  1. There are a lot of WNYers here. Where in Concord does he live? In fact the guy that hired me was from Buffalo, was so nervous during the interview, did not even notice the bills and sabres stuff on his shelves.
  2. After 3 months of being unemployed. Nice early Christmas present. I wish all of you that are going through tough times get some good news too.
  3. The value usually depends truly on the mileage. For no matter how much restoration you do, you cannot turn back the mileage. That being said I have restored a 1965 caddy eldorado, 66 caddy conv., and a 64 convert., spent anywhere from 3,000-15,000 depending on the level of restoration. And these are by no means "showroom" cars. Had a buddy spend 30,000 on a 64 caddy that was one step below a frame off resto. I always used mine as daily drivers, because I wanted to enjoy them everyday. If it is worth it to you than do it.
  4. The Varsity in downtown...also go to the Coke Museum by the Underground, also in downtown
  5. this one? http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...m%3D1%26hl%3Den
  6. The best part of that was when they showed a clip from the 90's in LA. Cherry had on a pimp outfit and an earring. He was lisping throughout the interview...classic. The pimp outfit was his usual attire.
  7. wish I was closer...Id be there.
  8. Nobody's. Love Canal was a place in Niagara Falls NY that was a source of hazardous waste. One of the bodies of water it bordered was the Niagara River, right across from my house on Grand Island.
  9. Yeah, like I said earlier...just venting a little. You guys on this board always give a little "hometown" advice. Thanks.
  10. My wife doesn't understand it either. She get especially mad with the whipped guys. She doesn't understand why a woman would do that, and not let her man enjoy a night out on the town. My wife is great, and she is a bigger Sabres fan than me!
  11. Funny, now I thought that was your best quality.
  12. Not crying out for help...just complaining a bit. Thanks for the list, though. I did well.
  13. Yeah I saw deliverance too. But I still have my sight and all my teeth. Also, I am not that good to warrant any consideration as a "player".
  14. Dude, I am in NC. If you dont know about Dale jr, or Unc or Nascar, just by getting up in the morning...then there is something wrong with you. These people in my "development" are not NC born and raised. Like I said...they are all transplants, so I would say that I know more about the local venues then they do. Another example. Met the bible thumper within the first few weeks, and aside from his "preaching" him and his wife are really nice. Tells me he is a raiders fan. Well that season (05) the bills played at the raiders. So I invited him over. He shows up with raiders gear that he hasn't worn since 1980. Zubaz pants that were too small, a half shirt and a raiders bandana. Of course he doesnt drink so he can be closer to god. On top of that he doesnt know a single player on his team, but proceeds to yell and cheer every time they get a first down or even touch the ball.
  15. Yeah, I know. But I wasn't really complaining he drank too much...just that he couldn't control his bodily functions when he did. It went something like this..."That is my friend, Tim. No the other one, the one with the depends on..."
  16. Problem is, is that I have met a ton of people...none from the upstate area. I did meet a guy that was born in buffalo, and was a "supposed" Bills fan...but he doesnt watch the games and doesn't watch the Sabres because "hockey sucks". Most people I have met are from Long Island or Ohio. Just the way the migration pattern is in the piedmont.
  17. Hopefully Darcy might bring in someone at the deadline...
