  1. Hate to say it, but i like the Colts and their roster with Edge on the team. I know there defense is terrible, but we will be in contention every year. Could you imagine on the cold winter days at the Ralph getting on your feet 6 or 7 (including field goals) times to sing the shout song. It would be exciting to watch them put up points.
  2. I told myself i would never make an OT post, but couldn't resist. PodBrix The guy only made 300 at $16.99 a pop. They are now on eBay selling in the $100-$150 range. Too cool in my book.
  3. Pat Kirwan - March 4, 2005 Signings usually give us a hint as to where a club is headed. The 49ers signed Buffalo offensive tackle Jonas Jennings, arguably the only quality left tackle in free agency. Jennings is only 6-foot-3 and has 34-inch arms, which makes him one of the smallest left tackles in the league. The Bills passed on paying him, so the trade of RB Travis Henry for Arizona OT L.J. Shelton looks like it went from a possibility to a probability. I tend to trust Lenny P more so than anyone else when it comes to inside info, but WTF, can we get a consensus opinion from NFL sources about this deal.
  4. Hey Clump - I know you don't have access to the fine print in most contracts, but do you know how the pro-bowl escalators work? Is it if they are invited to play in the game, or is it if they are named as an alternate? Conspiracy Theorists of the World Unite because i think Surtain backed out of the pro-bowl just to screw the Bills out of 2 Million in cap room.
  5. Use the boost Rich! Use the Boost!!!!
  6. Ok, i am never playing this thing again. Still have no idea what i did and i got a 5719.43m. Have a screen shot to prove it. Wow what a wacko game.
  7. Wow! 1449.58m I have no idea what the hell i did. Strange game but fun.
  8. Oh i hear ya, my original post is not something i think the bills should do. Just options they have presently. I like to think i am pretty savvy about the goings on and the players in the NFL, but it is not my career and at times like this i am glad i am not a GM for a professional team. It is an option that is out there, cut ties, trade the guy, figure something out but he is not living up to expectations, and if he continues not to, he may not have a career in this league after his first contract expires. So why would he care to restructure? Personally, i hope he reduces his salary a bit, plays at a pro-bowl level for the remainder of his contract and then problem solved.
  9. We have all been saying for a while that MW needs to restructure his contract because his cap number is off-the-wall in comparison to what his actual worth has been? My question to you all that either think he should or shouldn't is... "Why would he?" Yes, he hasn't lived up to the money he is making. Yes, he is grabbing TD by the balls with that number. But why on earth would a young tackle, who seems to be very fragile emotionally, take a pay cut from 9 million to anything less? To help his team -- maybe, but other than being a funny man off the field does he have any attachment to the area, or the team that would prompt a restructuring of his contract (i.e. Moulds). Is there a chance the big man gets cut this year? We take the cap hit and move on while TD hopes his other draft picks out perform his biggest mistake in my opinion? Or do we wait and see if it finally clicks for MW and he goes out and earns every penny of that 9 mil by having a pro-bowl type year? Thoughts...
  10. Not bad... Although one of my favorites is Alec Baldwin's monologue in GlenGarry GlenRoss.
  11. Sadly, i think they can. I am sure there is precedence of such a case but don't have time to look it up currently. As for the bathroom, i have to ask if the administration is all female. If so, hook a mini fridge up and throw a six pack of Labatt in there. Only one an hour though, not cool to teach drunk. Have had a few professor's like that in my day and there is nothing like learning advanced calc from a man that is still drunk from the night before and looks like he slept in his car. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: bastard gave me a D +
  12. Interesting read (sort of), but can the guy play? is he, as jp-era said, another leif larson, or is the guy just a specimen that is raw after the shift from DL to OL?
  13. Just saw this kid's combine #'s. Looks like he had a monster workout. Does anyone have any info about the guy (observations, projected round, etc.). Prospect, School Ht. Wt. Arm Hand Bench 40 Scott Young, BYU 6035 312 34.3 9.2 43 4.93
  14. JP-era ---------- A move like somehow trading up into the middle of the first round to pick up the top tackle in the draft. The kid from FSU, Bryant i believe it is? Was thinking about it last night, while it seems like a pipe dream, i would be shocked if someone told me that this has not been discussed on any level at OBD, even if it just two janitors mumbling about.
  15. Is it possible TD is holding out to sign GB's Rivera? If so, i would like the move. He is old, yes, but i think we are poised to contend this year and next with this team (assuming JP is the real deal). Then we will have a ton of FA's in 2006 so our 2006 roster make look completely different. Anyway, we sign Rivera to a two year contract at a reasonable number. We draft a Guard that will be given the starting spot after being on the roster for two years. I think this move, or other moves similar (get a temporary fix, draft the replacement) is what TD may be looking at doing this year in the Free Agent Market. Thoughts?
