No QB next year, fa'sho. I don't see up trading back up into the first this year, so that doesn't worry me and I don't see us trading picks for a vet QB, though, I'm sure we'll get one somewhere. Personally I go with the first and hope both guys work out - then we'll finally have some trade ammo! Last thing, I guess I had forgotten about the Losman trade... You give up next year's first round pick to move back up into the first to take the FOURTH QB off the board!? I mean, if they were willing to trade it near the end of the first, why weren't they willing to trade it at the beginning of the first? Great stuff! I'll say it again, you gotta like Fitz. Not sure I understand his stance though - I couldn't be a guaranteed starter in Buffalo at my price, but I'm ready to be a back-up now. Somewhere else. Even though my family and I love Buffalo. I would have caved and taken the deal! Might as well make a little less and be in a place you enjoy. I'd love to know the numbers! Sounds the organization didn't offer much negotiating room, though - a take it or leave it deal. Bummer, the guy would be a great back-up / mentor for whatever comes next.

Yes, now that Buddy Nix said Ryan Fitz isn't the Bills QB of the future and isn't playing well, the cats out of the bag - other GMs (and fans even) are going to know that Fitz isn't that great!

So what should he have done? Said "Fitz is our unquestioned starter, he's the best QB in the league!" Talk about looking crazy... And if I'm a FA (especially and Offensive player), I feel good knowing that Nix isn't satisfied with Fitz's play. And of course he doesn't know *exaclty* what we're going to do yet - do we get a QB in FA? Does Geno fall to us at 8? Do we take Nassib in the second round? I'm not sure I would take his quote verbatim - I'm sure he has SOME plan and to your point probably a few: - Get Fitz to restructure - Cut him - Keep him at the current rate - And of course draft a QB Seattle knew what they wanted - they traded for Flynn then found that they bottled lightning w Wilson and benched Flynn! Soooooo, really it's the same kinda thing except for the next guy they chose actually worked out (unlike Fitz).

Agree - obviously GMs call one another and talk pretty frankly about their situations. How do people think deals get done - osmosis? Also, not sure how this is "embarrassing" to Nix, he thought he was calling the Bucs GM direct. Yeah it's probably bad it leaked, but it did and now we know Fitz is overpaid and not playing well
