It can be any round, any player, any position, addressing a team need, or just a player you would love to see in the red, midnight blue, white, royal blue, buffalo nickle?? This is the one player that you will jump out of your seat if the Bills select somehow, so all of you Nuge fans have another chance to sound off. For me, its Carlos Rogers (Cornerback, Auburn), Would love to see him in our secondary with a six year contract. The guy can tackle, he has decent speed, good hands, in my opinion the most likely of the first round corners to have a ten year career in the NFL at the corner position.

Turns out THIS was the draft to be dealing in
brihs2005 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe the Bills missed the boat a bit without making any moves, but there is of course, still plenty of time to wheel and deal. I do wonder what the coaches are thinking though. Do they think we are that close to be a super bowl contender? Is the draft mainly for depth and not looking to land someone who can come in and contribute right away? When they did individual evaluations of each player, was Drew the reason they lost the majority of games? Do they feel that addition by subtraction of DB will get them to the next level? I just hope the Bills Brass knows what they are doing (and i like to think they do). -
Hey Clump, although several posts have been started thanking you for this tremendous information that you offer us, i wanted to add my thanks to the list. I also had a question for you. Being newer to the board than most, when is it you begin to start looking at next years salary cap info? This may be helpful at squashing most rumors about NC, or maybe providing insight on what the team may be doing next season, or even this season. Have you started looking at next year or do you wait far into our upcoming season before worrying about it. Just curious. Again, thanks for all the effort you put into your page.

Say We Do Trade Clements for #9 or #25
brihs2005 replied to SouthTownBills51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have stated many times on this board that i would love to see Baker get a chance to play FS full time. I think he is a stud in the making. Right now TV is the better FS, but every down he plays there stunts the growth of Baker. We will have to see what happens, but i would not mind seeing TV at corner, and RB at safety sometime this season. -
What i love so much about this trade is that it doesn't make TD's trade from last year look half bad at all. We traded a 1,2,5 for JP. They are going to trade a 1,3,4 for Campbell (if you beleive the hype). They did this in a weaker (not completely weak) first round and for a QB that doesn't have all the skills that i feel JP has. That being said, Campbell is a winner and i like winners so good luck to him if he falls to the skins, maybe he can get that team above .500 sometime before 2010.

I went back yesterday and watched the videos on BB.com from the draft last year. One quote from both Modrak and TD stood out to me. I paraphrase "If there is a player that we covet in the draft, no matter where we are, we will do everything in our power to get that player." Stay tuned....

Do you trust anything out of TD's mouth after the draft? I sure as heck don't. In fact, i love the man, but i can't trust a single word he says 365 days a year. Stupid, Lousy, Never telling the truth... JERK! I am going to go call my girlfriends and eat some haagen dazs.

I would say confidence is key... but not JP confidence... more like Willis McGahee confidence. You wouldn't have been asked to meet with the CEO if you didn't have some game, so know that you got some good stuff working for you, but be humble about it. Just don't do the Willis Leap onto his desk if he offers you the job on the spot. A firm handshake should suffice. Good Luck!

Clements for a #9? Take it TD!!!!!!!!
brihs2005 replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two summers ago i was at a pick up basketball game with a few friends where a lot of the Bills were playing. Fletcher, Moulds, Clements, and several others were there (a lot of players that were borderline Bills, Brady McDonald, etc.) He certainly seemed part of the clique back then, although he seemed to be the guy that everyone made fun of but was still friendly with. Nate is my favorite Bill, but he surprised me at how much of a wuss he was on the court. He would call every touch foul to the point where the guys that were waiting for the next game were rolling on the floor laughing (Moulds included). Not sure if that answers your question or not, but it was a fun Bills experience to share anyway. BTW my team consisted of McDonald, Kevin Thomas, myself and two friends from my high school team, we got ran 11-2 off of the court. There was no stopping fletcher once he got the ball at the top of the key. -
Apr. 18 - The Buccaneers continue to talk to the Bills about running back Travis Henry, but they have competition. The Eagles are definitely a player in these trade talks and could take the lead if they wish, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton. Philly has enough draft choice clout to top the player-for-player options presented by the Bucs and Cardinals. Arizona is offering left tackle L.J. Shelton. The Bills want draft choices to be involved in any trade, and may favor something from the Eagles. ______________________________________ All sounds good to me at the moment.