  16. Call me foolish but i had a great night at Casino Niagara a few months ago and used the winnings to buy a PC (i am a mac guy) in order to play the game. It is worth upgrading for.
  17. Where did you read that? When i installed it i don't remember it being that big. It comes on only 3 CD's which i think can hold a maximum of 2.4 Gigs if fully used. Besides, the game is incredible and worth the space it takes up, the price of the game, the time you spend playing it and then some.
  18. I don't think its time to freak out at all. Get this, from the middle of our line to the right side we are pretty dang good. Teague, CV, MW. Heck all we need to do is run right every running play, and roll right every passing play and we should be in good shape. While we are at it, since we won't be using the left side of the field at all, we might as well just put more seats on the away side of the Ralph. Probably can put another few sections all the way to the current out of bounds line.
  19. Remember, it is you that is being attacked, it may be appropriate to put on guard mode when initial contact is made.
  20. I hear ya, but a few corrections, he played RT in college, and was dominant there, that is why no shift was made. Also i think you meant 4th pick in the draft. Also not sure if this has been posted, but a good article on how difficult it is to mix up an o-line. http://2005.otcdraft.com/content/article/E...Mike%20Williams
  21. The bastard better! We are all staying up tonight to see who he signs. I don't care if it my great grandmother, he better have somebody's bloody name on a contract by 1am this morning.
  22. I really like him as our President and GM. I don't think he has made a single move that he didn't honestly think would make our team better (excluding when he was forced to change over the roster five years ago for cap reasons). I think he has a plan for us this offseason, but for the life of me i can't figure it out. He usually keeps things close to his chest and doesn't let the media know about his targeted free agents - i think we were all shocked with Posey being signed at 1am two years ago. Strangely, my confidence with him has fallen over the past few hours. I thought more moves would be made today. I thought we would release Izell or Peirson, restructure MW, re-sign Marcus Price, re-sign PW, extend Clements or just something to let us know that the braintrust at OBD is alive and kicking. The lack of communication with JJ and PW on re-signing them baffles me as well. That tells me that he has another direction that he wanted to go, and that he has had that direction since Jan 3rd, if not earlier (hence not resigning them last offseason) but what could this new direction be? I don't think any of us have an idea. Over the past few off-seasons, several of our moves have been predictable. TKO was on our minds three months before free agency began, TV was our target last off-season and everyone knew we were in the hunt for him. I even called a buddy the day Milloy was released by the Pats saying that we had plenty of room under the cap and a need for him and it was obvious TD would make a run for him (i didn't belong to TSW back then, i am sure you all were saying the same sorts of things). My point is, there seemed to be a direction we were headed that was common sense to the entire Bills nation. I see no direction this year. In fact i feel blinded and deaf. I want information, but no information is coming. Am i being overly nervous by thinking that TD is taking a vacation this off-season? Will my fears be quelled in three hours when i click on espn.com to see we have our first free-agent signee? Are others concerned about the silence this off-season so far?
  23. Demulling of the Colts. Young solid Guard that can solidify that position for us. Smoot from the Skins. An interesting possibility depending on his asking price. I have never felt that Smoot was a selfish player or person. He has matured over his career and still has lots of game. I really like him and would love to see him in a Bills uniform. I doubt, even if he is reasonable, his price range will be what the Bills could afford but i still like the idea. Further, if TD thinks that resigning Clements next year is unlikely, i would like to see him make a run at Smoot. Just thoughts, both are unlikely and just wanted to hear your opinions of these two players.
  24. Labatt- Who did you contact over there? Most SID's cover two sports if not more and its hard for them to handle that with games almost every day. As well, with baskeball conference tourney's coming up their days get even more and more hectic. I know you are craving the tape (as well i would like to somehow get a copy from you if possible down the road) but patience may be your best bet. SID's have little time especially when they aren't at a major school where each SID can have their own sport.
  25. I think this entire quote is being blown out of proportion. Think about it in the following hypothetical. Would it have been a knock on the steelers if TD said the same quote when the media and fans were shouting that Losman should be starting midway through the season (hypothetically saying he was healthy). I think Gruden meant, "Just because another team is going with a second year QB doesn't mean we have to follow suit." I would imagine the climate down in Tampa is that they want Simms to be on the field. I don't think it was a slam against the Bills, the staff, Losman, or anything. Just him saying that we are not going to do what any other team does just because people outside our team are calling for that to happen. Just my 2 cents.
