I think Forbath or Shayne Graham (a little long in the tooth) are more than "scrubs." I'm just saying we got options. If the guy can't kick in 10 days We need a guy that can. -

I disagree. Every year reliable kickers are cut and\or picked up at roster deadlines and throughout the season. This is a position where there are much more than 32 Human Beings that are capable of reliably kicking a 40 yard FG. Unlike a QB where there are maybe 18 Human beings that can be reliable NFL QBs. -

Teams pickup serviceable kickers mid season every season. This isn't like finding a QB. There are tons of dudes that can play. Again, the 53 man cut down is at 4pm tomorrow. We cut Dustin Hopkins. He is now the Saints starting kicker. There will be a cut tomorrow of a guy that is very very very very LIKELY going to be a reliable kicker in the NFL, like about 99.9999999% likely. -

Thigpen helps the team win games. Somehow he averages a 1st down on a punt return. Which is much better than our Kick Catchers of the past. Which helps us win games. Thigpen returns Kick Offs like a pro, Follows the blockers, Follows the blockers then makes a cut. No Dancing around and hesitation. Having Thigpen return Punts and Kick Offs saves wear and tear of our starting players. Having healthy starters helps the Bills win games. If the team can keep Thigpen because they cut Carpenter and Gay after they find a kicker that can do both, I believe that helps the Bills win games. -

Based on these summaries, I'm certainly glad I don't listen to these Dimwits. -

A good Enough Kicker that can do Kick-Offs and FGs is going to get cut in 30 hours. You don't cut Carpenter or Gay before you have a plan for replacement but some of those cuts are going to be heading straight to OBD to try out. -
They changed the rules last year to allow more people eligibility to the PS. Basically every player going into their 3rd year is eligible now no matter how many games they played. Plus expanded the rest of the rules. If you are on IR I don't believe it is an accrued season, which explains some of the players that previously wouldn't be eligible anymore.

You realize there are a Hundred dudes that can be an 87% FG Kicker in the NFL. If Carpenter isn't one of those dudes anymore you can easily get a replacement. -

I'd rather have Thigpen than Cassel. That is my personal opinion lets see what OBD does. -

If Aaron Rodgers went down, and the team had to use Scott Tolzien, who has injury history, and Brett Hundley is backing him up, isn't that concerning? If [Name an NFL Starter] went down, and the team had to use [second String QB], who has injury history, and [3rd String QB] is backing him up, isn't that concerning? There aren't 20 people that can play NFL QB on the planet let alone 96. I don't think teams are stressing too much on their 3rd stringer's relevant starting history. If you're down to your 3rd stringer you are F-ed either way. -

It makes a lot of sense. You can't keep a Kick Return Specialist, Kick Off Specialist, 3 QBs, 7 WRs, 5 RBs. You have to make some cuts. What does Cassel really bring to the table? He is a "caretaker" QB. That is important if you don't have a viable QB option. EJ and T-Mobile stepped up and passed the eye ball test in PreSeason. A caretaker QB isn't necessary at this point in time on a roster that is going to cut players that will be playing on other team's 53 after cutdown. -

Griping or Sharing your opinion are different than calling for the bench. There will be ups and downs. Let's go through a few of them in a few games before we start calling for EJ to start. We've been through this before. That is a very enlightened view and we have at least 40 people willing to give the QB some games before calling for a replacement. -

Is Tyrod Taylor a legit fantasy Pick?
1B4IDie replied to BobChalmers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been getting Robert Woods in the 3rd to last round. (Last round should always, without question be your kicker. Most years Defense should be your second to last round pick). I may need to change that to Tyrod. If he puts up 220 yards passing and 50 yards rushing a game plus whatever 2 TDs. He immediately becomes a Top 10 QB in most scoring formats. It is a pretty risk move to take him as your QB1, but if you got a super stud at QB1 you may just wait and roll the dice on T-Mobile. -
The QB competition is over. The QBs battled and the coaches have picked a winner. OBD has (confirmed) named a starter, Tyrod Taylor. This offseason has seen an epic number of QB discussions. As fans lets support the winner and not constantly call for the bench or for the team to make a change at QB. At a minuum, Lets all give the QB 8 regular season weeks before we start tearing down anyone's QB opinion. Repeat after me: "I pledge to support the starting Bills' QB, no matter who that may be, for the first 8 weeks of the season. I will not belittle or deny their accomplishments. I will not ask for a QB from the bench or on the street to start for the Buffalo Bills. If I feel that I am pushed into a corner and must respond to a comment that is an unfair or an incorrect comparison of the Bills' QBs, I will simply respond with. "I have pledged to support the Bills starting QB for the first 8 weeks of the regular season. I will withhold any comments on this topic until the starting QB has had time to build a track record in the 2015 season." If you choose to take this pledge please respond in this thread. Thank you

The team is stacked at RB, WR, and the entire Defense. Question marks are QB and O-Line. Clock is ticking on Kyle and Mario Williams. Darius may be looking for $120 Million payout next year. I'd say there is no question that the opportunity is now. I think that Rex & Whaley are all in this year. O-Lines gel over time and I think there is great raw talent on the team. If the coaches can unlock the raw talent on the O-lIne and you can find someone that doesn't lose games like Alex Smith or Russell Wilson (well he kinda lost the super bowl) This team is poised to make a playoff run. Given the 15 year history it is a pretty big jump to say Super Bowl run but a boy can dream . . .

Big PayDay Clay is a sunken cost at this point in time. He had a nice 15 yard catch against Carolina. I'm targeting Clay in round 10 and later in fantasy as a TE2 if the draft breaks that way or the league needs one. If he stays healthy I think he is inline for a big year. I actually got Woods in the 3rd last round of a mock draft. I think that is a huge value in fantasy. Clay and Woods are really the only Bills I'm going to target because Sammy and McCoy are going way too early imo.

Please watch TTs throwing motion again. I don't think you're close on your perception of his wind up or effort. He throws effortlessly with a quick release. It was the first thing that took me by surprise in the Carolina game. I actually had to rewind and rewatch many of the throws because My Brain wasn't expecting what my eyes were seeing. Just look at the power, quick release, spiral and accuracy on the 1st three throws. I wouldn't have arm strength or wind up on the list of concerns with Tyrod Taylor.
