  1. You’re talking best case scenario though. Robinson isn’t likely there so it’s more like: Would your rather have something like a second tier WR/OL/DB/DE or trade and get an extra 3rd and an extra lottery pick. I don’t think anyone would argue that if Bijan Robinson or Peter Skoronski or Broderick Jones etc are there that you take them vs trading down but the realism there is the guys that the Bills have at a position of need aren’t going to be worth the 27th pick so why not add another lottery ticket
  2. Yes there are guys I could understand. If Brian Branch is there, if Trenton Simpson is there. There are some D-Ends that could be there that could be difference makers. I wouldn’t be displeased as long as it’s an explosive athlete that I feel can be a difference maker at the next level.
  3. I think you have to look at his circumstances. He had Covid year in 2020. He was off to an awesome start in 2021 before tearing his ACL and then this year is a recovery year as we know that you can get back on the field from an ACL tear but your really not back to normal normal until another year. I don't think he's Buffalo's type of Tight End. The Bills want an inline guy who can do both at an above average clip. I still think looking at all of the Tight Ends that Tucker Kraft is the best pure fit for the Bills. He can block and catch passes. He has a really good build and had good testing numbers. He has some explosiveness in the passing game. His knock is he played at the FCS level but being from the midwest at a small middle of nowhere school he also kind of fits the McDermott/Buffalo blue collar type player that the Bills covet.
  4. Premium Centers like Schmitz tend to ride up draft boards the closer to the draft or gets. Wouldn’t surprise me if Schmitz goes in the last 10 picks of round 1 esp in a weak draft like this
  5. I agree that blocking TEs are a no. To be fair there haven’t been many TEs to go in round 1. The ones who have haven’t been good you probably have to go back to Greg Olsen, Vernon Davis and Heath Miller as guys who fit your criteria and that’s 15 years ago. I think after testing the only guy who should be a first rounder is Dalton Kincaid and he didn’t work out at the combine. Luke Musgrave had a nice combine combine with production and pedigree could vault him up to the end of round 1. Mayer will be interesting now. His testing numbers were not great but his college production is obviously great. I think he slipped down the board some. TE Rankings for me: Kincaid Musgrave Laporta Kraft Mayer Washington
  6. He's not anywhere near as athletic as people are portraying him to be at the TE position. I will be very surprised if Darnell Washington is a freak of nature TE in a couple of years. He will be a possession, good blocking TE in the NFL if that is worthy of a first round pick than so be it.
  7. He has been a commentator for the ACC Network for the last couple of years
  8. There are some guys, just the “better guys “ are the smaller ones. Production wise I love Xavier Hutchinson from Iowa State. A lot will depend on testing but can’t beat his college production
  9. I agree that the value, if they stay put at 27 is not at WR. The value lies on the interior offensive line(Avila, Schmitz), TE(Kincaid, Mayer), DE(Van Ness, Smith, Byron Young, or a LB like Trenton Simpson who the Bills could use all over their defense esp if McDermott plans on being more aggressive
  10. Have the TEs gone yet? I keep telling people that if the Bills want offensive playmaker in round 1 the value is most likely going to be at the TE position and not at WR. I know Dalton Kincaid isn’t doing anything but curious about the other TEs who could go top 3 rounds A guy I really like for the Bills as a fit is TE Tucker Kraft out of South Dakota State. He’s the small school Michael Mayer very similar games.
  11. Jalin Hyatt is way more athletic than James Hardy was. Jalin Hyatt is supposed to run high 4.2 to low 4.3. I agree with you he has higher bust potential his upside if he reaches it is way higher than Zay Flowers especially. The Bills have had more success drafting high end green athletes than they have limited athletic traits great college tape guys. I honestly am starting to think and ik it will be opined but TE makes a hell of a lot of sense when it comes to value meeting need.
  12. I agree that Avila is a better prospect especially for the Bills. Saw that the Bills met with Mayer today. I’m not against that move depending on what the Bills do in Free Agency. I think out of all the early TEs he fits what the Bills like to do and he reminds me of a lot of the old school Miami Tight Ends Addison isn’t dropping to 27. Zay Flowers to me is a solid pick but to me Jalin Hyatt is the perfect compliment to what we have as it sits right now. The Bills don’t need an underneath guy. Diggs is a great underneath guy and as he ages will have to become more of that player out of the slot. Davis should be a big possession guy who works the intermediate area. Hyatt would be that 3rd level player to open up underneath for Diggs and David amongst others
  13. I think TE is an outside possibility in the top 2 rounds of the right guy is there. Meyer is their type of guy. A guy who can block and cause certain matchup problems
  14. I think he’s very similar at least arc wise to David Bell. He was highly thought of in the media, big production , then flopped in all of the stuff and ended up a 4th rounder. I think Rice, if he doesn’t run well, will end up in round 4 or 5
  15. Rice from SMU needs a huge combine. He was awful at the Senior Bowl. Couldn’t separate from DBs and he’s not a huge WR who can win contested. I was disappointed as I usually love SMU WRs but I would pass on him
  16. My wish list of realistic guys imo are: WR : Jalin Hyatt WR: Zay Flowers OG: Cody Mauch OG: Steven Avila OG/OC: John Schmitz TE: Michael Meyer TE: Dalton Kincaid ( might not be there)
  17. Torrence, imo isn’t a first round pick. He’s also too big. Guys that big usually have trouble controlling their weight. I want no part of the guy. Not to mention he’s a bad scheme fit.
  18. I said it once and I’ll say it again if I’m drafting Darnell Washington I’m drafting him as a LT and no I’m not joking. As for TEs I can def see it as a possibility at 27. There will be a really good value player there and that guy can affect the run and pass game. Dorsey also loves 12 personnel. I just don’t see Washington as that guy
  19. Frazier won’t be back after the one year hiatus unless it’s in a senior analyst role. This was a nice way of we’re moving on but probably have an internal candidate they’re going to give the job to. I hope it’s someone who wants to be more aggressive like Spagnuolo who gets crushed sometimes but always dials up the right one or two calls to get a stop when they need it
  20. Now break it down further okay we have spent more on offense in the 2nd and 3rd round. Problem is 3 of them are on a non premium position in RB, the guy had been an awful day 2 drafter but he also has put too many premium picks into a non premium area
  21. The problem is the first wave is a 3 footer without Miller and the 2nd wave is a puddle after all the money invested
  22. Well I mean Miller does play for Buffalo so that would explain the buffalo image and the eye could be like man look who I’m working out with or damn this dude is jacked since we’re all on the speculation train and running with it
  23. Guys work out together all the time on other teams. Doesn’t mean anyone is recruiting anyone
  24. I know its early but the schedule is absolutely brutal. I still think the Bills will make the playoffs but it wouldn't surprise me if the Bills don't win the AFC East next year and end up say 10-7 or so.
