  1. How so? Who has he berated for choosing to wear a mask, who has he threatened within or outside the scope of his control? Surely in today’s world this brave whistleblower would have recorded him dozens of times. Fits the character assassination model of politicians and media activists.
  2. The story makes no sense as usual. So the staffer and interns are there everyday, risking their lives for God’s sake, but never a leak to the press? It’s only when Gomert tests positive and tries to hide it from his staff? All the hallmarks of yet another bs story.
  3. Sadly, this seems spot on. I had hopes for something different this time.
  4. OMG Change the digits and that's what Biden did! Well done sir!
  5. Ah, when your victimization manifesto turned to something about staying at home I assumed you meant you stayed at home. Honestly it's hard to follow all the emotional ebbs and flows of a Transplant post when you go all Norma Rae. Fight the system...vote for Joe?
  6. I was treading carefully. I started with womanly wiles, but for whatever I felt that crossed a line. I definitely was not thinking in the Sergeant Slaughter mode as pictured above.
  7. Classic Heidegger! Dude was buck wile!
  8. Seriously... where the $#@ are these masks everyone talks about?
  9. You were confused about the election process in 2016? Who is it that fooled you? Me? DR? Did @Buffalo_Gal use her feminine guile to convince you to stay home that November? By then, you surely knew about Trump's bombshell secret recording where he suggested that some women are attracted to men with wealth and power, you surely knew he was not releasing his tax returns, you surely knew how he felt about building a wall along the southern border and illegal immigration in general, how he felt about excessive taxation and repatriating billions by reducing the capital gains tax, and how he felt unemployment was far too high given the potential of the American economy. Heck, you even bought into the Trump is a Russian plant narrative by then, so you sat out the election because someone tricked you? This is gibberish, and you should stop blaming people for things that you do not go your way in life. The way I see it, it seems like you could not be bothered to muster the energy to cast a vote. It's interesting to me that after DJT kickstarted the economy, when unemployment for people of color and Americans in general had dropped to historic low rates, when the rising tide of a unleashed economy began to lift all boats....suddenly, you're interested in elections again. It's almost like...you prefer the old ways. Now...the arbiter of who is REALLY black is the heir apparent. Suddenly...the guy who has stolen second base more often than Mookie Williams is THE guy you want leading the country. Suddenly...the guy on tape bragging about intervening in the the affairs of Ukraine by threatening to withhold a $1b taxpayer dollars to protect his crack-headed son is just THE type of leader we need to guide us forward. Suddenly, the guy carrying water for China is what's best for America. I don't think everyone is a hypocrite simply because they vote for Biden. Some people are pragmatic, recognize his deficiencies and the character issues on display since he plagiarized his first speech back in the 70s. Some people are politically naive and since they follow news sources that don't report on Biden's issues, they have no idea of the true nature of his character. Some people recognize it's in their best interest to ignore the warts. What makes you politically hypocritical is your righteous indignation about all things Trump, while performing a clumsy pommel horse routine to defend your boy Joe. Whatever brings us to this point, today, here and now has nothing to do with me, Trump supporters, the RNC or anyone else*. Own that, and move on. Have a blessed day. *I will cut you some slack if @Buffalo_Galdid in fact use her womanly guile to convince you to stay at home. She's quite compelling and as a result of a thread she created, I have turned to a subsistence lifestyle and live totally off the land. In related news, there are precious few feral cats around these parts anymore.
  10. If you replaced the N in Jen with an M, it rhymes with dem. Follow the panko.
  11. Not to point out the obvious after you broke it down so well, but @ALF falls into the same category as every other voter who holds his nose and pulls the lever. I like his posts, generally, seems to be a decent guy and I can't recall him throwing hand grenades at anyone. At the same time, people wonder why establishment folks keep doing establishment things over and over. It's because they can. Rice can lie, cheat, steal, participate in an attempt to destroy a candidate in a presidential election and literally steal the vote from other Americans...but that's not enough to disqualify them to be VP. I think some people who describe themselves as centrists and think a Biden presidency will bring the country together are in for a rude awakening if Biden wins. If accusing people of treason, racism etc is a valid tactic in the playbook, and tossing around "gang rapist" for SC nominees is just another day at the office, it will get a whole lot uglier moving forward.
  12. It's like I talk and you never listen. I am not brimming with confidence at all, I rarely think anything is in the bag---a lesson learned when Scott Norwood missed a certain kick and OJ Simpson was arrested. I calculate probabilities on just about everything, sometimes to my detriment. I can absolutely see people who got their b^lls in an uproar over a vote cast for Trump--an incorrigible heathen as it were---lining up to vote for Biden. That's the part that fascinates me, and that I appreciate the opportunity to point it out. You're a couple months out from riding out on that high horse to the ballot box at Kona Town Hall, pulling the lever with confidence and a certain smugness that others can't see what you do--you're voting for the best groping, lying, racist and sexual assaulter in America--Joe Biden. Because, as you say, what choice do you have other than to vote for your personal fave abuser? Worst case scenario, I think you think, he only really assaulted one throw away Bernie babe. If Biden wins, he wins. Lots of smarticus folks like you ferverently believe Joe only needed 50 years in office and the presidency so he could stop making absurd racial comments, or coppin' a feel off a 13 year old, so he could NOT target people of color with aggressive legislation, so he could finally tell all Americans how he really feels about the million or so law enforcement citizens and how they are the enemy of the average person on the street. I think most of you are convinced Dementia Joe is a better man than Fully-witted Joe, and again, that makes me laugh. All I'm stating is the obvious--the vote you cast for Biden simply means that you're a hypocrite.
