  1. Why are you walking away from this sweet gig? Did you see Terry's pedicure?
  2. Ku-Bi-Ak! Ku-Bi-Ak! Ku-Bi-Ak! Did you see TE big balls on that 4th and 6! Atleast we won't punt from the 39. He definitely knows Super Mario. I'd like Kubiak.
  3. Don't you understand, we can never be happy that we have a Perenial all star Reveiver. The Front office couldn't see the future that ODB would have more yards in his rookie year that Sammy, therefore they are incompetent and should all be fired.Duh.
  4. There is zero evidence that this is true. Eric Ebron is just a guy.
  5. The real question is . . . How many catches would Eric Ebron have if he was a Bill? Because it makes zero sense that the Bills were considering ODB at 1.09.
  6. Stop being logical! You need to Cherry pick random rookies that did better than expected, then bast the Front Office for not knowing the future with 100% certainty.
  7. This is absolutely an unusual year. There are no Alpha candidates. A Bunch of Beta candidates. What happens every year is that the Alpha's get snatched up immediately - Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Lovie Smith, Jim Caldwell. Then after the Alphas get placed the Betas fall in line Marrone, Bill O'Brian etc etc This year everyone looks like a Beta. Mike Shanahan is the only that could may be in the Alpha category but the Deadskins experience really tarnished his reputation and may have dropped him into the Beta Category. The GMs are starting to get placed in Chicago, DC. Coaches should start to tumble soon. Especially when Carolina shocks the world!
  8. I'm glad Easley gets some love. He is one of the most exciting players on the roster. It seems that every game he makes one of those "Once a Season" just wrecking ball tackles on special teams, but he does it EVERY GAME. I would watch a highlight reel of Easley's special teams tackles. You're like "You better fair catch that . . . you better fair catch that . . . You don't whats coming your way Punt returner . . . no Fair catch . . . BOOOM!!!!" Just freaking erasing people from the field. I would love to keep him.
  9. I'm definitely not an EJ fan, he has no gamble in him. To be an NFL QB, like Brady, Rodgers, Flacco, Manning, and Russell Wilson (Super Bowl winning QBs) you have just got to let it rip sometimes. He hasn't done that so far and doesn't seem willing to take a gamble and let it rip. He probably just plays the slot machines in Vegas. Now it could be coaching and it likely has a huge impact. Marrone is an uninspired no risk coach and EJ is a play it safe QB. If EJ ever makes it in the NFL someone has to unlock the gambler in him. The best coach for him should just teach him how to play poker. Sometime you just have to play the 2 7 off suit because no one will see it coming.
  10. Shanahan/Cutler is a poop sandwich. Guaranteed to fail. I can't believe people what that crap.
  11. Lets pretend like we actually know who is in the draft and who is slated to become a Free Agent . . . because you know . . .we do know on January 7th.
  12. 1.)Draft Picks 2015 1-7 + 2016 1+2 is not "very similar" to the the deal that was made to move up #4 by any stretch of the English language. You're being dishonest by trying to make the assertion that the two deals are "very similar". 2.) Of Course having a 1st round pick in 2015 would be nice however the Bills weren't taking another WR at #1.09 in 2014. The story is very definitive, Whaley was taking Eric Ebron at 1.09. So we don't have to cherry pick examples of other successful rookie WRs. The equation is simple. Is Sammy Watkins > Eric Ebron + 2015 1.19. In my opinion I would rather have Sammy Watkins than Eric Ebron and 2015 1.10 (Which is what the Bills record would actually reap in the 2015 draft given the extra losses that Eric Ebron would generate.) In your opinion you appear to prefer Eric Ebron and 1.10. Thats great, that is your opinion. I'd take Sammy.
  13. The Bills options at QB: Option 1.) EJ Manuel Option 2.) Jeff Tuel Option 3.) Garbage Heap FA QB Option 4.) Some Random Shmo that is available at #50 overall. Whaley to prospective candidate, "Man EJ is awesome you're gonna love him. By the way that is really your only option. Unless you got a better plan? Do you?"
  14. I know you said his father said he was staying and baseball . . . but everything I am hearing was that this was completely expected by everyone.
  15. So in your opinion getting your ass handed to you everyday in practice by the best defensive land in football makes you better but Marrone saying you're garbage constantly makes you worse. I think that tells us more about you than what the OLine actually went through.
  16. Aren't you the OP?You're saying that the coaches being harsh on the O-Line made the O-Line worse . . . Come on man, if you're not mentally tough enough to take Marrone chewing you out, What are you going to do when Vince Wilfork wants to eat you for Lunch.
