  1. Very very different team.
  2. Sorry man, you crazy.
  3. Engage the argument people are making, not the one in your head.
  4. Give it time, he really hasn't been here that long.
  5. I said there was no way this Bills team would win a divisional game. I was wrong. I hope they can build on this and win some more in the division.
  6. Yup. Jackson is smart, Parrish is stupid, and it shows big time.
  7. Yeah, how is it that if you happen to brush Brady's knee on the way to the ground you get flagged, but trying to twist a QB's head off is just a good defensive play?
  8. Sad. I hope you realize that this is pretty sick.
  9. Did you? I saw him attempting throws that a QB needs to be willing to try, just failing because unfortunately he's a bad QB. I don't know if Edwards is incapable or just unwilling to do the same. He's definitely more physically talented than Fitzpatrick but I don't know what games the people who want him back out there have been watching.
  10. I think the strategy is to be so bad at run D that no one tries to pass against you, then you can point to your excellent pass D at your next job interview.
  11. I don't think there's any way Edwards makes that pass. That play would've been a three-yard pass to Jackson.
  12. I gotta go with Collins/Van Pelt. If you tossed Hobert into the mix it would put that year over the top. (Edit: Ah, either I missed it or you added it.)
  13. A few years ago Ricky Williams had a 200+-yard game against the Bills and the Dolphins still lost.
  14. I'd never call him a wimp. I actually wish he'd learn to slide on his runs, he takes a lot of unnecessary hits.
  15. This is a good question, and as others have noted, Edwards does not seem all that interested in football beyond it being something he's relatively good at. Does anyone know what his contract #s were like? He's probably done ok for himself.
  16. Well let me ask you, what do you make of Edwards's play this season? Putting my most charitable spin on it I see a guy who has had his confidence shaken to the point that he looks to check down unless there is a guy clearly getting open deep. If that's the case, then I don't think you do him any favors by trotting him back out there. Sit him on the bench for a while. Now me, I think at best he's damaged goods and will never amount to a thing in this league. But even if I'm wrong I don't see how you can send him back onto the field to continue to fail and lose more confidence. I also disagree with your statement earlier that Fitzpatrick is at best an average QB. At best he's a below average QB. But he was attempting all the things a QB has to do.
  17. I would argue that Fitzpatrick is awful in a different way than Edwards. Fitzpatrick is awful because he doesn't have an NFL arm and will have throws get away from him. Edwards is awful because he is unwilling to pull the trigger to get the ball to Evans or Owens and has lost whatever ability he once had to read defenses. When watching the game today, I felt like I was watching an NFL offense - a bad NFL offense, but an actual offense that featured gameplanning, throws to receivers, and everything. If the Bills had lost this game I would not have been embarrassed the way I was by the offensive showing last week. If I see anyone saying that Fitzpatrick is going to lead us to victory, I'll join you in laughing at them.
  18. Unless Edwards can unlearn his bad habits, I don't give him much of a chance of making it as a backup either.
  19. Definitely too early. I'd feel better if he was out there tearing it up like Jevon Kearse 2.0 but the fact that he isn't is pretty typical for 1st-year DEs.
  20. Thanks, I'm still a bit stunned. Schottenheimer didn't do Sanchez any favors today with the deep throws he was calling when the run was working so ridiculously well. Still, you need to expect your QB to do better than that. Every young QB has a game or two like this early in their career, it's how Sanchez responds that will determine whether he'll make it or not. Beat up on NE again next time you play them!
  21. OK, I'll get right on that. Wait, how do I do that, exactly? Does discussing other aspects of the game somehow reduce my complete inability to cause a change in the front office?
  22. Back at ya, champ. It's astounding that when Edwards gets hurt and the backup comes in, suddenly they start calling slants.
  23. Yeah, not seeing the relevance here. The Bills need to shore up their run D, and fast. That would be true whether Byrd showed that he could make plays on the ball or not, so it's nice to see that we're at least seeing some promise from a 2nd-round pick.
