Growing up in the the Falls in the 70's in a pretty low income family, getting invited to any Sabre game was just such an unbelievable event. Every game i attended was like a Stanley Cup final to me..it was that special. October game, January game..March game..didnt matter. It was special. Moved back to Buffalo right after college in 86 and somehow got Orange seasons in Row 1 on corner where Sabres shot twice. My mom did not go with me till a game close to Christams, and once she descended the stairs pretty much declared she would pee her panties before going down those stairs again. She was also so proud of me that game as beer vendor gave me a Christmas Present of a bottle of booze as we had become such good friends in two months! You dont know that, dude has coached like all of 13 months in the league. Buffalo has a lot of negatives to overcome no matter what us homers want to think. Hopefully Ralph gets us over the hump, but that is yet to be seen.

Oh, total brain fart no doubt..it was like their film study overruled common sense .. In terms of the opening, i just highlight again and have no clue where that puck went..has to be between elbow and body on the tender, but looks like he has his elbow tight to his body...a view from behind the net would be great. When he first scored, i thought it had to have gone top far corner, but no, it went through his body somehow.

It was the strangest thing to watch live, but Jacks rep is he is pass first...BTW, I still cant figure out how that shot goes in. Granted, i was watching at 4AM( yes it was live to me)..and did not watch anything other that what they showed on NBC. Jack is playing with a different intensity this year...and while a giveaway of his in the waning minutes led to an A+ scoring chance, his determination and effort in the last 2 minutes was awesome to see. Hope he can keep it up the entire season and Ullmark can continue to play like this( and his posts get bigger!) . Still have a massive complaint with the number of NHL D we have, Bogo being an TOI leader, and Pilut rotting the AHL. I agree. And i , for one, never understood the no video rule anyway. I get it is "cheating " and needs to be punished, but if you do something on a sideline and I can pick it up by studying video, i don't think that is cheating, I think its being smart. That also means you can video my team..smarter guys win..I am fine with that. Now, that does not include bugging locker rooms, have radios go out, deflating balls etc..that is flat out cheating that i would punish severely. BTW, i never understood why stealing signals in baseball was verboten either..

I watched that Pittsburgh Arizona game as closely as I watched the Pats game Sunday afternoon...Arizona tackling was beyond atrocious. Include a Punt return for a TD, and i know cliche, but Arizona was the better team that beat themselves. I am confident Bills are the better team, and if they dont beat themselves will win in a close game. Crowd is gunna be jacked, but i think the Bills have shown they can handle the pressure of big games and moments
