  1. Second residence in Utah, huh? Rich girl in da houssssssseeeee.....
  2. Government steamroller flips an admitted liar and criminal, has unlimited resources and no downside whatsoever, and tosses the defendant in solitary confinement to get him to crack. Defense does nothing but counter the attacks. This case should have been returned with a guilty verdict in an hour, allowing 8 minutes to/from the jury room, 4 minutes for a bathroom break, 1 minute for the vote, and 47 minutes so it looked like they were deliberating. The government at it's worst is no better than the mafia at its best.
  3. i sincerely appreciate you hiding your prodigious intellect behind a veil of pretzel logic, questions that reveal an admirable dearth of understanding about the workings of the Supreme Court and the confirmation process, and a stunning display of hypocrisy that you are very comfortable acknowledging. My weak mind tells me Brett Kavanaugh gets confirmed, that your President rolls on, that you keep chasing smoke and showing your friends how much you have in your pocket, and that there is no recusal to be had. Not now, not later, not never. I guess we'll see.
  4. Your first question is absurd on many levels, but you know that. Any case that makes its way to the Supreme Court is decided by those confirmed to sit on the court. Your second question doubles down on stupid. Frame a question that would be posed to him that has a reasonable likelihood of being replied to by any nominee (not just the ones you don't like) and I'll gladly tell you what i think. I have no idea what your 3rd paragraph implies based on your prior arguments. You don't want a justice to give someone in a position of power a break, provided a link to a justice following that standard, but actually want a justice to use different standards for Republicans and Democrats? Base on what you said, Kavanaugh should be your guy. He didn't bow to special interests and or those in power. You're the Jan Brady of liberal politics. Too many voices telling you too many things to be upset about.
  5. It must be difficult to balance your outrage with your moral compass set to "it varies". You have a guy you didn't like because of your expectation on how he would rule in an action not before the court and unlikely to ever be there, then you found some Intel from 1998 which would indicate he would decide the case in a way consistent with your political views, but now you want to hear him say he would recuse himself from a future case should it ever be before him because you think it was all an elaborate plan to throw you off the trail and keep 45 out of trouble? That's awesome. What a world you live in. My prediction...he tells the ruling political class that will try such shenanigans to f off, but will do so in the nicest of ways.
  6. So, as a person of integrity, if his opinion matched yours 20 years ago, but changed to a new opinion in the 20 years since, you would be happy with him being on the Supreme Court, but only if he recuses himself from deciding issues he's nominated for to begin with because you don't like the new opinion?
  7. So as a person of integrity you're on board with this choice for SC. . It would reflect support for the type of probe overseen by Herr Special Counsel Mueller.
  8. Sideshow Don took on 10+ Republican Candidates, the heiress to The Democrat part, the Washington establishment, the Washington beaurocracy, foreign intelligence operatives, the weaponizatiom of intelligence by the departing prez and his admin, a Special counsel, the head of the FBI, the entire DOJ, the Media and its multi-level marketing platform and is still standing in spite of lies, innuendo, half-truths and in his case (this is the funny part) ACTUAL full truths that would make a sailor blush and President Trump just keeps chugging along. He has singlehandedly changed the political landscape with bluster, tenacity and twitter. The story is incredible when rational people stop to consider it. Jesus man, he just snapped the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency in the nuts with a towel in the most public way possible, revealing along the way the incredibly lucrative currency that high level security clearance represents once the old dogs are put to pasture. He's a Crazy Eyed Killa. By comparison, Avenetti is the day manager of the local topless joint. Yeah, he's got some stories to tell, yeah, he knows some people who know some people, but at the end of the day, and while he sees himself as a big fish in a big pond, his most important job is mopping the sticky spots before night crowd comes in.
  9. I read the article. This is the sort of article, published by the "free press", that convinces me that while not necessarily an "enemy of the people" the press is often the enemy of accuracy. The number of details missing in this article is stunning. Or, predictable. "Legit swag" should be his campaign slogan.
  10. well, in no particular order: ...no one mentioned is the former director of the CIA; ...no one mentioned had access to information of vital interest to our national security; ...no one else mentioned carries the weight of the burden of responsibility of knowledge about whom/what/where/why/and how we operate as a nation, who lives and who dies as a result; ...no one else mentioned had so thoroughly abdicated said responsibility as it relates to the politicization of his role CIA director emeritus; ...no one else mentions is retired and hanging around the office other that that, brennan = fox = msnbc = trump = baskin
  11. i don't agree with much (anything?) you say, but your point on uneducated v. dum-dumbedness is fair.
