  1. In the past I would begin wetting my whistle with FanTv and WGR coverage of training camp either on Directv or streaming radio over the internet. Whats the deal for this year? Are all the old camp coverage shows now defunct? Thanks to all. We're so close to the preseason start! Will be there for game 1 on Sept 11.
  2. Bob Marley, no question about it. Genious melody, song writer, and performer
  3. From Buffalo. Live in Orlando now but I go to the home opener every year.
  4. I caught the last half. Basically he commented on how the draft was an average one and that there was no clear cut top players on their board. He commented that they are still working the Travis deal right now with some teams but that if nothing happens in the next few weeks that they would shut it down and prepare for training camp. More of the same about the dead Arizona deal...that the Bills coaches werent enamoured with Shelton.
  5. I DONT BLAME DONAHOE FOR SAYING WHAT HE DID. A FOURTH ROUNDER ISNT EVEN WORTH MENTIONING AND HE SHOULDNT HAVE TO ENTERTAIN THESE SHAM OFFERS JUST BECAUSE TRAVIS ISNT HAPPY. POOR TRAVIS. I'M SORRY PLAYING PRO FOOTBALL IN THE NFL IS SUCH A BURDEN FOR HIM. IF HE WANTED OUT OF BUFF SO BAD HE SHOULDNT HAVE SIGNED THAT CONTRACT TWO YEARS AGO. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT A PROBOWL BACK HERE WHO IS UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE BILLS FOR NEXT YEAR. IF I WAS DONAHOE I'D MAKE HIM COME BACK NEXT YEAR AS THE BACKUP. PUT HIM ON THE ROSTER FOR NEXT YEAR NOW AND END ALL THE BS ALREADY. MAURICE CLARRETT WENT IN THE THIRD ROUND. THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW TO UNDERSTAND WHAT DONAHOE MEANT BY 'NOTHING'.
  6. I'm surpirsed this guy didnt go. SOlid tackler. One other safety to watch that did not get drafted is Atari Bigby from UCF. Big time hitter and tackler. All conference out of the MAC. Tommorrow should be interesting in who we sign
  7. I assume you're talking about downtown Buff and since it sounds like you've closed the deal than you've already made the decision that this is a good investment. So why not finish it? I live in Florida and what you describe is done all the time here. I have experienced doing it myself and would recommend getting subs to do some of the more important tasks like drywall, framing, etc. Definately recommend doing it if it intrigues you at all but be forewarned that it is difficult at times and frustrating. You will also have to make budget concessions with yourself because you will definately blow through it. Focus on the big ticket items like your walls, kitchen, and floors. Afterwards, various hardware details like knobs, handles, or other room accents can be added later. Definately gratifying when its all said and done though. Good luck.
  8. WHATEVER YOU DO, do not follow the previous Selson Blue or fish oil posts. Horrible for a dog. Other posts are right on though: use oatmeal or medicated tar shampoos from your vet. They'll cost a bit more but will work. Absolutely avoid any human grooming products on your pet. For the food try changing your dog's diet to a lamb and rice formula or something rich and protiens and vitamins. Eukenuba or Science Diet are good but there are other foods that have even less preservatives and chemicals than these two. Hope this helps and good luck!
  9. Nice find and certainly an interesting scenario for TD but I dont think its likely. The only player in this draft that I would trade one of our team leaders for is Antrelle Rolle out of Miami and he'll be long gone by the ninth pick. PacMan Jones is a possibility but will probably be gone at 7 to Arizona and isnt half of what Clements is right now.
  10. I think Buffalo goes linebacker with the first pick. They need YOUNG depth behind Posey and Fletcher who's career's in Buffalo are likely coming to an end after this season or next. Keep in mind that unless Buffalo moves up in the 2nd round ala Arizona's spot, this pick is positioned to be a talent pick more so than a positional pick. Crowell is purpordedly a very talented tackling machine much in the mold of a Sam Cowart. Beyond that there isnt the young depth there that you see at other positions on the roster. Also, a solid athlete at that position would be able to contribute on special teams immediately. Dont be surprised to see Donahoe pick an LB with our first pick.
