  1. I would, without a doubt, make the trade for Forte. Click accept.
  2. If you weren't so busy sticking your nose up Mike Leach's ass on this board, you would have noticed that I used the word juvenile to describe fan boys who bring up Jim Kelly's name every time we begin another coaching search. Now go put on your pink, autographed Mike Leach panties and finish your day.
  3. Kelly not working in the NFL right now has nothing, I mean nothing to do with his son having Krabbe disease. I stand by what I said 100%- if Kelly is too lazy to work himself up the ladder the right way(see Jim Harbaugh at Stanford) he needs to keep stay in the stands. If not in the stands ,he needs to hang out with all of his imaginary billionaire friends who plan on buying the Bills.
  4. Sorry, he doesn't deserve to be anointed for being too damn lazy. Kelly was a great Bill, but the complexity of the game has changed mightily since he was a QB in the league. This, he was a great QB, he would make a great OC, is juvenile in my opinion, and is usually held by the Bills fans who think with emotion rather than a brain. He has been out of the league since 1996 and has shown little evidence that he will willing to work at anything, much less the grind that is the life of a successful NFL coach. Move on- the 1990's are over.
  5. Mallett mentioned yesterday
  6. All the more reason why these Kelly threads are always so annoying. Every other ex-player has to work there way up the ladder to be head coach, but Kelly would expect to be anointed.
  7. As per The National Football Post: Brian Brohm has left the Green Bay Packers' building, and their roster. Brohm decided tosign a two-year contract with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday night despite an offer to rejoin the Packers' active roster, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Brohm has been on the Packers' practice squad since being cut Sept. 5 heading into the regular season. Per the report, Brohm was offered an identical deal to the one the Bills extended. And the Packers had an opening after cutting wide receiver Jake Allen. Brohm is a former second-round draft pick from Louisville who has struggled in the NFL following a prolific college career. The Bills could offer him an opportunity to jumpstart his career with a fresh start on a team that currently has Ryan Fitzpatrick as its starter ahead of Trent Edwards.
  8. Per Rotoworld NFL.com's Vic Carucci reports that the Bills will meet with former Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan next week. Carucci confirms that Shanahan is Buffalo's "No. 1" head coaching target. The meeting will involve owner Ralph Wilson and COO/GM Russ Brandon, who Shanahan would probably give a pink slip to if he's hired. It's well known that Shanahan wants full control of football operations, even if taking on such responsibilities didn't work out towards the end of his Broncos stint. Wilson is reportedly willing to offer The Mastermind any amount of salary to take the job.
  9. That is even an uglier resume than Turk Schonert's. Maybe the ugliest I have ever seen for a man being considered for a head coaching job in the NFL. He certainly isn't on the fast track. I especially love the out of the league stint from 1991-95.
  10. Ryan Mallett from Arkansas. I know it's early, but Jake Locker will probably be gone before we pick, and IMHO Mallett is the second best prospect at the QB position. Mallett is 6-6 220, and has arguably the strongest arm in college football. Scouts.Com blurb: "One of the top junior quarterback prospects in the nation. Has the size, arm strength, (70+ yards), throws a very good deep ball and has the brains both on and off-the-field. Needs to work on his mobility and his short and intermediate passing". I'm hoping Dave McBride will dust this post off after the draft and bump it to show my keen eye for talent.
  11. I really like the thought of Shanahan coming to Buffalo- especially considering the 3 jokers they mentioned as possibilities (Killdrive, Trestman, Haslett) As far as him having total control over personnel- I'm a bit weary because of the Maurice Clarett debacle.
  12. No brainer. Ray Rice will be a first rounder in drafts next year. He's also young, plays on a team that is committed to running the football and hasn't had his career year yet. His potential is huge-he's just scratching the surface.
  13. You guys think you have it bad- I lived in Chicago for Jauron's full stint as head coach of the Bears. Low and behold, move back to Buffalo and get the "Jauron experience" for 3 1/2 years with my home team. Ughh........
  14. At least no jackass has mentioned George Siefert. Oh, wait.......
  15. Jim Harbaugh is certainly a consideration if we hire an experienced GM and they deem him a worthy candidate. One thing of note -here is an old report from The Associated Press from 1997: Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jim Harbaugh was hoping to settle a dispute by having a conversation with former Buffalo Bills quarterback and NBC analyst Jim Kelly. Instead, Harbaugh settled the dispute with his fists. Harbaugh sustained a small fracture in his right hand Saturday when he slugged Kelly. Harbaugh now stands to miss at least two games - including Nov. 9 against the Bengals - and two pay checks. ''I consider this something personal between Jim Kelly and I. We settled things,'' Harbaugh said. Apparently, Kelly had questioned Harbaugh's toughness while working as an analyst.
  16. I've always been a fan of Marv as a person and hold in high esteem all those that helped make our glory years possible. The bottom line is that not only did Marv do a horrible job as a GM, but he also QUIT on what he assembled here way before any of us did.
  17. Come on. Lets stop the nonsense. There are more top notch, proven, winning head coaching candidates available this off -season than probably any time in NFL history and you want the Bills to consider a college coach, much less one you think might get canned? I don't get it.
  18. Just a reminder that the 2001 draft was actually quite good. Donahoe the Devil worshipper that he is, did better without Modrak.
  19. Yes, didn't you see in the news he just fixed up a house on the west side?
  20. I'm glad this information is coming from a proven, trusted source like Carucci. I can't wait for the new regime!
  21. I have 2 Basenji dogs. Zoey will be 10 this month, Niko will turn 3. Basenji's are known as the barkless dog from Africa. Out of Africa, the Basenji was originally found in the Congo. He uses both scent and sight to hunt and was originally used to flush small game into a hunter's nets and to control village rodent populations. Clever and endearing, he's a good companion for the person or family who can stay a step ahead of him.
  22. Who the are the 20 people that voted for Ron Jaworski as GM? Are you all from Lackawanna? The stupidity meter is off the charts.
