  1. I think HER face was pasted in to that picture. This child was never asked to her own prom and, four years later, has not given up.
  2. I must agree - most likely a smokescreen. Why would anyone announce who they plan to draft unless they have the number one pick overall (in which case it wouldn't matter)? It would just create more interest in the player by others and allow them to strategize better with one less unknown in the puzzle, even if they don't have an interest in him themselves. Of course, that would only happen if they were sucked in - not likely. We can be pretty certain that Campbell is NOT their target, and the other GMs recognize it for gamesmanship too. Or can we? Maybe he really IS their target and they are declaring it so know one really thinks he is!! Or, .... And on it goes!
  3. Definitely an honor! I'm old enough to remember him as a very smart starter on the UB basketballl team - a playmaker.
  4. No big deal, we just see it differently. This is a slow time for Bills talk about players currently on the roster, so I asked the question. I was interested in Trafford - I watched him play in college (South Carolina). Two posters also apparently had some interest and provided their perceptions/insights, which I appreciate. If the topic doesn't matter to you (which I can understand since you have not followed him and he is certainly a longshot to make the roster), fine. But then why bother to even read the post (which was clearly stated) and then respond with "Who cares"? Personally, I don't have any interest in reading about or posting about some offensive lineman project from _____ who might be a good pick in Round 5 (a 1 in 1000 possibility to ever happen). So I just don't do it. Anyway, no offense intended.
  5. No way that TD is going to touch this head case, talent aside. Sounds like a prospect for the Raiders.
  6. That's two out of eight, I'll give you this - you are consistent (and you just proved my point). Anyway, thanks for the two posts that addressed my question.
  7. Thanks for an intelligent, knowledgeable reply to my question. That makes 2 of 6 - which is about par, I guess.
  8. True, Fair Hooker did OK. Good thing he wasn't a girl. She'd have had a hard time making a living.
  9. Don't laugh just yet. He reportedly looked good in pre-season last year and was a late cut. The Bills brought him back when injuries hit late in the season. He must have shown them something. Any speculation as to whether he might make the team? Has anyone more knowledgeable then I seen enough to assess his chances?
  10. Forget Shelton. We can and will get more for Travis now or will keep him as a first-rate backup for 2005.
  11. Ah, Crystal Beach again. Can you believe I dreamed about it again the other night? Laff in the Dark, The Old Mill, The Wld Mouse. The Fun House. Are you trying to torture me with how old I suddenly am? (Thanks for the memories.)
  12. I could live with that scenario (although I think it is a long shot). I would not count on Shelton in the equation, however. TD has lost interest in him.
  13. Yes, Archway coconut macaroons. Accept no substiutes.
  14. There were (and always are) proven, serviceable running backs available prior to the start of the season that he could have picked up. Or, even Joe Burns? I'm not defending Sullivan and his 20-20 hindsight and I trust TD's judgement. I just thought the coincidence was kind of ironic.
  15. Good to hear you are doing much better. Watch your diet and you will be fine. And, TRY THE MACAROONS! They work.
  16. If we had traded Henry last year, we'd have had to go with a running back who was an unproven rookie (Shaud Williams) or another one who had not yet fully recovered from a serious injury (WM). TD would never have done either with a critical position like RB! Oh, wait! He's going with someone darned close to a combination of the two at QB this year (and got nothing for the player he replaced).
  17. If we are not looking beyond 2005, yes.
  18. Hardly worth arguing over. After all, " A bird in the hand is worth =====." Right?
  19. Pretty simple, really. Travis is worth more than Shelton in the market. Travis is a starter (somewhere); Shelton might be. Hold out, get an extra pick or pick up Shelton in a pretty much disinterested free market.
  20. Have to agree. It is quality. Let's see. Today we have seen Drew himself ridiculed, his parents. and now his house. Have we missed something? Perhaps, his car, his dog, his favorite toilet paper, or his taste in beer (no, that happened earlier - PBR). Live with it, its a great house that we would all love to own someday, and far nicer than most of us ever will. And it is owned by DREW BLEDSOE! Aghhhhh.
  21. Bledsoe (for a while) and Flutie (while he was here) brought excitement to the Bills and filled the stands. Let's give them their due and move on. JP promises to do the same and, hopefully, a lot more. We shall see. Frankly, I've never understood the hatred of Flutie by some on TSW. He was a short, over-achiever, who gave everything he had to his career. Oh, maybe that's it.
  22. Guess we won't be trading a Pro Bowl running back for another back-up lineman. Come on, TD, you've blown it again!
  23. Why does it surprise you that it will be a "slow listing"?
  24. Look at the bright side - every time they use the word "dude" it occupies conversation time that would otherwise be filled with "like."
