  1. The guy had traffic tickets and a few times of going overboard on the field. Granted the on field incident was pretty nasty and I in no way think that is acceptable but listing that as a sign of character flaws and legal problems makes most professional athletes look like a Saint (off the field). I am sure there are man yhere with a worse DMV record than a few traffic tickets (with one unpaid leading to a warrant and maybe a fender bender leading to "personal injury')
  2. Situational speed edge rushers have made an immediate impactat the DE position and this is exactly what we need. Many of these guys have been found in the later rounds too. For example Elvis Dumervill with Denever who had 8.5 sacks in his first year and 12.5 in hissecond.
  3. I am just staring to research some prospects for the draft and Evander Hood has jumped out at me a few times as being someone who will be a steal in the mid second round. If we are able to trade back a few spots, grab Alex Mack, a DE with our second rounder and Hood with our acquired second rounder our lines could be good for a long time. I know there are some Missouri fans on the board. What are your thoughts on this guy?
  4. I saw one draft site that said his 40 yard dash time is 4.57 to 4.66. That means he will probably be a third rounder or so if he does come out which seems likely at this point.
  5. Chalmette High School Assistant Coach Southern Miss Graduate Assistant Tulane Tight Ends Coach Arizona Wildcats Defensive Line/Secondary Coach USC Trojans Secondary/Kicking Coach Ohio State Buckeyes Secondary Coach Atlanta Falcons Tight Ends/Special Teams Coach Pittsburgh Steelers Special Teams Coordinator New Orleans Saints Special Teams Coordinator St. Louis Rams Special Teams Coordinator Buffalo Bills Assistant Head Coach and Special Teams Coordinator
  6. I bolded my projected starters. Any changes you would make? QB: Matt Schaub Matt Ryan RB: Michael Turner Frank Gore Warrick Dunn La'Ron McClain (Will start if Gore does not play or is severly limited) Dominic Rhodes Kevin Faulk WR: Calvin Johnson Torry Holt Marvin Harrison Chad Johnson TE: Antonio Gates Chris Cooley K: Rod Bironas Def: Pittsburgh
  7. I picked them as I thought they would fall and we get in with the #6 seed and play the Jets. That is of course with my homer bias of the Bills winning out and I also realized I had Baltimore going 1-3 down the stretch which I guess is possible with Washington, Pittsburgh, Dallas and Jacksonville. It looks like we should be rooting against Baltimore every week and hope that Arizona can knock off the Pats* in New England. Again, this depends on us winning out which I will be rooting for and thinking positively about until the game starts tomorrow...
  8. Jim Mora is 73 years old. Not going to happen although the sound bites would be interetsing.
  9. Dan Reeves will be 65 in January. While a little age can be a good thing, I don't particularly want someone who gets the senior citizen discount.
  10. Did you see UB football before Gill, a Hail Mary and OT wins??
  11. Umm McCoy isn't a first round pick at all. Tebow and Daniels will not be close to the first round. Matt Stafford may be the only QB taken in Round 1 this year unless Harrell comes out and Stafford would be a top 3 pick.
  12. My girlfriend is one of the event staff people and she worked this gate I believe (as she relayed me a story similar to this at 3:30am this morning). She said she will never work another Bills game again and she works them all because of the way the organization made this decision to "funnel" without warning the crowd and starting a near riot while telling the event staff people to work faster instead of solving the real problem.
  13. My girlfriend is one of the "event staff" people. She said the biggest problem is that there are so few females willing to d othe job so the female search lines get bogged down. Also as the previous poster mentioned, outside that gate they have no responsibility and it becomes complete chaos.
  14. Peppers is the only name that jumps out on the free agent list and he will be way out of our price range as a DE. Our best best is to draft that pass rush specialist in the Evil Dumerville type mold and let Denny/Kelsay handle 1st and second downs.
  15. Craigslist is amazing for tickets, especially at the last minute. I can't stand the 10% service fee on stubhub but i have used them. I got my cleveland tickets for this year on eBay $120 for two tickets. Can't beat that! So basically I shop around but often use craiglist.
