  1. He gave up a league-leading # of sacks for a LT. He didn't report to camp despite being under contract for 3 years. Chronically gimpy groin. I'll take the picks, thanks.
  2. That take is worth $0.02, precisely. But he has a nice smile at least. I think the point they were trying to make, which Freeman was apparently to think to understand, is that Peter's holdout was a significant distraction all training camp and into the start of the season, and there's no way they were going to risk that happening again.
  3. Yeah, that guy said everything that some of us have already said, but I'm glad some NON-Bills fan said it because now it will carry a little more weight for those who think that every move the Bills make is flawed. Plus, it's on the Internet!
  4. You see what you choose to see, and ignore what doesn't fit your current emotions.
  5. Here are a few facts: Peters was a UFA and played really well for ONE YEAR. Last year, he was average at best. He didn't show up for all of camp while under contract for 3 years. Says a lot about him. He has a groin that we'll probably hear more about this season. They like Bell just as they liked Peters while he was in development. Many fans whined at the idea of putting Peters on the left side when he started. We got really good value considering these things. If another team had done what the Bills had just done, *you* would probably look at the other side and conclude that the move was brilliant. The Bills did it, so it must be flawed. I was hoping this would happen. Feelin' good.
  6. No, several fans are taking care of that just fine.
  7. Huh? And why is that? Peters had ONE GOOD YEAR. Last year he was average at best. He didn't show up for all of camp while under contract for 3 years.
  8. Why would you worry? Peters was an average tackle last year and for all any of us knows, might have been a one-year wonder. But more importantly, his "I'm the best" attitude was an embarrassment. Not showing up for camp while under contract for 3 more years? Unacceptable. Bye.
  9. Who knows, I might actually miss statements like "Now, if he catches that in the endzone....that's a touchdown." I hope they don't elevate Kornheiser. He's *terrible*
  10. JP Losman, Willis McGahee, and Mike Willliams were likely 3 big reasons why Donahoe lost his job. Great arm, good athelete. No football brains whatsoever. I was hoping the Jets would sign him.
  11. Repeat: I think many fans are making more of all this than it's worth. better if it didn't happen, but to go ALL THE WAY to the other side to say that the organization is an embarrassment because of it says a lot about the fan base, too. So quick to react. So sensitive. So quick to turn on itself. So eager to pull the trigger of judgment. Even eager to take a dump on one of its great heroes, Levy. You want embarrassing? Bills fans have said and done more to embarrass the organization than the organization itself. In time nobody will be talking about the Whitner event in Cleveland. It won't matter a whit.

  13. Duke Preston should STFU. He has never been impressive, has never made a real impact, and while he's on the subject of losing to New England, he should be reminded that HE alone was duped into a scrum that delayed that field goal attempt before the half. He was specifically targeted by Belichick as being the sort of chump who would fight back in that critical situation instead of getting to the line. So STFU, Duke. You'll just be invisible in a new city, now.
  14. Wouldn't mind seeing the NFL make it more sensibly regional/thematic bills, bengals, browns, indy patriots, jets, ravens, steelers miami, houston, jax, tenn denver, kc, oakland, san diego But that's probably the "I'm sick of being in Belichick's division" in me talking.
  15. Peters was a below average tackle for us last year. So I'm not sure what's motivating all this "no way" bluster. Peters had one really good year, and TONS OF HYPE. He's not worth top 2 LT money. Give me a break. I'd rather get 2 or 3 1st day picks, or a pick and a player, and then sign Orlando Pace. Do you REALLY think Pace would be a downgrade? Peters thinks too highly of himself, period. His demands are outrageous, as was his behavior last year.
  16. saw an interview with him. seemed shifty to me. I wasn't left with a good impression - did not seem genuine. This is just a first impression - not really a strong, informed opinion. I'm stating it hoping that someone might add to it: Anybody get the same or different impression? Anybody know better than Average Joe Occasional Follower of Draft Prospects (me)? I'm hoping we trade down and gather more Day 1 picks, because we need serious help at G, C, TE, DE, S, and LB.
  17. If 11 million is what Peters wants, every Bills fan should hope for a trade. I lost a lot of respect for Peters last year, and coming off an ordinary year, he has no real leverage to be the highest paid LT in the league. The Pro Bowl? Please.
  18. Sure it is. Peters was ordinary last year. The fact that he was voted to the PB? Politics over performance. He also showed a selfishness that should have disappointed everyone but it only disappointed about half of Bills fans. The way he handled last offseason was ridiculous, and he lost a lot of respect. He also has a recurring groin issue, which can haunt a player.
  19. I think the better question is Pettigrew or James Casey. Would rather take a DT/DE in the 1st and hope to find Casey in the 2nd, but he might not last that long.
  20. Mort continues to discredit himself. Mort is an absolute JOKE. In Donahoe's final year, he himself said this: "if there's a better owner in the league, I'm not sure who it is." So he gets fired, justly, and suddenly the whole problem is Ralph? Joke, Joke, Joke. Has Donahoe worked in the NFL since being fired? If someone would just pose the right argument to Mort on the record, he'll stammer his way into oblivion.
  21. A little help...? I'm looking for articles on T.O. to Buffalo. Seriously, look at the nfl front page of espn - amazing how much attention that guy brings.
  22. yeah. the one thing i'll say though is this: at least this organization is trying. we'll see where this goes. This is a bigger gamble than drafting McGahee, that's for sure. This is an all-in bet. And it foretells further moves.
  23. I'm so confused by this I probably won't know how I feel about it until we've played a few games. This contract better have a "don't be a douchebag" clause. Pros: He'll score touchdowns and sell tickets and allow Lee to score more touchdowns which will sell more tickets. The media will probably pay more attention to Buffalo. Cons: He's a head case, a douchebag, and other unflattering things. And the media will probably pay more attention to Buffalo. Especially if he acts like a head case, douche bag, or other unflattering things. What kind of influence will he have on guys like Lynch? I'd like to know which guys in the Bills Org were for and which were against. I'd have been against, but I'm not on their payroll. I just hope they got a real sense from the players on this team that they would welcome him. Because that guy can destroy a team's chemistry single-handedly. Owens a Bill? Creeeeeepy, man. I wonder if this is the Seventh Sign.
  24. Coles gets open. I hope it's true he's a Bill. Gotta free Lee. Reed is a great slot guy. Hardy is inexperienced and coming off an ACL tear. Roscoe was never meant to be a regular option outside. He's a special situations guy. Steve Johnson? Might have something there. Coles would solidify the group.
