  1. I never said Hardy was evil, just that he was stupid and potentially has a personality disorder. We bring in a quality veteran WR/TE by week 3. And yes, this time is different because in the past few years we have multiple exact matches that happened or are on the verge of happening. Even if you want to keep religion out of it, our parabolic rise in technology the past few decades is a signal that we are close to the end. Some scientists believe in the Singularity. Pretty much a point where computers jump ahead of us and we start to become part computer. I say that if you graph time on the horizontal axis and you quantitate technology on the vertical axis, soon we will no longer advance in time. The scientists feel time won't exist because we can store our thoughts on computers and just clone bodies. I feel that time will no longer exist because the final battle happens. One of us has to be right, that is unless we have a war so horrible that our technology goes back to the stone age and we develop from a past point on the graph, which pretty much is the "final battle". I have never been a fan of organized religion and I still am not. There is a difference though in believing and yielding to a higher power than man. And to be strengthened by the spirit. I am not saying this to win any debate, because it is impossible. I'd rather be called a name or 20 now for one person to understand later what I was trying to convey. I'm not saying light your hair on fire and run through the streets in a panic, I'm just saying that the switch has been thrown, and there isn't much time for people to get their priorities in order.
  2. My predictions aren't bible based to begin with. My original warnings on the old server came about because I was seeing the financial backdrop of the country from many different firsthand sources. I have always been an investing contrarian and value player, but because of the signals that started over a year ago, and just a bit of common sense, this time IS DIFFERENT. As events started to become public knowledge, and my worst fears started becoming reality, I then projected out what I felt could be the next 3 steps. At the time they looked to be reaches, but you have to project and take action with one golden rule....human nature is self-serving and outright evil when weaknesses in themselves or others present themselves. Look at the vileness of this meaningless message board. Now project that onto the scene of control of finance, resources and military. In the Bible, Jesus says we won't know the exact hour he will return, but he listed the signs that would be taking place. When you look at key prophetic chapters of the bible....Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel and the lovely Revelation....this looks to be go-time. While there is no strict economic link between China and Russia in the Bible, the short course of events that comprise the end times have them both coming against Israel. Revelation 16 talks of the 200 million man army out of the east. Before that Ezekiel 38-39 talk of Gog/Magog...and with the lands listed is an attack on Israel from Russia and Iran with aid from Turkey. Before that happens, a war involving Syria and Israel causes Damascus to no longer be a city...this is in Isaiah 17. Add to this, Isreal is supposed to sign a peace deal that divides land, there will be an increase in weather events and natural disasters, we are supposed to go to a global economy with the antichrist rising out of a renewed Roman empire, New Babylon which all merchants do business with and enjoy riches, burns down in 1 hour.....and this will all go down in a 7 year period or so with the peak of it happening after 3 1/2 years when the antichrist reveals himself as a false god. This past week was just another major sign in my view. Russia is back in business it looks like. As the battles unfolded, Turkey became more open and vocal about their slipping from the US sphere of influence and backed Russia. That is convieneint considering if Russia continues to hold Georgia which is an Israeli supported state with big oil stakes, and Turkey is on their side, they just tick-tack-toed their way with a straight path to Israel, and a reason to begrudge Israel as if Iran and Russia's current alliance isn't scary enough. Israel just nuked Syria's nuclear facility not long ago. Iran wants to bring in the Hidden Imam and has said they will wipe Israel off the map The US has 3/4 of their Navy over there right now and the government has commissioned the two biggest canned and dehydrated foor producers in the world to produce strictly for them since the beginning of this year. We are talking, food good for 30 years type of cans. These companies initially delayed public orders for a few weeks, then months, now said they are out of stock well into next year because of a "big order". The thing that ties it all together is the US economy and the historical look into what happens to Empires when they reach the end of their usefull life. If we are no longer the unquestioned force in the world, we are going to get piled on as 90% of the world will be happy to see us go in the emotional sense, even if it is bad for business. How happy was everyone when the Patriots lost this year? Why was that? I would just say that anyone who pays attention to current events and understands what is told in the bible has to at the very least say "well, this is freaky". If anyone feels their eyes would bleed out if they picked up a bible, check out author Joel Rosenberg and his series of thriller novels that use bible prophecy as the footprint, but I hear they might be tolerable to the Higgs-boson and UT Philosophy posters here.
