  1. I like aiken, He's shown some flashes, and hopefully he'll continue to improve over the offseason and get better, with that said however, I think we have a weakness at wr outside of moulds/evans, and I would like to see a dependable wr brought in. I don't want the indy colts offense, just a reliable wr, who we can look to move the chains if moulds and evans are covered. Josh Reed the past two years hasn't shown to be this guy, and maybe aiken is, but in the meantime a corey bradford certainly wouldn't hurt
  2. Texans | Bradford an Unrestricted Free Agent - from www.KFFL.com Sat, 22 Jan 2005 21:12:55 -0800 Houston Texans WR Corey Bradford is an unrestricted free agent, according to Carter Toole of HoustonTexans.com. 2002 Houston 16 45 697 43.6 15.5 81 4.7 24 6 2003 Houston 16 24 460 28.8 19.2 78 9.9 16 4 2004 Houston 15 27 399 26.6 14.8 47 3.3 20 3 He started this past season as the texans #2 wideout but lost it because of injury to an emerging Jabar Gaffney. I think Bradford would come cheap and upgrade a need for a #3 wr, and could be relied upon more so than a Josh Reed or Sam Aiken to step into the #2 role if moulds or evans happens to go down to injury.
  3. yeah however shortly after that they have Raiders | Jordan on the Radar - from www.KFFL.com Sat, 22 Jan 2005 15:13:55 -0800 ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Oakland Raiders are likely to make a run at free agent RB LaMont Jordan, of the New York Jets. Raiders team officials and coaches have already studied Jordan, but there are questions as to whether or not he can be the workhorse running back that head coach Norv Turner usually likes. In Turner's system, the feature running back almost always carries the football 325 times during a year. Jordan has averaged just 65.5 rushing attempts in four seasons. While We'd all like to get the most out of a trade with Henry, teams will be more inclined imo to go after the Lamont Jordans and Najev Davenports of the world, or a big time rb ala edge or shaun alexander if they hit the free agent market. Trading Henry is gonna be tough, but I'll continue to hope for the best
  4. Thats the thing Drews an easy guy to get behind. He seems respectful, willing to take blame even when it's not his fault and when it is, Just seems like that friend you can always count on to back you up, but when you gotta rely on said friend he lets you down, and you give him chance after chance after chance until you can't take it anymore, and you wanna run said friend out of your life. I like Drew Bledsoe the person, I even like Drew Bledsoe the quaterback. What I don't like is Drew Bledsoe The quaterback of the Buffalo Bills at least not anymore. I'm ready to go in a new direction as long as that new direction isn't Kurt Warner or Kerry Collins. P.S These are some great pics. Shows Bledsoe as a guy who likes to have fun with family and friends
  5. I was an eagles fan when I was about 4-5 years old. Everytime they were on tv I'd sit up and watchin cunningham play. I guess thats why I liked them, that or the logo. I guess it's kind of hard to appreciate athletic ability at 5 years old. I became a bills fan for life the first time I saw them on tv which was the 1990 divisional playoff game against the miami dolphins a 44-34 victory. I don't remember much about the game other than the score, but I knew that I liked Jim Kelly and Thurman thomas
  6. I didn't say they would thus the ? mark, and you're right they probably wouldn't give up mcmichael and a draft pick, but the idea of getting randy mcmicahel either way would be nice, however Someone else said the only reason we're talking about getting a te is cause "Mr. Cement shoes needs one" with this I disagree. We're talking about te because most good teams have a reliable te or two. 1. NE- GRAHAM/FAURIA 2. Philly- Chad Lewis/LJ Smith 3. Atlanta- Alge Crumpler 4. Pitt- Had reimersma until he went down Several other teams that were in the playoffs like the vikings, colts, chargers also had above average te's on their teams. While I like the potential of Tim Euhus, it would be nice to get a good te. While A randy mcmicahel may be a dream scenario I'd definitly take a marcus pollard or Bubba Franks or draft a Heath Miller from Virgina or Alex Smith from Stanford. It is a position of need. Whether it be for Bledsoe or Losman. if Losman starts and gets in trouble it would be nice if we have a reliable safety valve regardless of who our starting qb is.
  7. I'd take marcus pollard in a heartbeat unless we can get a trade with miami henry for mcmichael/draft pick? But Pollard would be a great te to groom Tim Euhus.
  8. I heard he has his agent type for him. Typing with his bicepts would interfere with his nipple rings
  9. What about a backup rb? I like shaud williams but if mcgahee goes down for any extended period of time can we rely on him? Now I don't really know many free agent rb's and some of these guys probably wouldn't want to play 2nd fiddle but what about... 1. Najev Davenport 2. Tony Fisher 3. Lamont Jordan 4. Sammy Morris/lamar gordon.(I see the fins getting a rb, one if not both of these guys could be let go) I'm sure theres a lot of rb's available maybe even through the draft, but with all the talk about moving henry I was just curious what our rb depth would be like and how we should address it.
