesting that Kirwan touched on that as well.
2) Willis McGahee
"McGahee can play, but I never get the feeling he embraces the concept of being a team leader of the Buffalo Bills. He reminds me more of a veteran free agent signed to play well but never part of the "family." There's nothing wrong with his style, but it's hard not to get the feeling he will finish his career somewhere else down the road."
I couldn't have said it better myself and hope that is not the case.
Thoughts on either or both???
It really doesn't surprise me to read what he had to say about Willis. I too get the same feeling, that he just plays for a paycheck. I love the fact he's in a Bills uniform, and I think he's a stand-up guy. When I went to the Bills Packers preseason game last year, I saw Willis sign at least 20 autographs DURING the game, and even took a few pics with fans on the front row. But he just doesn't seem like a 'team player'. He kinda seems like he's content to get paid, and doesn't really care where he does it at.
What does trouble me is reading that JP STILL has not earned the respect of the players. I mean, it sounds to me like there's still plenty of players that would rather see Holcomb under center, and that really bothers me alot. I mean, what did JP do? I honestly believe that anyone who follows football, let alone the Buffalo Bills, knows that all Holcomb is is an adequate backup, at best.

It's very possible. I think I read he was already in the rochester area because he was so close to getting a deal done, so it's a good chance for that!!!
Let's Go Buffalo!!!

Niiice. Let's git r done Whitner!!!

I will be tuned in....

...compete for serious playing time. I'm very excited about the potential of Simpson paired with Whitner. Imagine the Bills with two playmaking safeties patrolling the backfield for the next 5-6 years (and hopefully longer).
Damn, I love football season. Even the negative !@#$s on this board can't keep me down. Go Bills!
I agree. I heard some good things about Ko Simpson, and if he pans out the way the brass at OBD is hoping, he and Whitner will make a nice tandem for years to come.
Although many people are predicting a horrible year for us, I'm remaining quietly optimistic. Nothing would make me happier than to prove all the non-believers wrong...
-
I hope that's the case, cause Lord knows I'd rather just about anyone under center than Holcomb, but in reading the minicamp report, it says Holcomb got the lion's share of the snaps with the first team offense.
I hope they were just being nice....

I would love to see a team give up a 3rd rounder for Moulds, but heck that might even be asking too much...

With a crappy season comes a higher draft pick, so at least we have that to look forward to
Right now we're in the 7-12 range
1: Houston 1-11
2-4: GB, NY Jets, SF: 2-10
5-6: Tennessee, NO: 3-9
7-12: Arizona, Baltimore, Cleveland, Detroit, Oakland, Buffalo: 4-8
13-15: Miami, St Louis, Philly: 5-7
16: Washington: 6-6
With the way the Bills are capable of breakin our hearts on a week in, week out basis, we'll probably run the table, finish 8-8, and get a nice, mediocre #16 or #17 pick.
-
Very good point. That can't bode well for free agents considering playing for the Bills. I know that money talks, but Buffalo isn't exactly the #1 most coveted city for players to play.
I hope MM hasn't lost this team...
-
Exactly. We'll do just enough to get a crappy draft pick, and to instill some false belief so that TD's and MM's jobs are safe for next year...
-
-
-
That didn't just happen. Please someone tell me we didn't just lose like that.
-
This can't be happening.

Ryan Leaf had an attitude...people suspected that might be an issue. Same with randy moss and Lawrence Phillips. Sometimes these players pan out, sometimes they dont. These are risky picks.
Mike Williams did not have many negatives. He was as close to cant miss as it gets in the NFL. Unfortunatly we appear to have the losing ticket in the 99:1 sweepstakes. Any other person acting as Bills GM at the time would have made the same decision. Cant fault TD for this...sorry.
I agree. As much as TD sucks as a GM to me, this is one pick you just can't pin him on. True indeed he pulled the trigger on it, but MW was the highest rated OT in the draft along with McKinnie. As JimBob said, any other GM would've made the exact same pick. How was TD to know MW would turn out to be a big, soft, steaming pile of horsesh!t?
But TD still sucks a$$.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
As an ex-Buffalonian here in Youngstown, Ohio, I'm looking for some good old irresponsible speculation on whether or not TD will be gone at the end of the year,
and under what conditions this could happen.
Since moving away in 1989 I get a lot less day-to-day coverage about our team,
so I'm wondering if the rumblings have started. Being an hour away from
Pittsburgh, there are a lot of Steelers fans here who said Ralph made a mistake when TD was hired and that he would end up regretting it. All throughout the
Donahoe era in Pittsburgh there was constant talk of friction between Cowher
and TD. Of course, we know what eventually happened. I think a lot of the Steelers' past mistakes in drafting were conveniently lumped on TD after he left, but a lot of fans here hated him. Following his drafts in Buffalo, he seems to be repeating some of his earlier mistakes, but then again he's made some good choices.
So if the Bills tank the rest of the year, is he gone? If they put a winning streak together, does he still go?
Happy thanksvgiving to you too....
As much as I would like to see TD get the axe, I think many fellow posters have hit the nail on the head. While IMHO, TD sucks as a GM, the real problem lies with Ralph Wilson, who I believe is happy with the job Ol Whitey is doing filling the seats. I dont' think Ralphie really cares about winning as much as he does selling out every game.
So, with that said, I believe that if the Bills don't win another game this year, TD will still be back next year, promising us this and that, signing some journeyman, cast-off FA's who will be mediocre at best...and doing what only TD can do...
dish the kool-aid out with the best of em!!!
Tailgating in Charlotte next Saturday?

I've actually only been going to Township Grille since 2001, but I'm not sure who the owner is. When I meet up with everyone on Saturday, I will ask who it is.
I really do like going there. Every Sunday they have a room reserved in the back for all the Bills fans, and they have a buffet set up for the whole game. It's wings, meatballs, hot dogs, pasta, and salad. They also give out prizes at halftime.
I believe the other spot now for Bills fans is Tavern on the Tracks, although I haven't been to it yet....
