  1. As someone who thought Bledsoe should have stuck, I must say this does not surprise me. JP never showed, at any time, that he was prepared to step onto an NFL field. I feel a little sorry for the kid. The unrealistic amping up of his Hall of Fame stature by fans, many of whom post on this board, was the kiss of death. This franchise appears to be in shambles.
  2. True dat. Actually I think Holcomb earned another start with a damn good showing against the World Champions in their own house. Please someone tell me which quarterback would hold onto that ball after being hit by a freight train from the blind side? This is the AFC Least and the playoffs are assured for no one yet. And no one will be counted out until at least week 13 or 14. Try to win it. Holcomb gives us the best chance. JP is learning plenty from the sidelines and his happy feet aren't what this team and this o line needs right now.
  3. What does it matter who the QB is? As long as it's Anybody but Bledsoe. Remember guys? Anybody but Bledsoe will take us deep into the playoffs and probably the Super Bowl. JP Losman is all this team needs. Remember guys? Bledsoe was responsible for last years 7 losses and the team won 9 games despite him. Remember guys? Rico, Mile High, Labatt, Mead107, LABills and this list goes on and on. Guys who were full of hate for Bledsoe and were sure Losman (or Stojan's grandmother) would assure the playoffs. Bledsoe gaffed on one play this past weekend but his numbers are far loftier than Losman's and the rest. Including a 4-3 team record and a real shot at the playoffs. We should have kept him. There is no longer any doubt.
  4. No disrespect meant here, but the "he needs playing time" stuff is misguided. He looks confused, afraid and has shown no real QB skills of any kind other than running for a few meaningless yards when he gets nervous. He needs to learn from what's going on the field in front of him FROM THE SIDELINES. Listen to the coaches as they talk to Holcomb, see what Holcomb tries and succeeds and /or fails at. Study film, and learn a little humility. Understand that this is the N F L not Southern Methodist or Southeast Louisianna you're palying against. Stay in the goddamned pocket and give your o line some consistency so they know WHERE they should block their assignments to on every play. THEY'll get better knowing this. (Losman is actually stunting the growth of the o line in my opinion..but boy its exciting to have a mobile freakin' QB!!!) And then pray. Because you're playing on a team that has a coaching staff and ownership that makes moves like its a Madden game..and that won't work.
  5. Sending Bledsoe packing was an easy hot pockets solution. Tons of knuckleheads were in here calling for it like an angry mob in a Frankenstein movie (don't worry the illlusion is not lost on me). Greatest D, Greatest ST, Hall of Fame new WR, Hall of Fame new RB. Bledsoe was bringing us down. B f'n S. Can you see it now? Can you finally freakin' see it? It wasn't Bledsoe. But Bledsoe made it easy for the coaching staff, the inept GM and a fan base that barely knows what a 4-3 defense is, to point to one guy. That way you don't have to do your homework and see the weaknesses in an offensive line, the lucky bounces that the ST got, the defense that gave up more 1st downs on 4th than anybody. The o line that had more penalties than 30 other teams in the league. A wide receiver corps and TE that were, and are, vastly overrated. Now you've got more season ticket holders dropping like flies and advertisers going south and it scares the sheit out of the Bills brass. Time for another blame the QB trick. Don't get me wrong, I didn't and still don't think jp can be an NFL quarterback, but it's too late. Most of you got your wish and took a wet behind the ears kid and threw him to the wolves with no apprenticing. Surprise, he sucks!! And the big 3 jp lovers/Bledsoe haters have finally shut up. F'n justice.
  6. I would submit that this description applies more to JP Losman.
  7. When you're up against the chief Drew haters and their team of sicko-phants don't expect reasonable responses. Expect a litany of one up insults and self congratulatory drivel. Drew can win it all this year and JP can tank, but in the end he " wasn't the answer". It's frankly laughable.
