This is why you’re on the Hoax List. Also, you seem a bit triggered today. Here’s hoping that your afternoon is calmer and more enjoyable. -

Hoax. He’s been flirting with magic, Lysol, and bleach, misleading his donors and the public about the dangers of COVID, yelling at the leader in the presidential race, encouraging the proud boys, and race-baiting Kamala Harris. Enjoy the last few months this scumbag is in power, hoaxer. -

And, unfortunately, we’ll never know because of his myopic focus on medicinal Lysol, magic, and bleach to counteract the pandemic. Well done, Trumpers. Hoax. Worst president since at least James Buchanan. Maybe the worst president ever. -

These are the intelligent, highbrow comments that we have come to expect from you. Wow. And you thought making a comment like the one that followed this post fo yours was better than keeping your mouth shut. Well done. Hoax. -
Yeah that’s a little different from poll watching.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/07/trump-outspending-biden-on-facebook-in-states-he-won.html Pulling TV (broader spectrum) and doubling down on FB (micro targeting) is a big hint that the Trump campaign has given up on growing its tent and instead is doubling down on its core supporters. They know exactly who is getting each one of those FB ads, and the bet here is that it is R, C, Indy men, and Indy women in certain zip codes will see a lot of this guy on FB over the next couple of weeks. It’s a gamble, and it only works if they juice their turnout and suppress Democractic turnout. Get ready for an ugly couple of weeks and post-election litigation.

What a joke. I didn’t want them to forfeit. Now I do. Nonsense like this threatens not only the health of our players (imagine being a guy with a pregnant wife right now or one with small kids??), but the fortunes of our team and our Super Bowl aspirations. I don’t want the forfeit because of the “free” win. I want it so that everyone follows the rules and none of this nonsense happens again. This would p*ss me off if I was in the Bills organization.

Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football

He and I are of the same mind. The goal is to win the super bowl. Infecting our roster by playing this group of knuckleheads does not advance that purpose. -
Titans player test positive today 10/7

Just a hunch, but I bet it was a lifting issue. We saw outbreaks in college programs that ran through “the” gym. Bench probably did it for a lot of those cases - exhaling directly on the spotter. I don’t want the forfeit. I wonder if the better play is to blow up this week for the entire league and move the whole schedule back a week. But I also don’t think that our season should be risked by having to play a Titans team that seemingly had a protocol problem that has lead to a large and continuing outbreak. I wonder if a decision has been made and the NFL is just slow rolling to give us a little less time to prep for the Chiefs. Not fair to KC if we’re off on Sunday, and they travel, and we have a week to get ready for their short-week game. It gets our game in and buys time to figure out how to move “chess” pieces to make everything else work. -

I think this is kind of the point. If there was external spread, e.g., player to player or player to coach, that’s sort of the problem here. My understanding is that league protocols are designed to prevent gathering of players/staff when a facility is closed to prevent the spread. If the players/coaches gathered outside of the facility (e.g., to lift) and spread the virus through that contact, then “it” is on the Titans for failing to contain the virus (and causing significant upheaval in league operations). -

I didn’t like the idea of playing Vegas last week. The goal is to win the Super Bowl. Playing a team full of careless idiots whose decision to expose themselves may affect us does not further that goal. So maybe (hopefully) we dodged a bullet last week. I would not want to mess with playing the Titans this week. And, frankly, following the Gilmore situation, I’m beginning to wonder if the Chiefs game blows up on us. What a mess. This might be the best solution. Have to see what the TV nets say about this. It’s fair for everyone (except maybe us if we end up getting it later b/c of the Raiders or through KC next Thursday. I feel really bad for guys with small kids - didn’t Lee Smith say that Kroft’s wife is pregnant? That is an impossible situation right now. -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
SectionC3 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m taking about the recent events in the Rose Garden, not in the NFL. That event seems to have been the basis for spread within our government, and the activities there were and are similar to the activities that occurred on-field following the Chiefs-Pats game. There’s a lot about this virus that we don’t know. But we do know that it is a respiratory virus, and engaging in conversation in close proximity (like Mahomes and Gilmore did) without the benefit of a prophylactic device (such as a mask or a face shield) is not a good plan. Bottom line: ounce of prevention = pound of cure. No more unnecessary risks. I can’t dispute this. You’re right. I guess it shows that testing protocols are good practice, but not perfect practice. -

I think recent events and outbreaks have taught us that it probably isn’t. The NFL cannot let these guys socialize like this after games. It’s just a bad plan. -

Yup. Some schedule gymnastics would free up the Broncos this week. Then our game later this year against the Broncos would convert to an open date. It’s convoluted, but still feasible. -

Interesting that you use the white power hand gesture in your response. *** And, FWIW, Jefferson was a prolific writer on the issue of black inferiority. Justified racism in that way. Brilliant man, but also a racist. -

Agreed. And letting the players socialize on the field after the game is dumb. It’s unnecessary close contact that incurs needless risk. -

I’m worried about infection in our players. We either play the Broncos or we don’t play at all. But getting the Titans. Ugh. Bad. And, it increases the chances a marquee Thursday night matchup gets blown up later that week. So I highly doubt this game is getting played. -
Poll watchers can go into the voting area. It's an important job, particularly in a close city race. Poll watchers ensure that there is no politicking inside the polling location, that the poll workers aren't encouraging people to vote for a certain candidate (e.g., saying "write in this name here"), make sure voting machines work, watch for election law violations (e.g., bags of groceries with a candidate's name sitting inside the polling location), and pull turnout counts, among other things. They also pick up cross out lists from friendly poll workers and run those outside to campaign workers. It's a very important job.

I guess. Just not enough to free them. I've thought a lot about this issue lately. I don't believe that we should tear down the Washington Monument or the Jefferson Memorial, etc. But maybe it is time to tell the full story about some of our forefathers. Washington had tremendous, unique, and essential courage, and he is fairly characterized as a father, if not the father, of American democracy. But he also enslaved people. It's a strange dichotomy. -
Good point. What he actually said was worse. "15 cases soon to be zero!" "Will magically disappear!" HCQ (which he didn't even take, BTW) will solve all of our problems! So will medicinal Lysol! And medicinal bleach! So you will not honor the Rule #2 request I take it.

KC game has to be moved if that's the case. What a mess.
