So 2 reporters from the same paper are reporting almost contradictory things within hours of each other?

YAC for days. Maybe not the redzone target I was envisioning but he is the ultimate safety valve and can stretch the field. I'm a big fan.

He isn't as athletic, but he has good accuracy and knows where to put the ball. Even though he plays in a one-read system i've seen him throw guys open frequently with his ball placement. He's my pick if we are taking a stab at one of these guys. I feel pretty good about him but I would still have hesitations about using the 2nd on him. not sure he last until the third though.

If they don't have confidence in any potential draftees and don't foresee a trade I would bring in Locker and McCown. Between them and EJ i think we could find a QB that could get us to 10 wins at least.

This was my first thought when I read the tweet.

No, i'm sure they would like to play with Revis, but maybe not at the expense of their friend and teammate not getting paid and leaving.

I choose Hughes even though I think Revis could make us better this year. For a few reasons: 1. Hughes is younger and will have a longer impact. 2. The D-line is a tight-knit group. I like that chemistry. I'm not sure how spending cash on a guy like Revis, who is pretty much a mercenary at this point, instead of Hughes would sit with them. I know this is the NFL and it seems like a small thing, but I think it's important. 3. Hughes is not as replaceable as people think. He made plays last year that won us games. He isn't just a speed guy. I remember in the Lions game he bull-rushed the OT for a crucial sack. That forced fumble in the GB game isn't a play a lot of DE/LBs make. He was a first round talent for a reason.