  10. WOW, just wow. I'm still sketchy on how he didn't know he had a nail logged into his skull, but at least he's ok
  11. 2004 Atlanta 15 78.1 181 321 56.4 2313 154.2 7.2 14 12 sacked 46 times 266 yards lost 16 fumbles 7 lost Yes Michael Vick is a huge reason why the falcons are where they are.Obviousily having the best rushing offense in the nfl helps. It kills clock and keeps your defense fresh. (although their strength of schedule this year ranked 32nd in the nfl) Yes he's mobile, but this stuff about how he can make a premier pass rush look like nothing at all is a fallacy, as he was sacked a league leading 46 times. Sure His mobility may have helped him avoid a few sacks here or there, but the way people talk about him you would think he never gets sacked, when in fact he gets sacked a lot. Vick is an amazing athlete. He's mobile and can run. However his accuracy on his "amazing rocket arm" is brutal. he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn yard door. vick while a great athlete is far from a great quaterback, and beating up on the rams isn't all that impressive. Remember they played in the worst division in football.
  12. Isn't Doug Brien that dude who used to kick for the vikings that when we played them in 02 he missed 2 extra points? I hate to say this but I'd take lindell over Brien
  13. I love our secondary only a few problems Depth. Milloy and Vincent aren't exactaly spring chickens. Clements and Mcgee's contracts I think run out after next year. Maybe someone can confirm or deny that, and Kevin Thomas and Jabari greer have proved to be adequate nickle backs at best. Safety Depth. We have Rashad Baker who showed flashes at fs before vincent came back. A backup making over million dollars in pierson prialeiou, who btw I like in blitz packages, coy wire, who's good at just special teams. God forbid something happens to milloy next season, and Izell reese who should be cut. We should address the depth in free agency/and or draft. Lack of a pass rush from our front 4. The most telling stat in defensive statistics is obviouisly turnovers. We got a lot of them this year, however the reason we get bullied around by the upper echelon teams like ne, pitt is because of a lack of a consistent pass rush. I'm talking about pressure we don't get it, at least not against the pats, the chiefs game in 2003 another example. The only way to address this is through free agency. I know a lot of people are sour about John Abraham but the guy is a beast when healthy. Or A Darren Howard who averages about 10 sacks a year. All in all though. These aren't huge problems. Depth in the secondary can always be had, but we still need a better rush out of our front 4. When we rely to heavily on our lb's and db's to generate a rush it's gonna burn us against the better teams in the league. We still have a good enough secondary to compare with the best the nfl has to offer
  14. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, and may she grow up healthy, happy, beautiful, loved and a Bills Fan
  15. In the words of Bruce Willis from the last boyscout.... Water's Wet, the sky is blue, Women have secrets who gives a !@#$
  16. Indy over The Vikings If Randy Moss stays healthy Minnesotta has a good as of chance as anyone in the nfc. I just don't believe the eagles can get there without TO, and while I hate picking Mike Tice to get to the superbowl. They have the offensive talent as long as moss stays healthy. If by some chance he's not well than I'm going with Atlanta in the nfc.
  17. What does any of this matter? The Bills organization never had a choice of Bledsoe or Favre, and between the current version of both. No I don't think we could've gone to the superbowl with Favre. Playoffs at best. Now if your were asking. "Who here thinks he could've would won us a superbowl vice Jim Kelly" I would answer with a resounding Hell Yes we would've won a superbowl with The Brett Favre of years past. The guy like Drew just isn't the same qb, and needs to perfect team on offense, defense, special teams and coaching. Favre has Javon Walker,Donald Driver, Ahman Green, Robert Ferguson,Bubba Franks, a great offensive line and still only led the packers to the same 9-7 record that the bills had. Only difference being the packers could win their division at 9-7. Brett Favre is credited for what he's done in the past, and rightfully so, but to say he's an "elite" qb anymore is over the top. Favre isn't winning anymore championships and his past few years in playoff games have been downright disgusting. In his last 6 playoff games Brett Favres stats read. 131/214 1512 yards 9 tds 14int's and a 2-4 record. Brett Favre the great quaterback no longer exists. He's mortal, and only glorified for how great he used to be.
  18. Don't worry for the people who want the jets to lose. They haven't won a road playoff game since 1982. A 17-14 victory over the than LA Raiders in the divisional round. Go chargers It still sucks we're not there though. Makes the playoffs hard to watch, knowing how close we were
  19. The biggest difference to me is passion. Who has the passion for the game, Lives the job. I get that it's a job, and should be treated as such, but give me the guy who lives his job. The guy who will always give you 110% even in the most adverse situations. Everything I've seen out of Willis tells me he has passion that you just don't see much of today. He's total class, talent, and heart that goes unmatched. I believe we're gonna be treated very nicely when we watch willis rip through the nfl and truly make a name for himself next year, as of now though Edge is the better back of the 3, but within 1-2 years. Willis will top this list.
  20. For the record I'd much rather have Billy Volek than Jon kitna, however Volek did take a lot of sacks, and make a lot of dumb mistakes, but I won't hold losing to better teams against him, as the rest of the titans team outside of volek/mason/bennet and brown(when he wasn't injured) sucked. The Volek Machine when he gets a full time chance to start and the titans get some quality guys around him will turn out to be a pretty good qb in this league.