  16. I know there is a place in Cary that had a lot of Bills memorabilia and shows the games. Its a smokey hole in the wall type place but it was just what I was looking for. I was there in May and it was still open. I don't remember the name off hand though.
  17. I don't get this. This says that he was texting a team official at least 6 hours after the incident. Didn't the cops come and impound his car? By this point he knew he was in trouble and the first thing I did when the cops showed up to impound my car is to seek legal advice. This does not mean he knew he hit someone. Before six hours the cops had already impounded his car from what I understand. He may not have know he did anything until the five zero showed up. I am not defending him as I am fairly indifferent to this situation but I don't see the logic of how this means he knew he hit her at the scene.
  18. Can't you make it a private league and give us the password? There are thousands of available customer leagues and no search feature that I could find. Maybe its just because I am at work and out of it, but the private option seems easier for all.
  19. I think the point of these type of parties is to take the keys, give the kids a tent or some sleeping bags and let them spend the night so they DON'T go get in an accident. I had a few friends whose parents did this for us and that was their intent at least.
  20. Trade our second round pick and the Ravens third round pick to move up a few spots or into the late first. I am assuming a mid-tier FA linebacker signing. 1a. Marshawn Lynch RB Cal Worse gramatically than McGahee (i saw some interview with him and his cousin maybe who plays for Cal too and man was it ridiculous, not that I am Captain Grammar) but probably better in most other areas. Investigate character and if he checks out , he is the pick. 1b. Justin Blaylock OG Texas Top guard talent in the draft would instantly make our line one of the best young lines in the league. I feel he is the top G prospect in quite some time and he is being undervalued lately as he is slipping ot the later first/early second in a lot of mock drafts. Don't know if it will happen but hey this is my draft. 3. Johnathan Wade CD Tennessee Fast and had fluid hips. I hate those corners that run the straight line exceptionally fast but cannot move their hips. Wade is descibed as having very fluid hips to go with the speed. 4. Paul Soliai DT Utah Huge 6. Matt Trannon WR Michigan State Huge red zone target with some athleticism 7a. Jared Zabransky QB Boise State I like that he can makes plays on the run similar to JP 7b. Ameer Ismail OLB Western Michigan Insert your linebacker/fullback/BPA choice here Thoughts?
  21. Ahh yes...twobillsdrive....haven't heard of him means we can't sign him. He is 6'2, 250, showed good hands in his time in Philly, was on injured reserve last year so he might have injury concerns. Seems like the kind of cheap, younger player with past starting experience that Marv might like.....even if we haven't heard of him.
  22. My brother is an Eagles fan and thought highly of Josh Parry in his time there. He was traded to Seattle and shows as on IR on the NFL.com Seahawks with no stats so he may have missed the year. He started as an UDFA linebacker and moved to FB with the Eagles and seemed to have good hands and has good size. Would he be our kind of guy if healthy? Here is his 2005 bio from NFL.com 2005: Played in all 16 games, starting 12, for the Eagles and recorded career-highs with 13 receptions and 89 receiving yards. Posted a career-high three catches for 20 yards in Week 2 vs. San Francisco (9/18). Pro: Traded by Philadelphia to Seattle for a 2008 undisclosed draft choice September 2, 2006. Originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent linebacker by Philadelphia in 2001 and made the transition to fullback in 2003 where he spent that year on the team’s practice squad. Signed to the Eagles active roster September 27, 2004. 2004: Played in 13 games with four starts and posted nine receptions for 75 yards with career-long of 22. Made NFL debut at Chicago (10/3) and helped Brian Westbrook rush for 119 yards. His career-long gain came at Cleveland (10/24) and vs. Baltimore (10/31).
  23. Funny....when I look up his C.C. he is not listed on the roster or the depth chart and has no mmention in any of the stats pages. I can't believe he went to CC for a year without playing ball and went pro after that.....