  17. They kind of sucked at run blocking. I think getting your arse handed to you by Williams, Williams, Hughes, Dareus, Charles, and Wynn every practice probably hurts your confidence more than any of the coaches mean words.
  18. That is the problem. If you go and interview 15% of the NFL assistant coaches, then you choice your own you do look 1.) Silly 2.) Like nobody else wanted the gig. We will see. The good news is I like 11/12 of the candidates over Marrone. Mike Shanahan gives me the creeps.
  19. You are way off. It would take a King's ransom to move up from #19 overall to #2 overall. I went back and got the actually traditional value. The Value of the #1 overall pick is 3000 points, the value of the #2 overall pick is 2600 points. The value of the #19 overall pick is 875. The value of every 19th pick from Rounds 1-7 is 1565 points. Basically to move up from #19 overall to #2 overall (and draft Winston) It would take the entire 2015 draft plus 2016 1st and 2nd. Usually future draft picks are discounted at 50%. To move up from #19 overall to #1 overall would probably take all the picks from 2015 draft, 2016#1, 2017#1 and probably a couple extra picks in either the 2016 or 2017 pick. This values are used to structure deals. You can go pack through actual NFL trades and do the point values and most are in line with these values that supposedly Jimmy Johnson put together. The Sammy deal did not "Mortgage the future" a deal like the ones it would take to move up from #19 to #2 would "Mortgage the future" and remember it would be to get Winston not Marriotta. Which would make people on this board lose their minds.
  20. That would be shocking. 1.)Winston is guaranteed to be the #2 QB of the board. 2.)The blown away fumble is super embarrassing however, he is 26-1 as starter, won a national championship where he put the team on his back, and won a Heisman. 3.)There is no way Florida State wins a national championship next year. 4.)His off field issues are a ticking timeclock until the NCAA decides to suspend him and or my favorite thing, "vacate wins." He wants to be the NFL when that happens.
  21. The Watkins trade is a no brainer. It was a slam dunk deal that worked out for the Bills. The 2015 draft class is very weak all around and Other than Winston Mariotta the QBs are weak. Brett Hundley pretty much declared, although I don't believe officially declared. The way QBs are drafted after the Rookie Salary Pool, I can see someone taking Hundley early or trading back, up into the late 1st round and taking Hundley in the 1st. That being said, right now, Hundley is projected anywhere from #64 - #4. He will be the most inspected prospect throughout the draft process. Like EJ all it takes is one GM to fall in love with you and you're a Top 20 pick. That would be one QB that could there at #19 in the 2015 draft. However the Bills wouldn't pick #19 if they didn't trade for Sammy Watkins. I am 100% certain that the Bills record would be more like 6-10 without the Sammy Watkins trade which would give us the #10 overall pick in 2015. Which is a really weird spot for QBs in 2015. If Winston falls (doubt it) to #10 then the Bills would have had to take him at #10, but taking Hundley at #10 is likely a reach. No one wants to trade up to #10 in the 2015 draft because the draft class is so weak, so trading back to the late 1st from #10 overall wouldn't likely be an option. All that being said. Any distractors of the Watkins trade are looking at the pick in a vacuum in hindsight. They point to Odell Beckham Jr. however he was not a consus top 10 pick in May 2014 and definitely would have been considered a "reach" at #9 overall. Not to mentionODB didn't contribute early for the Giants and there is no indication that he would have contributed at all for the Bills. The Bills could not connect on long passes. Eli Manning makes those deep throws. Both EJ and Orton (At the coaching of Morrone/Hackett) had teh fewest "air yards" in the NFL. ODB would not change that. Here is an article written by ESPN in May 2014. ODB is considered the 'riskiest" pick and they would have prefered that the giants went O-line at #12. At the time in May 2014, ODB was not even on the table at #9 overall. Pure Revisionist history to expect any GM to make that pick at #9 overall. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york-giants/post/_/id/36179/giants-draft-wrap-up Riskiest move: The selection of LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. with the 12th pick of the draft isn't "risky" in the traditional sense -- meaning, I don't think he's a threat to be a bust. I think Beckham is likely to be a very good player for the Giants. But passing on offensive lineman Zack Martin for a potential game-breaking receiver was a risky move. How risky would ODB have been considered at #9 overall, taken in front of Taylor Lewan and Eric Ebron? The Bills would have been lambasted for taking ODB at #9 overall, and again it would have been deserved the way this offense works. No way ODB puts up those numbers in Buffalo.
