  1. Yep. Two of the leagues are leagues where there are actually 3 leagues total, and I play in two of them. There's a winner for each individual league, and a winner for laeder of total points across all of them. Dustin and I split one of the teams, and that team is 22 points off the lead for all of the teams, which is like $1k. That would be awesome. The tough part is that team is in league #1 (best competition), where as the team we're chasing is in league #3 (easiest competition). I'm only in one league that isn't a $100+ buy-in, and that's a $20. I'm hoping to at least break even!
  2. Actually, nevermind, apparently 6 teams made the playoffs and I was one of them and won, LOL. Only league I'm out of it is Austin.
  3. Yup. In the playoffs in 3 leagues out of 5 still. One of the leagues where I didn't make the playoffs is brutal. Dustin and I have the 2nd and 3rd most points in the league, and neither of us made the playoffs. I missed it at 7-7, he missed it at 5-9. Even worse, my division had 4 teams that outscored the entire other division, but only one of our division's teams made the playoffs.
  4. It's not really destructive to state Choice isn't as good as FJax or CJ. Everyone in that locker room knows it, even Choice. Kind of a silly thing to try to grill Gailey on. There's much better stuff without stretching something like this.
  5. Did any of you actually read TFA (the f'in article)? I don't see anything wrong with him saying Choice is a very good back, but not on the level of a C.J. Spiller or FJax. "We're going to get the opportunity here in the next few weeks for [spiller] to get it a lot and we won't have what I term two great backs," Gailey said. "I think Tashard is a very good back, but to me he's not in Fred's category. So there won't be a lot of sharing of duties. C.J. will have to take a big part of the load now."
  6. Most teams will generally call two plays based upon what they think the defense is doing. If they don't get the matchup they were looking for, the QB can call "KILL" to switch to the other play. How the teams use it is different, of course. It could be a called pass play killed into a run. It could be one pass play killed into another. Or a run into a pass. Totally depending on scheme, coordinator, team, strategy, gameplan, etc. Most of the time it's a pass into a run, but not always. It also varies depending on quarter, situation, etc. Typically teams change their calls on a quarter by quarter basis, but it's again depending on coach / qb / coordinator / etc.
  7. Jordy was out a while too.
  8. PS told you your team was pretty good
  9. Injuries killed me this year. Sadly, first time not making the playoffs in a while.
  10. Pumpkin ravioli
  11. Nice! Have you been on the Jewel? I'm interested with Norwegian starting to sail her out of Texas in 2014
  12. We're gonna have to talk about that.
  13. But what the hell was he doing in the red zone tonight? Did we even call one run with CJ in the game? Most of the time, I understand why he does what the does in certain situations. But tonight, CJ was running all over everyone, and he didn't even try to switch it up in the RZ. He just continued on the same plays that didn't work.
  14. This is one of the best things I've ever seen. Thanks so much for posting.
  15. Houston on Offense under Kubiak, pre-Wade Phillips: 28th, 14th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd Buffalo on Offense under Gailey: 25th, 14th, 15th (this year) Houston on Defense under Kubiak, pre-Wade Phillips: 24th, 24th, 22nd, 13th, 30th Buffalo on Defense under Gailey: 24th, 26th, 29th (this year) Houston on Defense under Kubiak-Wade: #2, #2 (this year) There's a lot of parallels here. Houston's O really took off in their first year after finding a QB (Year One of Schaub was ranked 14th on O, steadily improved once they found acouple of running backs). Houston's D was terrible (they went though two defensive coordinators before Wade) before they finally were able to get a D cord that works for them. They had a lot of talent, but also some holes to work through (like the Bills). I'm OK with keeping Chan, getting a new QB and D Cord, and filling in some holes on D. It's a blueprint for how the Texans were finally successful.
  16. From a Broncos forum thread about Gary Kubiak in 2010: "Gary Kubiak has been on hot seat for couple years....nothing new to see here. He is a glorified Offensive Coordinator. Nothing more. Crappy head coach." From a thread at TexansTalk (http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1601643): "That right there tells me its time for Gary to go. We need a real head coach and not a glorified offensive coordinator."
  17. I think you missed the 4. It goes: 5 4 3 2 1
  18. Could be one of the all time greats. I wish we used him more.
  19. This game is on Fred Jackson's fumble. For all the good he did, that was terrible.
  20. Charly laughed. I'm pretty sure she is rooting against me too.
  21. I really needed it. Rashad Jennings has been such a disappointment filling in for MJD though, and since McFadden is hurt my other choice is between backup Joique Bell or Steven Jackson vs SF. :puke:
  22. I am really disappointed that a meteor didn't hit the stadium today. Guess I didn't cheer loud enough for it.
  23. You probably shouldn't flex anyone this week.
  24. Sounds like its time for L
  25. Hows it feel contributing to the Republicans loss?