  12. I'm as concerned about the public school system and the systemic abuse we see there. And, on the FBI, hogwash. j edgar has been gone since 1972, but j. edgars comey/strozk et al have only been gone for 20 minutes or so. when will the reform come?
  13. My favorite part of all this has been watching liberals bend over backwards to talk up the CIA, the FBI and the military industrial complex.. It's awesome.
  14. Agreed. Between Astro's commentary on the disciplined approach to Training Camp, to the generally held belief that he runs a tight ship, to the show it might, he seems to quite a leader. Great show.
  15. Everyone has an opinion my man, and your seems to be "everything is fair game unless it's happening to my people". Interestingly brennan seems to share your opinion. When in doubt, I go to this: If the clearance can be revoked, and the president choose to revoke it, time to move along. Brennan is a cancer, and seems an awful lot like the guy who retires but can't stay away from the office. He's all about telling you how it should be, the way things should go, and how dumb everyone is but him. The only difference is that at one point, he had the ability to ruin lives as he saw fit. Trump simply told him it was time to go home. He did him a favor. There's nothing more pathetic than an old man wandering around, muttering about the good old days when you could bust heads with impunity when the world has passed him by.
  16. Just because your enemy slides a knife through your 4th and 5th ribs while pretending to be about the greater good does not mean you should let him There is no need to run around like chicken little wondering about all the vast knowledge he might be able to provide, if needed, after he clocks out at the end of his day job. If it's that crucial, we can always kick the rock back and ask him.
  17. Trick question b/tchiz. you wouldn't have ancestors if you weren't here. It's basic hydronics. Nice try tiberius baron cohen.
  18. You're really baffled by it? Baffled?? I'm baffled that anyone could be baffled by a polarizing issue designed to be a polarizing issue.
  19. Agree 100% with the first paragraph. The owners lose any way you cut it with someone. As I said, they pledged $90m to social causes and still manage to look like the bad guys here. Under your suggestion, which seems like a very logical response to the business side of the concern, I predict outrage by those who see the NFL ownership group as stifling the right to individuals to kneel where and when they want (especially at work).
  20. And if that solved the problem for the team, what was the point of the protests? I have always thought the NFL was weak on letting this get out of hand, and figure a protest at work, in a secured area sponsored by Orange Julius in front of a captive audience was...whatever.
  21. Wasn't the league dropping $90m as part of a position that works for all? And didn't the league suggest standing when on the field, or staying off the field while the anthem was playing? Seems to me the only solution that works for the protestors is to let them do what they want, when and how they want no forbthe teams to deal with it. That puts the ownership group at odds with some of its fan base.
  22. I'd not panic until he throws 6 ints or more in the first 12 attempts. Let's give a bit of leeway here.
  23. "We" has nothing to do with it, and "we" don't decide on the validity of the return. You want the Entertainement Tonight review, you want the ladies from The View to opine. That means nothing. Trump said "no" as is his right.
  24. So, you have no additional information to share on the tax returns, and concur that the IRS and state agencies are the ultimate arbiters of right/wrong? Splendid!
  25. No need to attempt to make it personal, it reflects poorly on you as an individual. It makes you appear weak. You may actually be weak, but I have found that most people have an inner strength to draw upon when the chips are down. If the chips are down in your life, I urge you to reach out for support. As the chips are not down here (at least for me) your lashing out on this message board displays an unfortunate blemish in your character. Only God can judge you, but He gave me the right to an opinion. I asked a question that is as basic as it is fair. If the IRS accepts the tax return, tax paid or due to the tax payer, has the tax return not been released? Is there a special post-IRS ruling body that adjudicates any remaining questions? Besides, of course, the court of public opinion where that issue has already been decided. Please enlighten me. I don't know anything about Trump University other than what I read online. Last I can recall, NYS AG Eric Schneiderman was announcing a settlement to protect all NYers from TU. Then, the news came out that NYS AG Eric Schneiderman liked to slap around and verbally assult the women in his life, so I lost my trust in him. I felt like NY AG Eric Schneiderman wanted to appear strong in public by lashing out, but ultimately revealed himself to be very weak. Why are you such a fan of Eric Scneiderman? He's despicable.
