  1. This concerns me to a degree. The Buffalo Bills proved to me that a team cannot stay lousy forever. The truth is that both the Jets and the Dolphins are in good positions for the future. I hope that we win multiple suoer bowls and do it soon.
  2. Good post! Just to pile on, there are no less than 5 highly rated quarterbacks in this draft which dramatically increases the value of picks. In another draft, Kellen Mond might be a first round pick. Here is the mere pittance that the Bills received for trading down from 8 to 16 in the 2013 draft. Of course we squandered the picks but that is another seperate issue. This year the price would at least double imo. In the deal, the Rams moved up to the No. 8 overall pick with Buffalo moving down to No. 16. The Bills received the Rams' second (No. 46 overall) and seventh-round (No. 222) choices in exchange, and the two sides swapped picks in the third round to get the deal done.
  3. Agreed. If we gave them our entire draft they would want additional first round picks. Not only that, I sense that there is no possible way that they would trade that far down.
  4. This is a slam dunk imo.
  5. I agree that they didn't get a huge return for Darnold. That said, why would they in a draft with just so many QBs and the #2 pick? Are the Panthers out of the QB race? I would say 99% chance yes, in terms of the apparent top 5. Would they take Mond from Texas A&M if he is there in the 2nd round? Maybe. I think that it would be a smart move (and btw an OK move by the Bills imho). I am probably going against the grain, but I think that the Panthers got the best of this deal by far. As always, jmo.
  6. This was not my experience. I got both shots at Walgreens. They were given by a pharmacist, not an RN. The woman was 100% professional; the shots were painless and the side effects were nothing but limited arm pain which went away quickly. There was no wait at all. I was completely satisfied.
  7. Sitting in a transit all night long Playing clubs and rocking right on The road's much too long since I've been wasting my time Wish I was home again sipping my wine And I'm gone, gone, gone, I don't care Cause I'm gone, gone, gone, I don't care It's where I'm from, I'm on the road again
  8. From my untrained eye he played like a safety against Alabama. He made some pretty nice tackles.
  9. You Can dress in pink and blue just like a child And in a yellow taxi turn to me and smile We'll be there in just a while If you follow me Me babe, steppin' out Into the night Into the light You babe, steppin' out Into the night Into the light
  10. That is an excellent point. If any of the numerous allegations against Watson are true, maybe we will see who the NFL is more concerned about alienating: dog lovers or women. PS: For the record, I believe that it shouldn't come down to this. It would be pretty cool if right and wrong entered into the equation.
  11. Love is so surprising Opened up my eyes and You reached out and took my hand Baby you touched a-my soul now Woman don't let go now Hold on baby just a little bit tighter
  12. I fully agree, and as much as I like Najee, he is not my first choice when we select. That said, he IS a great athlete. As big as he is, he leaps over defenders. He has great moves, is an excellent blocker, and really can catch. The only thing that he lacks is that extra step in terms of top end speed. Your comment about the number of carries is however something to seriously consider. I won't be mad if we select him but once again, I would prefer a blocker. Jmo.
  13. Dressed myself in green I went down to the sea Try to see what's going down Maybe read between the lines Had a feeling I was falling, falling, falling Turned around to see Heard a voice calling, calling, calling You was comin after me Back to me I had to move Really had to move That's why if you please I am on my bended knees Bertha don't you come around here anymore
  14. Eric's lead at 1:51. Clapton, Winwood, and Trucks. Just great music.
  15. Everybody's trembling and running around Picking up their money, tearing the tepee down Foreman wants a penny about to go insane Trying to get the workers out the way of the train Engineer blowing the whistle loud and long Can't stop the train, gotta let it roll on
  16. OK but past results indicate that it would probably result in a losing season.
  17. Thanks for this. Maybe my pessimism is the based on same reasons as those who are skeptical about Mac Jones. Both of them made it look easy but they played on great teams, and neither was a starter for a long period of time (1 year for Mac). I already had quite a bit of respect for OSU but it really did increase this season. They played Alabama with some important players missing and fought until the end. They will be a force for many years. Perhaps I fell into the trap of thinking that it's easy to go to one of these schools and excel. It helps, but it isn't that simple. I look forward to seeing what Fields will do in the NFL.
  18. When lonely days turn to lonely nights You take a trip to the city lights And take the long way home Take the long way home You never see what you want to see Forever playing to the gallery You take the long way home Take the long way home
  19. I am not sure what to think about Fields. I don't want to offend you Yolo but my instinctive reaction is that he is not all that good. I AM sure about how good OSU is. Fields? Not as much. I would appreciate learning your opinion of him. I think that when one watches every game and every play of a college kid, their opinion is worth some weight.
  20. Your post is interesting and true, but I suspect that things have changed at least to some degree. In many of the really old sitcoms (Bewitched, Hazel, Leave it to Beaver, Dennis the Menace, Honeymooners), the husbands looked either older or dorky and the wives ranged from fairly hot or to somewhat attractive. I don't watch any current sitcoms but it seems that in movies, things are evening out to some degree. One advantage women have over men is that we are much easier to read than they are. Of course this would vary from person to person but it is a generalization that always made lots of sense to me. Of course, all of the above is jmo.
  21. The waiting is the hardest part Every day you see one more card You take it on faith, you take it to the heart The waiting is the hardest part
  22. If you read my post I made it a point not to attest to the veracity of this claim. That said, I find the scenario you describe (which I believe) to be both ironic and funny. It also does cast aspersions on just how poorly we drafted in those days. A 12 year old kid with a copy of Pro Football Weekly would have known not to draft Parrish. Remember, even though he was a second rounder, he was our first pick in that particular draft. Beane has made a glaring error or two, but it does feel great to have a professional GM with a clue, let alone an owner who lets him do his job. 👍
  23. It wouldn't surprise me if much of his success was due to playing alongside Pitts.
  24. I don't know if this is true, but I remember hearing that while in Buffalo he opened his door, saw snow, and ran back inside.
