Let me first say this, I am a big Drew fan. Not because he was the Bills' QB, but because i like him as a person and as an athlete (a very immobile athlete). It really is just hard not to like the guy in my opinion. Be that as it may, i was told from an inside source (a person who would have knowledge of such things) that DB didn't really put in the time and effort that his words to the media made it sound like he did. He said his command in the huddle was one thing, but the leading by example off of the practice field left something to be desired. He didn't say it was bad, it just seemed Drew never went that extra mile. Hopefully the PR department of the Bills hasn't overhyped JP's dedication, because i would sure love to see this team fight for him.

Whether it was true or not, i was always under the impression that Levy didn't want rookies to contribute as much because it usually meant their contract demands would be inflated even more so than if they just had a solid year or two before their contract expired. I remember Moulds wasn't a large part of the offense his first year, and i specifically remember Antowain Smith be given less carries in the final few games to ensure he didn't reach the 1000 mark milestone. It sounds ridiculous but it is possible... either that or he just didn't trust his rookies at all.

I can see him storming down the field on kickoff coverage and drop kicking the return man. This guy is Mean!

Pats, Jets, Bengals, Steelers, Ravens, Colts, Jags, Raiders, Chargers, Bills, Broncos, Kansas City are the 12 teams that will be fighting it out for the 6 playoff spots in the AFC. The Bills may finish 10-6 and still miss the playoffs, the AFC is MUCH better than it was last year on a team by team basis. SCARY!!!

I barely remember what happened that game... If anyone can refresh me what happened after Reed got thrown out i would be interested. I remember we were inside the 5 or 10... Dre bumped the ref as he was standing up, got tossed, and we got penalized 15 yards. How much were we down, how much time was left on the clock, etc.? Thanks

Great Post... Makes a lot of sense and they are thoughts that i have been having as well. My only comment would be that i don't think Parrish could step in and fill the void when Moulds retires. I know that he will be the #2 and Evans the #1, but then we just have two smallish receivers. I wouldn't put it past us to draft another receiver next year with some height and bulk to be the #2 while parrish remains as the #3 in the slot. I think that will be his spot to remain for his tenure as a Buffalo Bill.
