  1. "Be Loud, Be Proud, Be Considerate, and someone pass me the F#@king Funnel!"
  2. I hit the Home Depot $8.88 closeout and load up. Our office had "subpar" AC and my way of fighting back was to put one of these babies on top, underneath, and behind my desk. Not only do you keep yourself cool, but the sound drowns out the rest of the yahoo action around you. The boss didn't dare complain since it took a spatchula to remove your jewelpurse from your knees it was so hot in that place.
  3. The horse took him outside. One of two things happened....1) The foot was iffy, but since a stud deal was done and the connections owe a lot to NY racing, they made sure he was ok to give it a try and gave it their best shot as to not cost NYRA a payday at the betting windows and the turnstiles. The horse was lugging out from the start. When one side is off, the horse will move out in the other direction as overcompensation. He came out of the gate and went to the right...went a few strides and lugged out, and almost blew the turn. A horse goes from running on it's right front leg to it's left front in the turns. Big Brown looked like a rudderless ship on that first turn. He stayed wide the whole trip and the jockey had nothing to do with it from what I can tell on the replays. Now, he didn't look lame and he ran 48 seconds for a half mile and 1:13 for 6 furlongs, which is like a slow workout for a horse that good. He started backing up after that, and Desormeux was asking him for a bit around the turn and only tapped him in front once with the whip. Once that didn't work and the other horses starting coming, he just pulled him up which is the safe thing to do. 2) The only thing that I can think of would be that the heat sapped him early, and he had a muscle problem in his hind end...but he didn't tie up and today they couldn't find anything. 80% it was the foot, and with all the hooplah about injury and Eight Bells, they sure as heck aren't going to tell you it was the foot. They have been pretty honest about his issues from the get go, but then you really can't hide a foot splitting either. A few months ago his foot was made of Play-dough and they just wanted to get to the Derby, so all in all they had a great run.
  4. After they did a few lines, did they get in a car, hit some chick and send her flying, then sped off while leaving her prone in the street with injuries? There's a difference between not being a choirboy and being a scumsucker. Hit+Run and Beating your girlfriend while she holds your 6 month old baby is different than doing some blow and getting a handcranker from the waitress.
  5. I'm confused as to why this board isn't lighting up in more of a frenzy given that this is turning out to be a worst case scenario. Not only was it Lynch's car, not only do multiple people put him on Chippewa at the time, but now multiple people have him as the driver along with the fact he stopped for a moment, then sped off.....AND now we have the DA who is known to love camera time and is getting ready to leave office telling us that multiple Bills players were probably in the car and that they have a responsibility to step up and inform police or else they will be forced to talk. Clark said there are going to be charges, and is goading the other Bills into giving up Marshawn before they are put on the spot and could face charges themselves. This is not going away. If anything it is getting much bigger. I don't know if anyone is going to serve time, but I have to think suspensions will be handed down from the commish.
  6. Any time I fly JetBlue we either blow an engine, get stranded overnight, or end up being delayed for 3 hours. You should be good to go. They have tons of flights out of Buffalo in case you have to flip it at the last minute. That is if gas isn't $6 a gallon by the game and they are out of business.
  7. Per WGRZ Frank Clark is going out in style. FIVE WITNESSES PLACE MARSHAWN BEHIND THE WHEEL! There's going to be a Mafioso sitdown next week in hopes of only probation. I'm assuming Lynch will be suspended for 2-4 games on top of the criminal charges and civil suit if filed. This is why it would have been nice if he came out to begin with. The "it's only cheating if you get caught" attitude is bunk. Interesting that the "Freddy Jackson looks awesome" notes are starting to come out of camp. I sure hope so.
  8. It looked tough the other day. The only 100 or 200's available for seasons are in the scoreboard endzone, and not the rockpile. Those seats are still around for groups and seasons. There were still some decent seats between the 20's in the upper deck, but a bit high up. After today, I wouldn't be shocked to see a run on the remaining season tickets and the whole stadium sold out by July. F Toronto!
  9. I don't blame you at all for making the money, trust me, I do the same at times. It just is rubbing it in the face a little bit when guys are stuck in cue and frustrated and you are talking of scalping them. Sort of like passing by a line in front of a FEMA water handout waiting in 95 degrees a week after a hurricane, and then dumping a bottle of water over your head while yelling "Boy, does that feel good!" I am with you though in feeling the rush for tickets. I gave in on Tuesday and ended up buying 2 more season tickets figuring I would have no problem making money on Seattle, Cleveland and probably New England. We really do have it lucky here to buy a season seat for $300. That's the face value for a center ice seat to a Leafs game.
  10. Same here, and as of yesterday there were NO LOWER BOWL OR 200 SECTION seats, at least for the games I looked at, and the Seattle and Cleveland games are putting you in the last few rows of the middle upper deck, or in the top 10 rows of the very last sections in the upper deck. I'd put $100 on the fact that Seattle and Cleveland will be sold out today.
  11. Contrary to popular belief, Cops are people too and will use common sense occasionally. As long as Marshawn's eyes weren't rolling back into his head, there was a good chance everyone would rally around the injured party and the situation would take care of itself. For most people, what happened to your wife would trigger an instinct that a fellow human being needs help and is in danger. That is why no matter what all the legal scholars on TBD seem to think, the bottom line is you have to go to a pretty scuzzy place in your mind to leave an injured person behind to suffer. I am still hoping that if Marshawn is the "innocent playful puppy dog" that he likes to portray, this will be heavy in his head and he will eventually do the right thing and admit it was a stupid move to leave. Heck, it would be pretty easy to blame it on all those rookie seminars the NFL pumps into their head about staying out of trouble.
