Did I just hear this correctly from John Clayton on ESPN just a few minutes ago, he said Buffalo might be interested in getting Walter Jones from Seattle..........im pretty sure thats what Clayton said, unless there is some Jones that plays LTn the draft, but im sure he said Walter Jones and the Bills being interested.
Again I could have been mistaken someone let us know........
well, if this happens, i will sh$t myself. twice.
My question is, what in the heck could the bills possibly give up to get him? but boy, the electricity here would be enough to light up Ralph Wilson Stadium for the season....
-
With the 28th pick in the nfl draft the bills select the kid from bad santa???
-
this would make 86
-
Wow. Hopefully nothing comes of this....
I can't see something like this warranting anything beyond a frown from the higher ups.....whitner's never been in trouble before and this doesn't seem too bad..
-
It actually involves Tony Siragusa, Don Imus, and one of the (girls) from the Rutgers womens basketball team. Sorry.

If Peters does leave this team...
I say the Bills should
1. Resign Crowell
2. Grab a TE in the 2nd round of the draft - lots of depth this draft
3. Keep the same D-Line we have...eugh... maybe sign Jason Taylor...who knows.
4. Draft a LT in the 1st round
What would you do if Peters was to go?
would you really keep the d-line the same as we have? our d-line is sub par....and that's being nice..
-
Do you think the Iggles didn't do their homework?? Do you think they aren't aware of this situation.
Don't you remember--They DISHED US Darwin Walker when they couldn't work out a deal with him.
good point...not only that, i highly doubt any team in their right mind would give up two first round draft picks for Peters. Hell, who is the last team to give up two first rounders for anyone? i highly doubt it was a left tackle...
-
a line i borrowed from Nutty Professor. Grandma said, "Mike Douglas used to make me moist."
poor attempt at humor....

You take him. TO will be here for one year and then we may enter a uncapped year. We could of course franchise him. Think of that crap storm? TO comes has a great year wants to him the open market we franchise him then trade him to Atlanta.
If TO only signed a one year deal, and has this OUTRAGEOUS year, could we really franchise him? I thought once a players contract expires that's it...they become an unrestricted free agent..
-
We might trade down to get a extra shot at a TE / DE, which would make sense if can't get another solid FA.
While I'm never opposed to extra draft picks, I'm afraid that trading down would rob us of the opportunity to get a blue chip pass rusher, which, even at the 11 position, could be limited...
Are there any good free agent DE's available right now? even mid level that could come in and produce right away?
-
As soon as I saw that he had been signed, I proceeded to piss myself. Then I passed out, and while unconscious, dreamt of TO catching passes from Trent Edwards, doing his silly touchdown antics, and helping the Bills to their first playoff birth in 10 years....
then i woke up, made sure it was real...then pissed myself again.
GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that we would be making a huge mistake if we brought in other big names, especially at the skilled positions. We have a tremendous supporting cast for TO and Lee Evans not only has the ability but also the perfect demeanor to play opposite of him. Let this guy have the spotlight and let our current players play.
I can see your point of view, but would you not agree that the tight end position has been a significant offensive weakness of ours, for at least half a decade if not longer? Also, I just don't want the bills to address the tight end position with our 11th pick in the draft, which i'm hoping we go DE...
-
TG's experience alone would bring a depth to Buffalo not seen since the early 90's.
absolutely. That would be a formidable, formidable offense. Hopefully noone flames me for the statement I'm about to make, but...with an offense with Trent at the QB, Marshawn and Fred in the backfield, Evans, Owens, and Gonzalez catchin passes, there's no way we couldn't add at least 3 - 4 extra wins to last years total. Dare I even say, we could outscore teams, and not even make any additions to our defense, and still be a playoff contender...
-
l think that he is smart enough to realize that 2 #1 WR's will leave the TE open quite often now. Is there a chance he reconsiders his original stance and comes to Buffalo??
P.S. After getting T.O., this is less of a stretch than we might think.
Evans, Owens, and Gonzalez?? Man just hearing that, even the thought makes me moist. That's an offense that would garner INSTANT respectability! I would definitely piss my pants. I already pissed them yesterday when we signed Owens.
I would LOVE to see TG come here.......but how much is his asking price? and is he a free agent?
-
Maybe all these free agents are coming in to Buffalo to get a free plate of LaNova's wings. Cause i'll be damn none of them are signing any contracts....
-
1. He is not the player he was a few years ago, not even close.
2. He will cost more that what we will want to pay him.
3.What makes you think he woudl want to come here?
Will Never happen.
While I agree that he is not the player that he once was, I do think that he has plenty left to contribute, and even be an above average WR, heck on our team, he could presumably be the number one guy. Sorry, just don't think Evans is as good as many on here make him out to be.
How much do you think he will want? He must know he is on the downside of his career...with coles getting around 7 mil per year, do you think he will want much more than that? i know I'm not the owner or GM, but I would gladly give Holt 7 mil to come to Buff.
And finally, I do believe that money talks. And if the money was right, I would not be shocked to see Holt come to the Bills. And i would piss my pants with happiness....
-
I would be absolutely ecstatic if we were able to obtain Holt! IMO, he would be a huge upgrade to our offense. I would much, much rather prefer Holt than Coles. The question is, are we willing to do what it takes to get him?
GIT R DONE RALPHIE BOY!!!!

