The Imperial College London report suggests we will have waves of shutdowns and reopenings lasting 9-12 months. Some have suggested that Wuhan is back open for business, cases are under control, and it only took 5 weeks. That's not the case. The anti-body carrying population may now be OK but the rest are not and reopening for business opens the rest of the country to re-spread. China is not through this unless they have a perfectly functioning quarantine system, which is impossible. And we in the US are not China. My greatest concern after health and it's really close to health is the economy and what is about to happen. A large portion of the population currently has $0 in the bank or will soon. Not, "we have a credit line we can draw on" but $0. That's people and businesses. That is not workable. We cannot stay shutdown for long so my guess is that although we may flatten the curve a little, the pig in the python of cases to overwhelm the healthcare system is coming, and maybe in many waves. Not exactly a convincing response.

The most encouraging news in the press conference yesterday was that the US would have the capability of doing 1,5, and 10 million tests per week over the next 3 weeks. When we are testing the snot out of people, that's when we will see a massive COVID-19 spike in cases, but also can start knowing there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Because until we are hard core quarantining the infected people (and their contacts), we can't reopen the economy, and if we want to return to a recognizable country, we need to that really quickly. For those minimizing it, it's probably time to stop. What's happening in Europe is no way to tackle this. The US reacted too slowly but faster than the EU has and it will make a difference.

I sort of wanted the Bills to beat him fair and square in NE. He definitely goes out as the owner of the Bills for a generation of football. -
The shutdown at best flattens the curve. This thing isn't going to be stopped by social distancing of a few weeks unless there's a vaccine or cure in a month available to all (not happening). It's coming. It took 2 months from Wuhan and POTUS got directly exposed at least twice. Thinking any of us isn't getting it is naive. That doesn't mean we should go take risks. Just noting that the best we can all do is social distance as much as possible and try to put some slack in the healthcare system.

I haven't seen it yet but his use of the MAGA hat (and general season setup) in ep 1 was pretty stellar.

I like ryes myself of the whisky family. Favorite of those is Whistle Pig. High West makes a good one too. Favorite but hard to get bourbon is Stagg Jr. But I also like the High West American Prairie that is a little more affordable. Fav scotch is Balvenie doublewood 12. All those will set you back at least $70 a bottle. But I only have a couple drinks of them a month so it doesn't break the bank. Parties break the bank because my friends enjoy them!

Phillips played well for two years off the Miami scrap heap. He didn't complain and he's earned his payday. Why crap on him? -
I suggest in a friendly way that your choice of "or" as conjunction should be "and" to make your point. There were 100% abuses by adults, other kids, and the Scouts. Where there are lots of kids, abusers will be drawn. I was a long time scout. Never had issues but it would not have been hard for an adult or sick kid to take advantage of a prevailing culture that lauded bullying kids and adults mostly looked the other way as others noted, or participated in their own way. I had fun but it was also a messed up setting in many ways with a dark Lord of the Flies underbelly. I hope a civic minded organization with outdoors skill teaching survives and learns from this.
