  1. I like the OP for the most part, though I am not sold on TT. I like Deshaun Watson. This means I don't think he's Taylor 2.0. At minimum, he's a legit 6'3" and I suspect Taylor is actually around my height (5'11"). All that said, I love the Mike Williams at #10 idea. I would still like to add a qb early in the draft. I don't think Watson will fall, but if he is around late first, I find a way to move up and grab him. I also like Mahomes in the second. I'm okay with Taylor as a bridge qb. If he turns out better than I imagine, great. I'd be happy to be wrong. I read somewhere that the particular version of the 4-3 McDermott favors (cover 3?) does not require outstanding safety play. I don't think we need to spend a first on safety. WR and RT are the most immediate offensive needs if Taylor is retained. On D, I hope we keep Gilmore and Zac somehow. Apparently there is a lb on Carolina, AJ Klein, that would be a good fit that may come our way. Sorry, this is a bit rambling. To johnwalter: I have no idea what kind of offense Lynn would actually implement. It just seems it might be uncomfortable given he was considered for the head coach position and we went elsewhere. If there were players who preferred Lynn, that might add tensions as well, though that is obviously speculation and maybe it is not a problem at all.
  2. Google translator working not.
  3. I think his drafts are pretty good, but he takes more character/injury risks than I like. (But I actually think a GM needs some river boat gambler.) Whoever is on the Lynn, keeping TT side is not the one I prefer. Whatever the choice, I always hope for the best. Too old to change teams to root for.
  4. Okay, but what's the point of a GM?
  5. I made a similar comment ten minutes ago. This is disheartening if true.
  6. I appreciate that you post here and that you are reliable. Obviously, I don't know what you have, but I certainly hope the Pegulas are actually going to let Whaley make the decision. What's the point of having someone who represents football expertise and then consistently ignoring them and going your own way?
  7. It's probably a mutual thing.
  8. OP, I have been reading these boards for a while and I'm sorry to inform you that everyone hates you.
  9. I'm with you. Lots of folks seem to think Watson will be available at #44 (of course, they don't like him, either.)
  10. I think that is an interesting point. A lot of folks have concluded no Tyrod equals no Lynn. I surmise, as you speculate, this indicates a greater likelihood he is the hire.
  11. I don't think anyone would use that kind of substitution in today's game. I think Taylor doesn't see enough of the field. If they go in another direction, that is mainly why. Jones needs more seasoning by all accounts. I like his attitude, though.
  12. The difference, it seems to me, is that you draft NHL talent at 17 years old and often develop that talent in the minors or international play. NFL shelf life is less and draft picks usually need to contribute right away, though one has to build in maturation time, especially at qb. Also, hockey has an 18 man roster, so high picks are a significant percentage of the roster. I think one normally builds an NFL team differently. I'm not convinced the Cleveland idea will ever turn out well.
  13. I agree with this analysis. At minimum, it makes a plausible case for why a GM might not want Taylor.
  14. Any sentence with Gadzooks in it has got to be on target.
  15. I think the folks who derisively dismiss Reich as a nostalgia ploy and then link the idea to Brandon are engaged in lazy cheapshots. Character and intelligence are excellent qualities in a head coach. Marv Levy has them in spades. Reich certainly warrants consideration.
  16. I agree. We are a mediocre team, not a dumpster fire. We are in the middle of available options. Despite media and message boards griping, I think the Pegulas' willingness to spend and basic decency are a plus for us.
  17. You are surprisingly rational and decent for a Pats* fan. This is correct. The answer for qb is not good enough.
  18. Some fly by night outfit in China was selling a shirt with that logo awhile back on Amazon. (NFL probably closed them down, I suppose.) I don't know who came up with it, but it is really nice. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Clever, even poignant, and not vulgar. Well done.
  20. Well, I pointed out to a fella earlier the intended nature of this post. That being said, I actually do like this one.
  21. I love the standing buffalo, but the OP just made the thread up so he could engage in gratuitous sarcasm at OBD's expense.
  22. Unhappy Rodhak pleases me. The fella can't wait to report bad news and puts a snide spin on everything.
  23. This the most positive take one could plausibly make. I tend to agree with it, but it's a minority opinion.
  24. Find a way to get Deshaun Watson, please.
  25. It's gnat, fella, and stop insulting diminutive insects.