  13. What's train wrecky about this place? I see comments like that and always wonder what that means?
  14. Hey Doc—on the flip side, what would you envision a beneficial Universal pre-K to look like, and what would the curriculum include? Also, what’s your beef with funding for Charter schools?
  15. I didn’t take your response personally, but if you thought my feedback was designed to provide feedback on your teaching style, you missed the point. I really just pointed out the obvious, which is that with a captive consumer required to pay for the services a teacher provides, there is little downside to a stylistic approach that would not work in a model where the consumer had a wide variety of choices and selections. One more try: Using text from your post: ...you really don't have any business telling a teacher how he/she should run his/her classroom as long as that teacher isn't doing or saying anything outrageous if the product coming out of the classroom is smarter and more disciplined. In the public school teacher compensation model, it doesn’t really matter if “the product cooking out of the classroom is smarter and more disciplined or not.”. Whether the product is good or bad, the teacher gets paid, generally in perpetuity unless they do something very outrageous. I want to make a distinction here—this is separate and apart from a quality teacher looking to deliver exceptional value to his/her students. Those high quality teachers still benefit from protection in the compensation model, of course, but that’s drilling down to an individual level. On the other hand, in the “retail” world of unlimited consumer choice, it matters, and if you fail to provide a product or service, or tell your customer they ask dumb questions, you tend to be fired or starve to death. Honestly Transpy, I don’t even see how this is remotely controversial or how you could be offended by it. I get that you’re working diligently and developing your craft, but I never suggested it was about you. Other than... Your suggestion that telling a paying crowd they asked dumb questions was the same as telling you 100% captive crowd. It’s not. Finally, to your point about “telling a teacher how to teach”, I’ve never done that nor would I. However, as local stakeholder in cost and service provided, I have every right to opine and share my thoughts, and I do.
  16. You're a delightful distraction, Mr. Tibsington. What did could you have possibly done to earn a 6 month pull in Attica? Oh god---did it have something to do with your rather unusual Molly Ivans fetish?
  17. right. the virus bounces off sick dance grooves according to most political experts.
  18. I'm calling any media coverage of that particular wall "Momograms". Btw, the photos I saw of the mom's in the Momograms were all maskless. They must have gotten the memo that violating social distancing guidelines and linking arms while not wearing masks actually frightens the virus so that it will not be transmittable.
  19. This a not your finest hour, Transpy. Horrible take. Generally speaking, with respect to education, the customer can be defined as followed: Individuals and families compelled by law to contribute whatever amount is required. Failure to do so shall surely result in expense and ultimately, loss of property; School children required by law to attend classes in a manner and location deemed appropriate by the state/BOE; All facilities are designed and managed by the state, maintained by the state, and paid for by the customer; Generally speaking, a teacher's compensation and/or benefit package is unaffected by performance any of the foregoing, and whether or not the customer is elated, disappointed or frustrated with the partnership, and in fact, whether or not the customer actually shows up at the arranged time and place to receive services for which they paid. In short, a teacher's compensation model is unaffected by implying a customer has asked a dumb question, eye rolls, shoulder shrugs or outward frustration. In that regard, a teacher is quite privileged...and without consideration, that can lead to the conclusion that everyone else is in the same boat. In the non-privileged world, one's ability to earn a living is dependent upon successful navigation of many factors, but mostly, providing what most would consider to be an acceptable level of customer service. That typically includes not telling your customer that they have a tendency to ask dumb questions, even at the risk of failing to meet the intellectual honesty standard a teacher can strive for with impunity.
  20. Hard to say, we’ve been witness to a lot of virtual fingernail chewing from some angst-filled lefties over the life of this thread. . I’m just kidding. Of course they are worried he’ll barricade himself in the Oval Office and call in a complicit military to stay in office post-election.
  21. The hypocrisy is stunning. The crazy-eyed socialist who tosses off insults like tic tacs, representing a party that has defined people who don't support their manifesto in terms such as...criminal...racist...homophobic...xenophobic..and of course traitorous. She suggested that then Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh "doesn't deserve to pass a 7th grade health test", and the list goes on and on. Yoho says he didn't say it, there's no evidence that he said it, it's reasonable to assume she's lying.
  22. Have we covered what might happen if Trump wins and refuses to stay? What if--and hear me out because I'm just spitballing here--what if Biden wins, but never shows up? I mean, it's clear that some part of him wants to be President, but there is more than a passing chance that he thinks the White House is in Peoria.
