  1. Florida is like Niagara Falls, but with a little less pollution, many more beaches, and an equivalent amount of crazy. Heaven help us all of this country turns into a larger version of Florida.
  2. Still gnawing on your car battery-sized block of Ivermectin after all this time. Good stuff.
  3. If you typed this sober, then you really should consider a remedial English class. Snowflake.
  4. I have no idea whether Allen is unhappy. But I doubt that he's satisfied with the talent at WR and on his line. It is . . . odd that Brown and Bease were brought back from "pasture" last year. And Allen definitely got beat up last year. Irrespective of whether Allen is happy, sad, angry, or parts in between, he is the franchise and (as I'm positive you agree), it would be wise to invest in supporting him on his side of the ball.
  5. You need a hobby.
  6. Yeah that about just it on the head. There’s parts of it that have merit. Somebody had to do something about China. Our trade deals do suck. And I get (to a very limited extent) people in flyover country complaining about foreign aid when we don’t have, for example, clean drinking water in Flint. But the victimization, jingoism, backwardness with respect to women and the environment, dog whistle racism, and wistfulness for a foreign policy of the 1930s just misses the mark. This country is rich in part because we exploit overseas labor. It’s the truth. And these dopes here who frittered away their youth drinking and smoking and indulging now pine for the days of manufacturing jobs and coal-based energy. It’s over, and they don’t get it. And those are our “victimized” MAGA republicans who whine and blame everyone but themselves for their predicaments in life.
  7. I didn’t say that I speak for middle America. But I can comfortably speak about middle America.
  8. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but Tucker is right. Trump is a plague. He has the Republicans tied up in knots, and they don’t know what to do about him. They know that this guy is maxed out and that they won’t win elections with him as their standard-bearer. They also don’t want to deal with the short-term pain of ripping off the Trump band aid and dealing with a couple of bad cycles.
  9. Comments like this are what exhausts middle America. Nancy Pelosi said something stupid, no doubt. On the other hand, there’s a lengthy, lengthy list of trash behavior by MAGA republicans over the past four years. It’s time to stop the “gotcha” nonsense. The bitter partisanship and demonization is just exhausting. Middle America has its redlines - don’t raid the Capitol and don’t be a racist jerk, for instance. But as long as we’re not crossing a red line, then enough is enough with the “Democrats are the party of Satan” and “Republicans are all deplorable” nonsense. It gets us nowhere, and just feeds the monster that is Trump and his die-hards.
  10. Whomever gets there first is going to win. It’s more likely than the republicans going there, I think. Although each major party has its own version of a civil war cooking.
  11. The economy is bad. The left is driven by the far wing of the party. America is crying out for a centrist like Bill Clinton (a contemptible human, to be sure), irrespective of party label. People are tired of rabid partisanship and want someone who is going to prioritize the problems we discuss at our kitchen table. Bottom line. And that isn’t trump. No way no how. The country isn’t going back to his BS. Pence has the stink of trump all over him. Not a centrist. No way women go for him.
  12. I don’t see moderates going back to his nonsense. Middle America wants compromise, moderation, and problem -solving. This guy ain’t it.
  13. Talking like a commie. No surprise there. A jury of his peers will decide his fate.
  14. I always believed you to be the biggest commie here, FYI. You probably have the hammer and sickle flapping in the breeze at home. All of your pro-Trump rhetoric is just a facade.
  15. Opposite effect. The base isn’t enough for him. This is bad news for establishment republicans. This might get him a primary win. But his BS isn’t winning a general unless something changes drastically with respect to the economy.
  16. It does not help him in a general, at least as of now. Maybe it doesn't help him in the primary. But he has had a polling bounce so far based on this news. I detest the guy, but it's undeniable he has extraordinary emotional intelligence. He reads people very well. And I think his desire to be cuffed and paraded speaks for itself. He knows the base is going to devour this news.
  17. Cruz clerked at the Supreme Court. He should know better. He's either talking out of his rear (likely), or has inside info as to the GJ proceedings (highly unlikely). Either way, the facts will play out and we will see what happens.
  18. Few are. I learned of TurDuckEn because of Ted Washington.