  11. (exceprt) Price, a seven-year veteran, proved to be a dependable backup in three seasons with the Bills, appearing in 47 games, 10 as a starter. Price's agent Jordan Feagan said Wednesday he was surprised the Bills failed to make his client an offer prior to Tuesday's deadline. "I haven't talked to Buffalo at all," Feagan said. "I'm a little surprised that Buffalo hasn't been more aggressive about re-signing him. But that's their business." Feagan said Price is seeking offers from other teams, but didn't rule out the possibility of his client re-signing with the Bills. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thought they would've moved on this guy already and move MW over to the left side.
  12. Wednesday afternoon ESPN reported a story attributed to The Herald that said O'Neal was out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The Herald never reported such a story, and ESPN immediately retracted it upon learning that the story the network received was an e-mail hoax.
  13. Hilton Comfort Inn Suites on dick road near the airport. New hotel, nice big rooms, very clean, very clean!! Heated pool the works. Stayed there for the Dolphins game earlier in the year
  14. DirectvHD installation and 3 rooms (non-HD) is running anywhere between $200-$300 but you own the HD box. Also they give you your first 6 months of HD package service free. After that I think its like $6 a month. I tried the $99 deal a few months back but they didnt bite. The best deals are through the local subcontractors because they get kickbacks from DTV and pass along discounts to the buyer. Look in your paper for ads.
  15. For the 3rd week in a row the networks have decided to leave the Bills game off of their HD lineup. Conspiracy theories abound!!
  16. Just at Anchor bar three weeks ago. Fantastic wings served on a pizza platter, very crispy, not served in lake of sauce. My favorite wing recipe: Deepfry until crispy, usually 10-12 minutes. Put Anchor bar of Buffalo's Famous Wing Sauce, splashes of tabascoe and melted margarine in a bowl. Add wings to coat, immediately throw wings onto a hot, greased (olive oil will do) grill. Flash grill both sides quickly on the hot grills. Holy moses they're good!
  17. Just got off the phone with my brother who's down there at the game right now. He's been going to the Bills/Dolphins game for 10 yrs now down in south Florida and he says he 'never seen this many Bills fans at Pro Player before. It feels like the Ralph'. He speculates at least half of the sold out crowd is wearing Bills blue. Go Bills!
  18. I recommend the Samsung that Directv currrently offers especially if you want to get the Bills games on the ticket. In order to receive the off-air HDTV signals you still need a receiver (along w/ your HD ready TV). This particular receiver seemlessly blends the offair antenna channels with the DTV channels, a combination of HD and digital channels. Its about $300 but I believe you can get it for cheaper if you go through one of your local independent satellite providers. Should come w/ 3 regular room receivers, dish, and off air HD antenna all installed. Good luck.
  19. Just my 2 cents but actually Buffalo ranks in the top five franchises in regards to profitability and although I think some of your points are valid, ticket sales actually are a major contributor to a franchise's financial success. A close second only to merchandising which Buffalo is very strong in as well. You have to understand the dynamic of a small market team and its involvement with its community and what that means for the league in the long run from a marketability standpoint. Buffalo fans are born and raised regardless of whether the people/fans stay in Buffalo or move to other (warmer?) parts of the country and the NFL knows that. The town is like a highschool and the team is their prep football team. LA is an event town, like a Miami, more transient, less homegrown. Sure they'll sell the place out to start but they had better put a good product on the field year in and year out. The LA deal is a cash decision for the league and its owners and to move any existing franchise just doesnt make fiscal sense when you can add to the overall league revenue as opposed to just reshaping it.
  20. ...SAVE YOUR NEGATIVE STORIES FOR THIS WEEK, WE DON'T NEED THEM THANKS. Great win by the Bills and a great win to feel good about this week for Bills fans!!!Buffalo's D and Mcgahee may give us some hope this year!!
  21. Not all of the picks today were Bledsoe's fault but I think our line (or most lines for that matter) cannot block long enough for a slow quarterback like Bledsoe. I love Travis but McGahee is a rythim runner and is definately the better back. He needs all the carries.
