The #12 pick should be about $13+ million/5 year deal.
Phlegm Alley replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you'll see Turner sign for what Gore got extended for: 6 yrs/~30 million. -
I think Minnesota because they need some insurance and they do have a pretty good OL...at least better than what we provided here.

Anybody ever been to southern Spain? We are going to be staying not too far from the birth place of Picasso and not too far from Gibraltor, which is the shortest way to get into Morocco.

OK...lets go on record and...

Unfortunately, I think AJ is seeking a deal similar to what Matt Schaub, an RFA with little experience got. -
One of the worst lyrics of all time is a Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot song with this garbage: Beep Beep Who got the keys to the jeep Vroooooom Ok Missy.

I am praying Willis is taken when we pick
Phlegm Alley replied to RShirley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Pittman as well--he has a similar build to Thurmal at 5' 11" and under 200 lbs. If the Bills brass prognasticate that the RB class next year will be better and that they have a better prospect that may be available to them in next years draft, they may just wait til then. -

Is there a better 1970s band than the Ramones?
Phlegm Alley replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I nominate the Tom Verlaine led band Television. One of the greatest listening experiences of an album front to back is their album Marquee Moon. Highly recomended. -
IMHO, Def Bic

Kimbo Slice. Here are some Kimbo Slice fight videos. He is a bodyguard for pornstars down in Florida, but he is more known for his arranged backyard, bare-knuckle fights that have been filmed and put on youTube. I, for one, would never mess with Kimbo.

Where does all the love for Posluzny come from?
Phlegm Alley replied to NY Nole's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People here think he is the second coming of Shane Conlan and Marv loves high character white boys. -

I obviously think that the front office doesn't see Spikes being as good as Ellison if/when he becomes healthy. That was just too big of a question mark to go into the season with not knowing if he was going to return to full strength. I do think that Ellison does need to put on a few pounds, but the kid does have a head on his shoulders, and he progressed well as the season went on. As far as McGahee, I believe he was average. People can say what they will about the OLine not being that good, but show me a glimpse of something special. He was unable to really do that since he supplanted T-Hen. DO you remember the shovel pass they ran at home against the Pats that went for 60 yards, but we had to settle for a FG because McGahee got caught from behind? He has no breakaway speed, and he really can't break tackles unless he's stiff arming people. I really hope that we make a move for Turner. I think after seeing the extension that Gore recieved of $28M over 5 years, this would make Turner's price modest. Afterall, Gore has acutally proved something on the field over the course of an entire season and not just as a back-up. I don't think Turner will be traded before the draft though. -
Why not just trade them our high 2nd and keep our #12 to possibly get Willis or someone else that may be rated higher than the 30th pick.
-
I think Turner would have a monster year this year behind our new O-Line and with A-Train (who is a physical RB as well), we would have one of the more physical running games in the league. I would hope that the compensation would be a combination of a 3rd this year along with a 3rd next year, or our 2nd and 5th this year. This would allow us to fill a major hole at RB with a relatively proven commodity, and fill our other glaring need at either LB or CB, depending on who scouts have rated higher.

Do you like the trade Marv made with Philadelphia?
Phlegm Alley replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Obviously management/coaches feel that Ellison is ready to become a full time starter and be more effective than Spikes considering the Tampa 2 scheme that we play on D. In return, we get a viable starter at a position where we needed to get better considering the fact that we were awful against the run last year. This will allow us to draft the best player available at #12. -
Remember the guys who held Brett Favre's jock for all these years have actually gone on to be starters on other teams and have faired pretty well. Never underestimate the magical powers of holding Favre's jock.
-
If you look and see how much the increased spending has affected every team in the league, you will realize why Marv and Co. arean't giving up alot now, because it will benefit this team in the long run. We are going to ahve to use some of the remainder cap space of ~$20M to sign a couple of core leaders on this team in a few years: Losman and Evans. I also think that this front office is not going to mortgage the future with draft picks to move up in the draft to select AP this year. I think the Bills brass are looking down the road to next year where you will se an abundance of very talented RBs eligible for the draft. Ray Rice Steve Slaton Darren McFadden Mike Hart All these guys are first round talent so I think that the Bills will be looking forward to the future to select their new franchise guy, and for this year, rely on a RBBC and a servicable mid round flyer at RB.

About to Purchase iTunes Essential Jackson Browne
Phlegm Alley replied to The Big Cat's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I don't know much about Jackson Browne, but I did see him perform on stage with Steve Earle and Rosanna Cash in a benefit concert for politician John Hall (who is also a musician and wrote "Still the One"). One song I remember vividly as being a great song by Browne was "Crow on the Cradle". -

I can't stand metrosexuals. You know, the guys who pop the collar on their carnation pink shirts, wax their eyebrows, shave their chests, go tanning and spike their hair in the "Growing Up Gotti" fashion, and drink faggy mixed drinks. Living here in NYC and having to rely on the subways for transportation, I can't stand people trying to get onto the trains when the people who are trying to exit haven't gotten off yet. .
