  1. Re-read what Bill wrote. His point was that Peters is so good that he will be an all-time great. Bill was making his point in a round-about way.
  2. I disagree. That was a bone headed play by Royal. You take the points when you get them (duh). As much as the D was to blame, those were four additional points we left on the table.
  3. You sign up for a paypal account www.paypal.com. You will need to link a credit card to your account and/or your bank account. These should be where funds ultimately come from. Think of paypal as a middle-man in transactions. When you want to pay someone (SDS in this case), you go to the 'Send Money' tab, enter the email address (which SDS provided above), amount you want sent and your email address. Voila - the money is charged to your funding account and sent to SDS. Very easy once you get used to it.
  4. Do you have any reason to believe he will go to the highest bidder ? Yes, he has stated he wants to be richly compensated. But that may be posturing on his part also. After some early-season struggles, he has come on strongly in the second half of the season. Perhaps he is playing for the contract but it also might be that he now 'gets' the Fewell system. He may realize that going to a different team may reduce his national exposure. Secondly, the Bills are going to go deep in the playoffs next year (yeah, I got proof )., so he would want to be part of a successful run here. Finally, Jauron is a very player-friendly coach and Marv is a (great grand) fatherly figure. I bet if the Bills and he are just a few million dollars apart, he will stay.
  5. I have a tingling sensation too, though not in the spine, after seeing the Saints cheerleader on page 2.
  6. I had them at 8-8 and most optimistic would be 9-7. But, PTR rules .... http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=49798&hl=
  7. I haven't seen the Titans play much so am not sure what they are doing right. I do know however that both the Bills and Titans were given up for dead a few weeks back and have recently started winning. Kudos to Fisher and our own Jauron for a slam bang job in keeping the teams motivated. I think Young will have a sub-par performance but Henry will play like a mad man. Expect the Bills to go for some big plays on offense very soon and pressure your offense to rely more on the pass. Should be a good battle. Hope this one is not decided by any Home Run Throwback or similar cr@p.
  8. Perhaps we won't spend a whole lot on free agents cos we are planning on keeping most of our own. If we re-sign Nate, Fletcher, Lindell etc., get one or two meaningful FAs and have a good draft we should do just fine in our division title push.
  9. Good idea. Maybe his run today will give that idea to the coaches also, if they haven't had it already (or read your post).
  10. I was stunned at the lack of even a mention either of today's game or 'in the playoff hunt' segment. Perhaps that would have meant acknowledging their stupidity of Saban worship.
  11. I burst out laughing when I read that too.
  12. We play Dallas next year ? I am willing to bet it will be touted as, as will likely look like, the superbowl preview game.
  13. Peters goes against Taylor. So we will see what Taylor can do (or not do).
  14. Of the entire 7 page article, I loved his ripping of TO the most. If that is not as scathing an article in the football press as I have seen, I don't know what is. Excellent !
  15. Good one.
  16. The argument you will generally find against Willis (on this board) is not that he is the sole source of the problem. But that he isn't helping matters due to his lack of effort and hunger.
  17. And how long will that motivation last ? 2 games ? He plays well for a couple of games after being challenged/called out in some way, shape or form. My these I mean: the challenge by Travis for a starting job, Mularkey's statement about him not hitting holes hard, A Train playing well (which was followed by WM's good performance against Jax). So now we need Marv to mention his 'dancing' for him to play a couple of more good games. He is just not self-motivated guys. He may have talent but talent means squat if it does not translate into consistent performance. I have never been a lover/hater of WM, but the SD game put me firmly in the 'hater' camp much as I dislike such extreme labeling people use on this board. If KellyTFBD makes logical arguments, he is a lover. if someone calls him out for his dancing, he/she is a 'hater'.
  18. I think, and have stated after last week's game, that this is WM's last year with the Bills.
  19. I agree that it is not a top priority. But what I am saying is that there is no harm in keeping an eye out for a good rb in rounds 2-4 if a good player is not available at a need position. Stats maybe on WM's side and perhaps he has done well in the past purely on talent (I didn't see him play in the past seasons). My gripe is against his seeming lack of effort and his penchant for taking GAMES off. Consider how many complaints we have had against him - he doesn't hit the hole hard enough, he is not good at blitz pick-ups, he dances too much, doesn't have that burst.....
  20. I am officially on the side of looking out for a WM replacement. I am not biased towards running styles. I am advocating finding someone different because WM is not consistent. He seems to play well when he has competition breathing down his neck. Yes sure, competition makes everyone better but I want someone who is self motivated and gives it his all. WM looks great in a couple of games and absolutely disappears in others. I want to know that when (not if) we make out superbowl appearance, we have a back who will fight for yardage till the last whistle is blown - with NO excuses. Now that I have seen all games this season, I am not sure WM is that back.
  21. I choose to disagree. The point of having different types of players who are good at their position is to keep the opposing D off balance. Right now, in a tough situation, the opponent pretty much knows that JP will be looking for Evans as he is the only one consistently making clutch catches. PP and Royal make them occasionally so the opponents gamble which has been working well so far. We really have one real threat - Evans and maybe JP with the two scrambles for first down yesterday. How difficult is it to defend against these limited options ? Evans has done very well considering the attention he receives and I am confident he will shine even more when we have a good #2 WR and a semblance of a running game (WM just doesn't seem to have a will to play - I believe he will not be a Bill next year).
  22. He was double covered a lot. If we had another receiver who could consistently come open, it would give us more options in the passing game. Lee can be the deep and intermediate threat whereas this other can be a possession receiver.
  23. Thanx for the vote of confidence.
  24. Not sure it is very unfair. I have watched at least 2 games of the Giants (one earlier int he beginning of the season and one last weekend) and I seriously doubt his arm strength and accuracy. I said the same about Grossman towards the beginning of the season and was laughed off especially by people in my office. I do agree with your second para. I think JP is doing a lot more with a lot less than Eli has around him. As a side note, wasn't it in the off-season that Eli took some informal coaching from someone outside the Giants organization and that pissed his coaches off ? These things catch up with you....
