  1. Yeah, that's worked so well for us the last 4 years.
  2. Just a tip for anyone else who wants to actually watch the games instead of listening to each talking head repeat the other... don't base your opinion of a guy solely on the 1st game of the season. I often times don't even watch them. They tend to be sloppy and full of mistakes. You have to watch the players multiple times, and give these guys some time to get into the groove again from the long offseason. Remember, they don't have preseason games. The first game of the year is not indicative of their true form... usually.
  3. Now we're happy we have bad character guys on the team? I thought we hated guys like Marshawn, James Hardy, Ko Simpson, Whitner, Owens... now we like Palmer? Just ridiculous, uninformed Bills fans.
  4. 1.) Ok so Turk is gone and Alex is in. I saw on the front page Turk resigned? Or was he straight up fired? 2.) I saw some stuff about Trent and Lee praising the move. Did they protest to Jauron, and then Jauron fired him? Was it Ralph's idea? 3.) How do you cut Copeland Bryan? Our best pass rusher last season as well as this preseason. On a team starving for pass rushers, this is astonishing to me. I tried to read up on the Schonert-Jauron drama, but there are just too many threads and too many stories. Anyone have a recap of what happened? I saw a clip of the press conference on ESPN and thought it was really weird that Jauron said he wasn't think about it 2 days ago.
  5. Turk: "I can't take it anymore. These guys suck. I quit!"
  6. Does anyone think this would have still happened had the other two OC's not got fired in the last few days? I don't think it would have.
  7. I fully expect them to rush Trent with everything they've got, from all angles, to combat any secondary deficiencies.
  8. It was kid's day. They were probably 12. Nice job, pedophile!
  9. They throw to him when he's double covered? I wasn't aware that was possible. Here in Buffalo, when Lee is double teamed, that means we've got to forget about him and throw to the tight ends and running backs.
  10. I love good discussion and different points of view, that's why I come on here. I like hearing valid arguments that don't agree with mine. What I don't like is people having an opinion without anything substantial behind it. I don't care if you like Jackson or not. If you do, tell me you think he hasn't had a fair shake in Minnesota, or tell me that you think the 4 game stretch is the start of something, or tell me that he is progressing each time he's on the field. But don't tell me that the time he's already been on the field warrants him being a starter over Trent. Obviously the Vikings (who drafted him and hope he works out more than anybody, for their own jobs) have been trying to replace him for quite some time, and feel that starting 40 year old QB's for two seasons in a row are better options for the team. Don't tell me that a 3rd stringer somewhere is going to come in and start over Trent based on his production so far. You want to say that you think Jackson can start over Trent in the future, fine. Or even that you think his long term potential is greater than Trent's, fine. Or even that given the chance, or maybe a change of scenery, he could really do well, sure. But don't try to argue that what he's done so far is enough, because it isn't. It isn't enough for the Vikings, and it isn't enough for a team to even give up a 5th rounder for.
  11. No one made fun of the thread title yet? Wow. Come on, Buggs. You can't block a QB?
  12. The thread was about which QB was a better backup, Fitzpatrick or Jackson. But nice try.
  13. Please tell me what Trent has to do with this, or why all of a sudden we're comparing the two. I never said anything about him being better or worse than Trent. Some idiot actually referred to me as a Trent apologist. Where are you helmet droolers getting that from? And to all of you who think a shotgun passing attack with a no huddle offense and two pro bowl type receivers doesn't make the QB the focal point of the offense, you're in for a rude awakening once the season starts.
  14. Pashos doesn't give you anything more than Bell, Chambers or Scott would, IMO.
  15. And also signed LT Thomas from the Eagles in free agency.
  16. I don't even know where to start with you people trying to argue that he's a good QB based on a 4 game stretch. JP Losman had more touchdowns in his first year starting than Trent has in his entire career. Your moronic thinking would lead to JP being the better QB. Let's ignore the fact that the Vikings have been trying to find an alternative at QB every year that he's been there. I'm sure that means nothing. After the 4 game performance that so many of you are now annointing him better than Trent, his coach and front office went and TRADED for a new starting QB, and THEN upgraded again in signing Favre. Your amazing QB is now 3rd on the depth chart and they're listening to offers to dump his azz. But that doesn't matter, his stats in 4 games make him unstoppable!!!!
  17. Normally, I'd say Denney is one, but with much of the regulars not playing, it might be a good opportunity to start Ellis, Bryan and Maybin rotationally. However, this IS the Jauron staff.
  18. Week 17: Giants - The Giants were already comfortably in the playoffs, they had nothing at stake. They played David Carr at QB for Christ's sake. The Vikings could still barely beat them. It helps when Adrian Peterson is running for 67 yard touchdowns and they're kicking 50-something yard field goals as time expires to beat the Giants' second string. Week 16: Falcons -Solid game by Jackson Week 15: Cards -It certainly helps your case as a QB when your RB rushes for 165 yards and sets the franchise record for his 9th 100 yard game in one season. It also helps when your WR runs a punt back for an 82 yard touchdown, and the other team's offense is turning the ball over like it's a hot potato. Week 14: Lions (nuff' said) - Jackson barely played in this one, and it was against the worst team in NFL history, and oh yeah.. Peterson rushed for over 100 yards again. Look, the guy can certainly be solid at times. But in Minnesota, he's not the focal point of the offense. He just has to not make mistakes. In Buffalo, we have a no huddle air attack. The QB is the focal point. I really don't want a guy who is struggling to not make mistakes in one offense, coming in to one where he's gotta be the main guy. I would certainly want him on my team to develop, but I wouldn't want him on the field right away and I wouldn't give up a decent draft pick for him.
  19. I'll play along anyway. On offense... their ENTIRE offensive line is better than ours. Their TE is better than ours. Their RB is better than ours. I'd take Percy Harvin in the slot over anyone we throw out there (Reed or Parrish). Seperate topic, but wow, has anyone watched him play so far? Looks like Eddie Royal last year. Bernard Berrian is pretty similar to Lee. Certainly debateable, but he's no slouch. Overall a superior offense.
