Round 1, Pick #9: CJ Spiller RB Clemson
In space no one can hear replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the Spiller pick. He was BY FAR the best player on the board when we pick- a novel idea right? Well it's an approach the Bills haven't followed in years and why we are a complete mess. When Butler/Smith and Nix took over the Chargers they were the worst team in the league. Their first pick? A rinning back-L.T. Spiller will elevate the play of those around him. My confidence in Buddy Nix just grew leaps and bounds. He gets it. -
Welcome back Beerball. Cheers to you, and cheers to your family for showing us all what family means when times get tough.

This has fast become my all time favorite thread on TSW. Why? It has shined a light on the strength of the community that lies beneath the surface of this message board. This thread has shined an even brighter light on the Beerball family as they have coped with a health emergency that would have left a lesser family decimated. They "circled the wagons" around Beerball- with abundant love, strength and humor in such amounts that I have to tell you Beerball- you are one of the most fortunate men I know. Cheers to your continued recovery!

Saints re-sign Deuce McCallister

Deuce is 31. Amazing the short career of RB's. -
Hall of Shame?

Lou Saban. On the behalf of Ralph Wilson- others pushed urgently to get him in the HOF while he was still alive to enjoy the moment. Unfortunately, Ralph was too stubborn to allow Lou Saban the pleasure of seeing his name on The Bills Wall of Fame where it rightfully belongs- despite others attempts to make it happen. Screw Ralph.

The Eagles drafted Kolb in 2007 with an early 2nd round pick to be the heir to McNabb. Kolb has been groomed in their system for a few years, and when filling in for McNabb this year looks like the real deal. They are one of the most fortunate teams in the league to have a young QB in waiting who looks like he will be a solid QB for many years. They will NOT trade him. a mid round pick?? Come on. The McNabb years are almost over in Philadelphia.

Billboard This!: FIRE JEFF LITTMAN
In space no one can hear replied to ARMo822's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's the first rant against Littman I've heard in awhile. Wilson is insulated from the world by such a large group of lackeys, one can sometimes forget how many there are. Littman, Overdorf, Brandon, Guy, Modrak, etc. would any of these sheep be able to get another job in the NFL if the Bills let them go? Certainly Jauron and his staff weren't the only ones to blame for this past decade of failure. -
I don't believe in piling on, but feel I need to add an another incident that involved Marshawn this past summer. I was at the Galleria mall and had forgotten to bring my cell phone, so I had to use the mall's pay phones. After dialing the number and letting it ring like 20 times, I hung up. I walked away, and since I haven't used a pay phone in years, forget to take my change that was returned. Well, wouldn't you know, as I scurried back to get my 50 cents- I see Marshawn Lynch standing by the phone with that dumbass cheesy grin of his!! He was holding up in the air my two shiny quarters he had just taken from the coin slot!! Damn!! There were a few Bills players standing around him and they began giving Marshawn high fives and some were saying "he the man" "he the man", one player even held up his fingers in the shape of an L and pointed at me! :-( Well, being a bit intimidated....who wouldn't be?? I left the scene and haven't shared this event with anyone until now- here in the warm, accepting atmosphere of Two Bills Drive. Thank you for allowing me to share.

as per Rotoworld: according to SI.com's Jim Trotter, Vikings defense coordinator Leslie Frazier is the clubhouse leader for the Bills head coaching job. Frazier reportedly "blew away" new Bills GM Buddy Nix in his interview. He employs the same Tampa 2-style defense that Perry Fewell ran, so he wouldn't have to completely rebuild on that side of the ball. Trotter also reports that Frazier will still interview in Seattle because Pete Carroll has not been promised full control of the Seahawks. Jan. 9 - 12:34 pm et

My choice for Head Coach
In space no one can hear replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While Ozzie was on staff in Baltimore previously, he wasn't named GM of Baltimore until 2002. Marchibroda was gone in 1998. I saw Billick, "the offensive guru's"work with Baltimore's offense over a 9 year span. I was unimpressed to say the least.