  21. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/a...ol_strip_search LA MARQUE, Texas - Ten students between the ages of 11 and 12 were strip-searched as officials at their charter school tried to find a missing $10 bill. Seven girls and three boys at the Mainland Preparatory Academy were searched down to their underwear Thursday after one of the girls reported the money missing, said Principal Wilma Green. The money was not found. "It's not illegal," La Marque Police Chief Richard Price said. "We don't see it as a criminal offense." But he said an investigation was underway. The search angered at least one parent, who filed a complaint with police and pulled her four children out of the school. "I have never signed a consent to let my kids be strip-searched — never," said Shelli Owens, the mother of a 12-year-old boy who was searched. Green said the school has conducted such searches in the past without calling parents. "Never had a complaint," she said. "I can't say if it happened again I wouldn't do the same thing." In Thursday's search, the boys were sent off with a male teacher and the girls with a female teacher, who told them to strip to their underwear, Green said. "Nobody objected to it. Most of the kids didn't mind because they wanted to get their name cleared," she said. "It was no different than what the students would be doing when they would be in P.E. We searched everything down to the socks." La Marque is about 40 miles southeast of Houston. Sorry if someone else posted this already
  22. Te is a top 5 need imo . We don't have a reliable 3rd wr. Who knows maybe aiken will turn out to be that guy. However you can't underestimate the value of a sure handed te. Obviouisly we're not gonna get an Antonio Gates, or Tony Gonzalez, but the position could definitly use an upgrade. A Bubba Franks, Freddie Jones, or by drafting someone like alex smith out of Stanford, but as far as ranking out needs I'd go. 1. OG/C- Spout off what you want, about teagues improvement, Tukers Nasty Streak. I still see this as a weakness, Barely any push on the inside run game. We still get most of our yard off tackle, and adequate pass protection from the middle. A David Baas Michican, or CJ Brooks- Maryland would be nice to have 2. safety- Milloy and vincent aren't getting any younger, and our depth in this position is kind of blah. I doubt he'll fall this far in the draft, but a Thomas Davis out of Georgia would be a good option and successor to milloy. Baker might be the guy at fs. 3. De- To Me this is why we lose games against the big dogs. We rely too heavily on our lb's and secondary to create pressure, and when we don't get there we leave inexperienced corners like terrance mcgee in no mans land. Thus why he's been eaten up in coverage during times this season. I'd go the free agent route here. A John Abraham or a Darren Howard. 4. K- Has to be relied on to win 2-3 games during the course of a season, on a defensive reliant team. 5 Te- A sure handed te, would improve our %'s on 3rd down conversions, redzone offense and to basically sustain drives, and a higher probability of scoring points. The best offenses in the nfl. The colts/Chiefs/Vikings, all have reliable te's. Now I'm not expecting a Tony Gonzalez or Gates, But like I said an Alex Smith out of Stanford, Bubba Franks or Freddie Jones, are all an upgrade over what we have. Yes I left off qb. I don't think we're nearly as bad at the qb position that the people on this board make it seem. I want to give losman a chance, before I go off about how we need a qb. We don't need a qb to throw for 4000 yards and 30 tds a season. We need a guy that will make minimal mistakes, and not lose games. Give JP a chance
  23. Rudi Johnson | 16 | 362 1457 4.0 12 | 15 84 5.6 0 | | Chris Perry | 2 | 2 1 0.5 0 | 3 33 11.0 0 Would you get rid of rudi johnson after those type of stats? The reason they drafted perry was insurance, incase Rudi had a downyear. Obviousily he did not as his 1457 yards were a bengals franchise best. Didn't mean to snap before, it's just that I highly doubt any of these trades would happen. In all likelehood. The bengals would resign johnson. And in all honesty I don't want Jon Kitna, He's about as erratic of a qb as you can get. I don't see him pushing Losman. I'd personally rather keep Bledsoe. Not cause he's some great qb, but because imo he's better than whats available on the qb free agent market and I've seen enough of both of them play to say that. Granted now it's difficult to keep a qb on the bench who I believe is set to make what 4-6 million next season? But I'd rather keep Bledsoe over bringing in kitna. if you want a vet. Resign Shane Matthews, and draft like someone else here said Jason Campbell out of Auburn, an effecient qb, who rarely makes mistakes, and plays good within a system. A qb who won't lose you games, and could possibly be the guy if losman doesn't pan out. Again I appologize for my previous post, it's just that some of these trade scenarios seem downright goofy. About Donahoe Not wanting Bledsoe. I think we've all come to realize, Bledsoe won't win us many games, and a few instances can be pointed at as the reason we lost games, It is good to see that donahoe sees this, however I just can't see a vet that will be available that is a better option for this team. The Best route to go imo is an open competion for the starting spot. Between Drew and JP, or resign matthews, and draft a jason campbell. This team doesn't need great quaterback play to win games. We need someone who won't lose us games, and who doesn't turn the ball over in crucial situations.
