BTW, you are in the minority. The NHLs ratings on ESPN are poor with a capital P (so I guess it would be Poor) and have been getting worse every year. I find myself not even bothering to watch ESPN now. Without hockey, it stinks. I mean, ESPN loves baseball and basketball anyway and they hardly talk about it when the league IS playing. I'll only watch sportscenter if I know there is some good NFL talk, but lately all they seem interested in showing is Pro Dart Tourny, Marble Championship Series and freakin' poker TILT!! Am I the minority here? I understand hockey is not popular anyway, guess I'm just going thru sports withdrawls right now! Residents of Buffalo must be going stir crazy without the Sabres to pass the time.

Those bands were fantastic too, but they are all from the UK. British music was awesome in the 60's. On a different level than GD. The Dead however were at the root of American Blues/Psycedelic music where it just took off and all they wanted to do was play. It wasn't for the money. The are incredible when you think about it in regards to they never rehersed and it was all improv - every show!

I have the Winterland Closing on DVD. The intermission interviews are good. I just saw Bobby in Vegas with Ratdog @ House of Blues. Great show and still jams! Some very excellent musicianship goin on. It too bad all the corporate rock today s uc k s ba l l s and basically makes me want to puke.

Did the Bills franchise anyone yet? I'm not clear on this, and does a team have to franchise someone every year? I just saw the commercial last night. I couldn't believe my eyes, knowing it was that a s s Wi pe from HOOTIE and THE BUGNUTS! Then I remember someone posted a note about him on The Stadium Wall and I had to throw my two cents in. This band BLEW big time the minute I heard them in the middle '90s. Disgusting Corporate music!! The BK commercial is even worse signing about some stupid chicken ranch swiss. I'm sure he got paid well and didn't have to split it with the rest of the BLOWFISH!

You know the media. Overblown as usual. We has some serious rain in the Vegas Valley yesterday with some flooding, but its nothing we haven't seen before.
