  1. But then they wouldn't be throwbacks anymore...
  2. I promise you one thing. If I owned the damn team and the stadium was named after me....my damn owners box is on the 50 yard line.
  3. "The Dolphins now have fallen to the Bills and Texans, the teams that employed Mularkey and Capers as head coaches last season. Houston adjusted to Capers' blitzes, sliding protection and moving receiver Andre Johnson around. Mularkey? Where do you start? If you have a shoddy line, probably not with a slow-developing fake reverse."
  4. and whitner was the nfl rookie of the month. BUT WE COULD HAVE HAD LEINART!
  5. Wake up, the coffee is ready. Take a sip...
  6. It wasn't the offense that let the vikes drive down and score. Wasn't the offense that let robinson run wide open and drop the winning TD... By the way -- what has happened to Moorman? He hasn't been his dominant self since the Miami game. He hit some shankers again yesterday.
  7. As I count it, at least we are now down to 2 or 3 JP haters. That's a big improvement. Some people are not happy unless the people around them are miserable. If it's not negative or a complaint, they have nothing to talk about.
  8. I think your post is a result of poor decision making. Ever seen the Pats and Brady run the 2 minute drill? They dump it off to the RB and pick up a quick 10-15 yds every 3rd or fourth play. Gotta move the chains. Willis could have run for 10 - 15yds and gotten out of bounds, stopping Le Clock.
  9. What I take from the Press Conference....Jerry Sullivan is a first rate A*hole. His 1st question was "does this loss now bring you back down to earth"? What is that? To me, that is insulting and is not a class way to interview someone. He's just trying to stir something up by being confrontational. There are much better ways to ask the tough questions. Sully wants to make like he is a top writer, but the top national level writers show more class and respect for the people they cover. At least publicly. No wonder many of the bills and sabres duck the guy, and he gets no inside stories. His other question to JP was, if he got to see the magnificent way the Chad Pennington played and ran the game. That too is a big slap in the face. Turns out to be a loaded question, as it was the topic of Sully's column today... He has no class and no tact in dealing with people.
  10. I would take Nate's 7 Mill, Tim Anderson's 0.5 Mill, and trade it for a 4.5 Mill DT or LT, and a 3 Mil free agent CB. 3 Mil CB gets you a Quentin Jammer, marcus trufant type player. Nate isn't way better than those guys. Then add in Tommie Harris/Vince Wolfork, etc which are around the 3-4 mil range on defense, or a very solid OLineman.
  11. He may be one of the most overpaid guys in the NFL. Three games in, he hasn't done anything. Is there any difference so far between his play and Kings or Greer?
  12. Do you remember the time that Bobby Bouchey showed up at half-time and the Muddogs won the Bourbon Bowl....do ya?
  13. yes....there were a few times he should have taken off. That can be a nice part of his game, that he hasn't been using -- one more things that defenses would have to worry about.
  14. I didn't compare JP to Palmer -- I compared JP's defense to Palmer's defense Obviously, Palmer is now one of the top 3 or 4 QBs in the league. JP isn't close, but he is getting more towards the point of being serviceable.
  15. First, I totally agree with your viewpoint. That's exactly were I am also. But, I wouldn't call it a JP love fest! Hardly. I think it all starts when some posters come on and say things like "JP blew the game", "JP sucks", and "JP is not the future". That's a JP hate fest. Some of us don't agree that it was completely JPs fault we lost today. Some of us don't agree that JP sucks...and are not ready to make a call on if he is the future or not. So, we respond to comments like "JP Sucks, he blew the game" and is is mis-construed as a love fest. It is not. By the way -- Eli just threw his 3rd pick in the 1st half...
  16. Eli had the benefit of being +2 in turnovers in that game. He also coughed it up 3 times, but fortunately for him the giants recovered all of the fumbles. And, the giants still take OT to get the win. If the Bills would have recovered all their own fumbles today, and turned over the jets twice, they win going away. I bet Eli didn't have to deal with 35 mph winds and rain in that game, did he? It's a team game folks....
  17. ??? You mean he usually throws for over 300 yards? Where have I been the last 2 years? Exactly No, but it doesn't excuse Palmers mistakes either does it ? You contradict yourself -- you sound like you are happy the Bill lost today.
  18. 2 picks already in the 1st quarter for Eli. That guy is garbage
  19. Willis ran the ball well today. Too bad that's only one part of the game. He failed miserably in the other part of his game which is equally important -- blocking. Willis Grades: Running = B+ had some big holes today, but still didn't get it into the end zone Blocking = D Catching = C....he caught a few, and dropped a few
  20. I agree, not a good day for the coaches today. I don't think there was evidence for the reed catch to overturn. But the other dude was definately out. BTW, Damon Shelton was out for the 4th qtr...so they didn't have there goal line personnel available at the end
  21. No, that's not true. Palmer's defense took the ball away for him 3 times. JP didn't have 3 posessions gift wrapped for him.
  22. Agree...lindell has been money. Let him kick it thru with the aid of the wind. Also on 3rd and 1 at the goal-line, i hate the fake toss to willis, and roll out. I would have punched it up in there. It was stacked against them on that final drive, with the wind and then the rain coming down so hard. Tough break for the weather to turn like that. Still, JP should have ran on the last 4th down.
  23. The defense needed to get the ball back for the offense on the jets last drive. They let the Jets go down and score a TD. They stop them, and the bills go down and score like they did on the next posession anyway....bills win. Defense had a chance and blew it folks.