  3. You can call me a dumb douche right now. It is not Godless, bitter, and sly people that I have posted for over the past year. It is to those that have a brain and are guided by a spirit higher on the scale than Jim Beam. Nostradamus didn't predict that this was going to happen. Someone else did. For all the quoting of academia that goes on in this forum, it is amazing that nobody has the time to read a few hundred pages of scripture and understand what times we are in.
  4. I will no longer post specifics, but I am going to refer to my post in early March on Iran speculation. Let's just say, I hope we have a full football season. Everyone stay sharp, please. Instead of the Arabs and China trying to prop up our dollar, they may sense that we are going to hit "reset" on our debt levels and beat us to the punch. For anyone that doubted the real mess that is going on behind the scenes, this past week should clarify things. We would have lost one of our major banks today, and with it, $1 trillion in swaps would have gone to zero. There is NO market for most of the debt out there. It is up to the Fed to print money and take on all the garbage. This week alone they have fesssed up to hundreds of billions in monopoly money, and there is plenty going on through proxies as well. FDIC, the agency that is supposed to insure our banks, is floating packages of loans outside the banking sector in hopes of saving some of these institutions. In the best case scenario, this is going to cause serious inflation to our economy as a whole, minus housing, and keep oil flying high. In the worst case, the US is going to go bankrupt. If I am in OPEC, I take Hugo Chavez's advice and flip to Euros. If I am China....what would ordinarily look like a death wish could be a brilliant move. I make an agreement with Iran and Russia, sell my dollars, stop sending goods to the US, and watch the fun begin. At the same time, Iran and Syria with bankroll from Russian arsenal, go into Israel from north and south with Hamas and Hezbullah. The US gets pulled into a full scale battle and borders in the region collapse. US military is stretched to the limits, while back home the recession is turning into a depression, and we have to try and manufacture ourselves out of it. With limited oil, and limited resources, we are in tough. China chokes off it's growth, and citizens are in trouble, but thanks to US profits going straight into the military the past 15 years, China takes Taiwan back. There is nothing the US can do now to help without an end game taking place. China now has access to cheap oil, the Muslims take out most of Israel, and with the US obliterated economically and stretched militarily, Putin can now reach back into Europe. Condi Rice was in the Middle East to tell Syria that we have a few nukes trained on Damascus if they get any funny ideas about going into Israel. Cheney was in Oman to shore up defense plans to keep the canal open and visited Saudi Arabia to say "pump it up!" I have a funny feeling the next 18 or so months are going to be the craziest times my generation has ever seen. Nobody is going to claim boredom. Hopefully the scenario I pose is just a nightmare that never happens, but the fact that Bush did a little tap dance routine a few weeks ago on the front lawn of the White House while waiting for John McCain shows just how punch drunk he is. As always, smok'em if you got'em.
  5. I would trade Hardy/Peters for Johnson/Whitworth right now. Then you have a playoff team. Right now a #1/1a receiver and a decent lineman is worth much more than a possible #2 WR and paying $10 million to a 340lb guy coming back from groin surgery who is still a proud card-carrying member of the Single Digit Wonderlic Club.
  6. I don't care who the QB is at this point. Without Josh Reed and possibly another trusted veteran that can be in the right place all of the time, this offense is going to struggle. The entire first team offense looked very "forced" running each play. You could tell certain guys were thinking and not playing. Our TE's are still average on a great day. The OL was blah on running and decent in passing I trust Edwards 100% in running this team and in his ability. I think the Bills made a mistake by not getting him a target that could step in day 1 and be reliable. Hardy did pretty much what was expected on my end...made a catch running in a straight line and made noticable mistakes on 5 other plays. If Reed is hurt for any prolonged time, we are in trouble. Reed by far has the best chemistry with Edwards and is almost always where he should be, even when run blocking.
  7. I guess you didn't Reed that Fr. Evans of the S.Buffalo Parrish got his Hardy Johnson stuck in the Jenkins of an altar boy.
  8. I've stayed out of the Favre circus, but if the Karma gods even things out for all his indecisive BS, he goes down with an injury by week 3 or craps the bed this year. I used to love watching this guy but he is now the Rosie O'Donnell of the NFL to me. Could NY be good...maybe. At best they sneak in with a wildcard I would guess.
