Rishard Matthews and the modern NFL player
GG replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The flipside is what would Matthews' employment options be if not for the NFL? -
He hasn't signed the tender. I didn't see the rules where the team can't remove the tag if the player doesn't sign the tender. My understanding is that if Texans remove the tag, he's a UFA.

I don't know if anyone tried a backdoor way around the long term deal - Bills trade a high draft pick for a Texans scrub player & "future considerations" Texans remove the FP tag from Clowney. Clowney immediately signs a long term FA deal with Buffalo.

Yeah, that must be the reason. Has nothing at all to do with a poster's voluminous posting history. -

Yes it's clear that you're now claiming that your original post was sarcastic in nature, even though you deceptively posed it as if it was your opinion. If you wanted to engage in a real discussion (which you almost never do anymore) you would have been more open in your intent. My views on regulating tech have been very clear, and selfishly, I would focus on areas where Tech is wittingly and unwittingly exploiting kids. I started a thread on this topic and have continually pointed out that Tech's designation of 13-year olds as adults in the online world was a grave error that needs to be addressed ASAP. And I didn't need to hide behind a weak sarcasm attempt to engage in the discussion. -

Funny how when people get called out they fall back on sarcasm. -

You mean the link embedded in the tiny "r" in your post? How about citing the proposed bill in the body of your post? I'd say the response is disingenuous at best, and slimy in its true form, especially when you know that was your intent. Keep thinking that you are a fair arbiter. -

Don't run away from the question. Why do Twitter's "impartial" moderators allow one topic trend and suppress a nearly identical topic? -

Ok, ignore the second statement. Just answer why did Twitter block #ClintonBodyCount trends but is allowing #TrumpBodyCount to trend? -

Were you going to attribute any of these bullet points to a bill that was introduced by Josh Hawley? And you continue to wonder why now you have zero respect here. -

This sucks but not surprised. They allowed discounted licenses this year, but deeply hid them in the HUP website. -

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-Season Game 1
GG replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think there are two plays that highlight what @GunnerBill was referencing about the two players, because the set up was nearly identical. For Singletary, it was a 2nd & 4 play in 2Q where he had wide open space on the left but couldn't run fast enough to escape a shoestring tackle. It was opposite for Wade, who had a couple of defenders closing in on him once he got into the open space at the line of scrimmage, yet turned up his acceleration one more notch to outrun the pursuit.