Item: Rex Ryan has a press conference during which he warns the NFL about how great he is and how the rest of the league is doomed.
Conclusion: Jauron will never be aggressive enough.
Moral: If youre a complete idiot, at least be a loud complete idiot.
Item: Jauron is compared to wrestling stars.
Conclusion: He is so boring he would probably use the sleeper hold because he will never be aggressive enough.
Moral: Wrestling is a good gauge of judging NFL coaches due to the need for aggression which Jauron will never have.
Item: Kollar goes to Texans. Thanks Jauron for being a professional boss.
Conclusion: Jauron did not hold Kollar captive when he had the option, therefore he is not aggressive enough.
Moral: Aggression is what it takes to keep coaches and Jauron doesn't have it. We haven't even replaced Kollar yet and he left 27 hours ago. At this rate we will have no coaches on opening day.
Overall moral: Class is overrated and being a jerk is what defines a real man and coach. Rex Ryan, most wrestlers and the Texans fron office are real men. If we were all like Rex Ryan we the world would be a better place. Everyone should be like Rex Ryan. Jauron will never win because he is not aggressive enough. An aggresssive coach would win even if his QB had hair highlight appointments every Thursday instead of practice. If Jauron would simply start yelling we would win. Why won't he yell? Rex Ryan will probably yell so loud that if Trent were a Jet, his hair highlights would get catapulted into the upper deck. We love Rex Ryan.
uhhhh......

just out of curiousity, what were Hardy's numbers this past year?

The Buffalo Bills: We can't lower our expectations, so up yours.
awesome!!!

Same to you! may God bless you and your family, and everyone else on here, and those less fortunate...
GO BILLS IN 09!!!!

You guys dont want a coach, you want a cheerleader. Jauron is probably very good between games, he doesnt scream and jump up and down as much as you guys want on Sunday, thats your problem with him. He isn't pretty and he doesnt get all fired up on the sidelines. We have no idea what kind of coach he is.. all you see of him is on the sidelines on Sunday.. thats no way to judge a coach. If the players say he is great, who are we to judge,, they see him in action a ten times more than we do...
My opinion of the players liking Jauron and saying he is great, is that he is soft, and doesn't demand alot out of them...lets them take it easy...evidenced by the way they seemingly get pushed around week after week. Yes, we won the Denver game, but deep down i had a feeling we would win, mostly because the game didn't matter.
and heck, if I had a boss who was nice, never made me work, let me have extra days off, never held me accountable for any of my screw ups or shortcomings, I'd love him too!
just my opinion...
Name a player we can add now that makes our team better??

Personally, I'm just not sold on Langston Walker as our starting left tackle. I would much prefer the Bills sign Levi Jones, at least as a one year stop-gap until we can get a LT via draft or free agency. I think that would really do wonders for the O-Line.