  9. I think Youboty was pretty much worthless so far in his career except for occasional nice hits in run support. I admit however tonight he played well. I don't think he is being considered as the starter. Usually when a team makes a move like tonight of playing a guy early and often, it is when they have convinced themselves over time that he isn't a good player and they just want to be sure before making him an early cut. I don't think I could cut him from what I saw tonight, but he may have had his traditional 15 yard blown coverages as well. Greer is just a good, smart, scrapy player. He will probably never be a ProBowler, but he probably also has a job in this league for the next 6-7 years. AT least McKelvin wasn't a disaster at CB and had some jukes on the returns.
  10. In all honesty, I don't think we could find enough people in the entire US to pull of the crap these kids did with the precision they did. I would've lost $100 betting those windboxes were electronic. By the way, anyone with an Asian schoolgirl fettish must have soiled themselves walking on the field for the parade.
  11. 340 lbs + Groin Surgery = lots of ???????? People seem to forget Mike Williams had a very good stretch of football before the injuries started to pile up. In his 2nd year they voted him best OL (which I admit isn't saying much for the Bills), and it was a bad foot that turned into a bad ankle that turned into a bad back, shoulder, peck muscle. Things go downhill in a hurry for big guys when they have a weak link. Now Peters is a beast, but a big beast at that. Until Sam Cowart was hurt in Tampa, he was vastly underpaid for his production as well. We all know how that turned out.
  12. Pennington is the perfect backup for the system we are going to. JP had a tough time breaking the huddle and getting plays off when there were only 12 in the playbook. The fast tempo, quick release game isn't JP's forte, and Pennington could be an asset on the sidelines as well ala Frank Reich for Kelly.
  13. I think Levy had a big impact the previous two years. This year the draft reverted to the Donahoe years where we drafted gimmicks and raw talent over intelligence and character. McKelvin and Hardy can't seem to get out of their own way so far. At least it sounds like Fine is doing well and Corner might be a dime guy. Any front office can get duped if they don't vet out these players all the way. A shot of pain medication and anti-inflamitory in just the right spot can keep a guy looking clean and out of pain long enough for a pro day or combine. I also have pegged Hardy as an injury risk since day 1. There is a reason you don't see his build out there on the field very often. He is a basketball player and unless his body is able to put on 20 lbs in the right spots, the best you can hope for is that he doesn't take many big hits. On a physical basis alone I would have passed. When you throw in his personal life and mental ability, I am guessing the Bills might sign a veteran WR by the end of September to be a #3.
  14. That stuff is like crack if you go to a good place for it. It's the lobster of the poultry family if you ask me.
  15. It sounded like the guy was a little goofy, but tylenol and codeine doesn't make sense. For a guy that developed freakin strains of ANTHRAX, you're telling me he's going to take himself out with codeine? Heck, I can probably pop 20 of those puppies and have a fair shot of waking up in 4 hours. For a guy that develops compounds and germs for a living to take himself out with codeine is like a Marine trying to kill himself with a bb-gun. Show some pride and take it Private Pile style. I talked to the Surgeon General and his top assistant during the height of the Anthrax going out and asked how things were going with finding out what was going on. The assistant told me that Anthrax was the least of their worries compared to what they know is out there. I couldn't believe it. I told her she's supposed to sooth over the public and just tell me everything will be fine. I appreciate honesty, but that caught me off guard.
  16. Summer Sanders....that'll work.
  17. Something tells me Edwards didn't do much in the weight room with his legs. In those black socks he looks like a 75 year old Italian grandfather with those sticks.
  18. Maybe we should ask "E" Moulds.
  19. Bird Flu.........and some guy with a lisp will win a gold on the rings in gymnastics.
  20. Why not?, there are about 60 Cubes on this board.
  21. When I was a cook at Longhorn, if anyone ordered red-meat well-done I used to throw it on the ground before I put it on the plate. I figured that if they were used to having semen in their stomachs on a regular occasion, how bad could a little bleach and rat turds be?
  22. Like a torn groin that never fully heals to support a 340lb man? Welcome to the board Jaws....if I didn't know better I would think you're posting from St John Fischer!
  23. The only time I ever see Youboty make a play is on run defense where he is able to stop a guy ala Antoine Winfield at times. When I see him in pass protection, it is usually seeing his nameplate running up to someone as he already has been tackled by the safety 25 yards out.
  24. On the plus side, you haven't heard about him failing to execute a left hand turn down by the Harbor and hitting a pedestrian at 3 AM. He's got some skill.
  25. This is a funny thread. MY 6 year old girl says that 6 year old girls that are smart enough to understand there is no God, usually turn out to be lesbians at worst or career women at best. Now since there is no God, I don't have to worry about offending anyone with that comment.