Coach, you got a personal vendetta against me or something? I was implying to a previous post that if clements was gone the best CB on our team would not be McGee, it would be Vincent. Ummm, get your monkey off my back. -
Isn't Ralphie's wife in the top ten of female tennis players over the age of 50 in the world? Ralphie's wife could beat WM in tennis, unless of course they were volleying at the net and he gave her a little stiff arm...

Got a linky-dinky where it says they are working on a contract or just an assumption based on some of the articles the past week? -
Kevin Thompson - Bills QB in NFL Europe
brihs2005 replied to BillsFaninNC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was looking at the stats of all the Bills allocated to NFLEurope and i wasn't impressed with the "numbers" i do like the wins for thompson though. I will take a winner any day of the week over someone who has great numbers. (but his completion percentage = RJ) -
NFL Draft busts of the modern era
brihs2005 replied to Dennis in NC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be surprised to see a few teams pass this year in all honesty... I think a lot of teams have put more effort into this draft and knowing what all other teams may do because there is so much uncertainty. -

They are ignorant... that is why they are skins fans. In the true mold of Daniel Snyder... Ignorance. (No offense to any skins fans reading this or to your friend Justman --- yes everyone, i am a big wuss) -

I agree i don't love the idea with the current depth we have. But it is less crazy then McGee being our #1 Corner. I just hope saturday is an exciting day to be a bills fan instead of a long drawn out day to get out two players. -

Ummm Troy Vincent is our best CB on the team. I think TV being our #1 Corner and McGee being #2 with Baker at FS is a better lineup than TV at FS and McGee being the #1 Corner, and Greer as the #2. -
dont look for the bills to move up in the 1st
brihs2005 replied to billsburgh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While i think this article is certainly posturing i have some evidence that can be used one way or the other to support the fact that we either will be or won't be moving up in the draft this year. On the Bills' homepage they have the round numbers for each of their picks on the top of the page. They do have round 1 up there but say they selected JP Losman (so they are considering him our pick from last year). This could be for two reasons. 1) to quell fans' reactions when we don't go into the first round and to remind them that we really did use our first pick last year. 2) to save both graphics people, and code writers times when they simply remove the little JP slogan and insert whoever we pick with the first rounder we traded to get. Conspiracy theorists of the world unite! -
I know everyone is on this Ron Mexico kick and i know he receives a lot of press, but i disagree with this post here. Yes, the NFL is using him as a marketing tool, and they should be. He is able to make plays that no one else in the league can make currently. And the fact he is a quarterback gives him more touches of the ball to do something exciting with it. His highlights over the past few years with his feet rival any other highlights in that same time span. I enjoy watching him play. If he had an elite arm with accuracy he would be an unstoppable QB. I think it is hard to not respect his talent and his ability to make plays from the QB position. Can you blame the NFL for marketing him? Would you blame the NFL for marketing Manning or any of its other elite players? Vick appeals to a different target marget than Manning and that is good for the league. The NFL is the best run, best marketed and most competitive league of the major sports. If i have to see commercials of Vick everyday in order to sell more tickets and merchandise to games, allowing the salary cap to increase for all teams allowing greater competition across the league, i am more than willing to do it.

My favorite has always been "Rip Torn"

ESPN Front Page Probably these will be shown on draft preview shows but fun to get a look at, esspecially as we are all discussing that TD may jump into the first round somehow.

MMM! Gail Fischer has my heart. When i was working at the NCAA tourney this year, she knew she was the only female in the media room and made sure she exploited every curve and crevice. Ohh Gail, where have you been all my life?