  12. I think he meant "that don't show (any talent)" The other guy seemed a little shocked by the statement, so I don't think it was in general.
  13. Frank Clark.....Come On Down!!!!! You're the next contestant on......."Fred Jackson's Starting Week 1" Erie County DA involved now per WGRZ.
  14. Which is why the laws are pretty fugged up. It makes more sense for someone to leave an injured person in the middle of the road than to risk blowing a .08 The DUI racket is just that, a bunch of scuzzball lawyers in bed with the politicians to line their pockets. In 1968 you could drive without a seatbelt, getting a hummer from a prostitute all while holding a SoCo Manhattan in your other hand as you wink at the local officer at the red light. I like Lynch and I'm happy the girl is ok. Lynch didn't know that at the time though as the car sped off. That's the POS move. You hit a parked car, I can't get worked up about it...but it was a woman. I guess there is nothing stopping some freak from taking the plates off their car, wearing a ski mask, and ripping through the player's lot at The Ralph as Lynch is walking out of practice, and aiming for his knee. If you can't ID the person...no harm no foul.
  15. If you hit a female and break a piece of your car off doing so, it isn't a graze. Just look at the articles. The girl was bruised all around her hip, had multiple cuts and was treated. There are multiple witnesses claiming the car hit her but good, stopped for a moment, then sped off. I once was in a fender bender at 10 mph and didn't get a scratch on my car. They impounded Lynch's car. They don't do that unless they are going to bring the hammer down on someone. I think yesterday was a fluff conference, but they want to give the public fair warning that Lynch will be arrested unless someone fesses up. At the very least the girl that was hit is going to cash in if she wants to.
  16. Look at the police report. There is a diagram of the car marked where there is damage and the order of extent. The front passenger side where the headlight is was #1 and the side pannel on the passenger side was #2. That means a pretty nice thump I would think.
  17. Instead of a points system like the Madden Geeks keep talking about, we need an official "How much time would you do?" ranking system for the members of the Bills. You know...something like: Trent Edwards - 6 months and $1,000 fine Brian Moorman - 1 year probation and 30 hours community service Lee Evans - 3 months and 2 years probation Jabari Greer - $150 ticket and 2 points on my license Dwayne Wright - Stand in line at DMV to renew my license
  18. It shows on the police report both the right front, and the right side with damage, and they found car parts at the scene. This may explain why the girl was shaken up for 15 minutes on the ground. Probably hit her upper thigh/hip and sent her flying, but her head was ok so they let her walk to the ambulance. When Roscoe had his little DUI, I didn't think much of it since there is a time where I would venture the majority on this board have driven a car when they probably would have blown a .08, but it takes a whole new level of jackassedness to hit a person then take off. You KNOW that someone is in trouble, you caused it, and you book town. 3 strikes in one. Marshawn comes across as a good kid, so I am hoping he is stalling because one of the other boys drove the posse home and the chaos at the time stopped them from thinking straight to get out and help. If someone else doesn't come forward, they are going to charge Lynch. They have plenty to charge him on, might not get the conviction, but plenty to charge him. The way this offseason is going, Angelo Crowell is going to get arrested at the airport for bringing some toys with him on his honeymoon.
  19. When you look at where the damage was, this wasn't a simple "graze". I have a feeling that the video would be pretty interesting.
  20. Good find. The last blurb says it all. The difference in what is being reported as losses by these institutions and what is closer to reality is staggering. The only reason the regulating arm hasn't come down as of yet is because the government needs to juggle these balls in the air as long as possible before the big fallout.
  21. The exchanges did not want to do this, they were forced. The Fed first did this to gold in March, and now Oil. It is all part of their defense of the dollar. They are forcing rule changes in the middle of the game. It does have a real effect at first, but the same game can be played to a certain extent. As long as there is a continued rally in prices, you can keep adding and adding. It is things like this that should make people pause and see the big picture. To say that there isn't interference being run is silly. Maybe the next move will be that the Fed will start paying out dividends to stockholders of companies in sectors they want to support. Nothing would shock me at this point.
  22. I'm sure that won't be the last of it. Now Daddy's got some ammo to go off on the kid next time Daddy is crocked and wants to mouth off. The kid may have never "gone to that place" before, and may have some immediate issues of identity questioning. If he can do that to his dad, I would think with all the added bad blood, he'll finish the deal next time. I mean, the guy piledrived his dad into the cement, then kicked his limp bodied head in. If you are going to stay out of it, be prepared to stay out of it when the deal gets done for good. It's a whole new ballgame now.
  23. A few years ago they changed the law in NY for a hit and run. If someone is hurt and the person drives off, it is a felony to match as if the driver stayed behind and was drunk. It looks as if the person wasn't seriously hurt, (nobody knows if the woman broke an arm, etc.), then the hit and run is classified as a bad misdemeanor. I still would assume that unless somebody takes the blame for this or unless Lynch proves he wasn't driving, then it all comes back to Marshawn. Then you have to hope if Lynch was driving, he doesn't get caught lying to the cops and having obstruction of justice charges added, etc. It says the car has been impounded, so this isn't a simple traffic violation for sure. Someone check Mayor Brown's house to see if he gets a nice shipment of Bills merchandise tomorrow!
  24. It is possible he could have let someone use the car when he is out of town. If nobody steps up though, he gets the rap I would think. I'm sure the young lady on the pavement is going to have a few more greenbacks no matter the conclusion. Interesting Channel 2 was on top of it. I guess Mike DeGeorge as the police spokesman might help.