  8. Natural reaction. Those who were merciless in their attacks on Bledsoe last year and predicted that we only needed to change the QB to Losman to win it all this year are naturally going to be Losman apologists. I know, I was a Bledsoe apologist. I wish he was still here. But he's not and JP needs to be cut a break here. We don't know if he is RJ or Kelly yet and we won't for awhile. QBs should never be saddled with all the blame or the glory in any one game. Its always a team effort. Over the course of a few games its fair to say one quarterback or another would be better or worse for a team. Frankly blaming a QB is what the casual fan does. Knowing that other players, coaches, game situations, refs, weather and so on impact games is what knowledgeable fans pick up on. I don't love Losman, but he gets a mulligan from me here. We'll know more in a few weeks.
  9. I want to hear what BGIM has to say first. Then I'm betting the house!
  10. You guys really get your kicks predicting Bledsoe's demise. What'll it be during his bye week? "I bet he fumbles a cantelope in his kitchen." "I hear he can't get out of the way of his dog when the Purina is set down." " Drew's wife was heard saying "Quit patting the damn meatloaf and pass it around the table" " "Drew locks on to the landscaper and won't give the mailman the time of day" Feeble of course. I know you guys can do better.
  11. Lord knows we wouldn't want any dissenters in here. I just get a kick out of the ex-girlfriend syndrome. She's riding around town with a new guy and that makes her a whore. Bledsoe, no credit when he was here, and no credit when he displays Offensive Player of the Week numbers. It tends to test the credulity of the haters' club. But rock on, it's filling some kind psycho-social void for folks and that can't be all bad.
  12. Yeah, well...don't forget..umm..Bledsoe had nothing to do with it... yeah...nothing...he sucks!! remember the mantra.. Bledsoe is responsible for the losses, and the TEAM is responsible for the wins. Yeah, that's it! He sucks! He got lucky with the 3 TD passes and the 143 QB rating. He'll show you how he sucks real soon, yeah real soon!! He sucks.
  13. I love this little piece of BS that has grown to such legend around here. He passed for 4300 yards! He didn't do it all in the first half. Yeah the records reversed but he ended up 8-8, 5 games better than the 3-13 team he came to. And Price, Riemersma, Larry Centers gone the next year and Moulds out 4, Travis out 4(and Moulds returning with no interest in running at above 40% capacity) all Bledsoe's fault. People are too damn lazy to look beyond the frikkin' QB position for answers and blame. Blame the QB. I pity poor Losman. He doesn't have a clue what it's going to be like when the Anybody But Bledsoe crowd wakes up .
  14. Weapons? McGahee for 11 games. Josh Reed? Huh? A hobbled Moulds. Lee Evans limited action. 3rd and 4th string tight ends for the last four games? An offense that had the 2nd most penalties in the NFL? Give me an f'n break. Yes the D and ST were very good. The offensive weapons? Available for only parts of the season. Losman gets McGahee and Evans starting out and the 1st string TE back. With this fabulous Special Teams and NFL near best defense Losman better win at least 10 games or he's a horrible flop. The anybody-but-Bledsoe crowd guaranteed it all off season...let's see what happens.
  15. Bledsoe's not as bad as you think. Bledsoe's not as bad as you think. Bledsoe's not as bad as you.......Meep Meep Blorp
  16. This declaration might be a tad bit premature. But then I don't like kool-aid, so what do I know?
  17. I caught the "Iraqization" line too. Listen to Kennedy, Pelosi, Harkin and so on and you get the Democrats plan for the next 3 years. Iraq as Vietnam. No matter how far fetched (the numbers are off to the tune of 50 -1, no Communism fear, etc) the parallel is the new Democrat mantra. It is absolutely remarkable what one political party is willing to lie about, exaggerate about or spin to eviscerate the other party in power. And both parties do it. There is simply too much money controlled by politicians in our country. It is at the root of all the dissention between the parties. It's not at all about the dead soldiers and the freedom they fought and died for. It's who will retain or capture the political power and therefore the money, the very, very big money.
  18. Apparently Gavin is paying attention and you're not. I don't recall planning a Washington trip. It is your solution we have been seeking here. I've proposed continuing with the current approach. The joke is on you, genius.
  19. You didn't do well on the Miller analogies did you? One doesn't mop their backyard..i.e. useless metaphor. More jabs, no solutions. You've made a Madison Avenue name for yourself.
