  1. No, but this weeks guest will be Fred Jackson's groin.
  2. the best thing that can happen for some of these highly touted backup QB's is that they get a big FA contract from someone based on one or two appearances, before they get real playing time and are exposed for what they really are. Back-up QB's.
  3. I say with stick with Orton for another year or two and let EJ continue to develop behind him.
  4. struggles in big games, whiffs on blocks and gives up multiple sacks in a single game? What's not to like?
  5. I disagree. I think many QB's, including Steve Young and Aaron Rogers, benefitted greatly by sitting on the sidelines, learning to become a pro. This is the way QB's used to be developed before the investment became so large that Head Coaches and GM's careers were tied to a young QB's success. Although game time development is important, so is learning how to control a huddle, locker room, etc. I believe a young player can learn to make better decisions by watching a veteran up close. I am not saying his future success is a guarantee, but I believe he still has plenty of time to develop. Hopefully he will be better suited to succeed the next time his number is called.
  6. Huh. I never heard of this either. Lots of players on these teams from big time college progress. Mike Golic's son is on one of the teams too.
  7. Congrats and good luck. Avoid the urge to shine a laser pointer in the eyes of the kick-off team.
  8. damn, I fell for the belief that the etymology of the word was the door to door salesman blocking the door with his shoe. Should have cross referenced first.
  9. When you cross reference this list with the toxic differential, we are a shoo in.
  10. By the way, it is fun to review the pre-game predictions of some of the NY/NJ media. Darryl Slater, Jets beat writer (5-2 against spread, 5-2 straight up): This is the Jets' most winnable game since Week 1 against the Raiders. The Bills don't have their top two running backs, C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson, because of injuries. The Jets' offense will (presumably) get a jolt of energy (and perhaps production) from the arrival of wide receiver Percy Harvin. If the Jets can't win this game, and end a six-game losing streak, then all the optimism about how they played against the Patriots will be gone. The Jets desperately need a win. They will take advantage of their opportunity against the depleted Bills, and finally get one. Jets 24, Bills 17 Steve Politi, columnist (2-5 against spread, 4-3 straight up): The Jets show they're not going to let Rex Ryan go into his next career without a fight. The defense plays its best game of the season, Geno Smith becomes a game manager and Percy Harvin doesn't punch anybody. "Let's go win eight more in a row," nobody says. Jets 16, Bills 10 Dom Cosentino, Jets beat writer (4-3 against spread, 6-1 straight up): The concern for the Jets—hahahaha, everything's a concern for the Jets right now—is that last week's loss to the Patriots would be too deflating. But wait! Percy Harvin's here now! That changes everything! Maybe. I'm picking the Jets, but I'm holding my nose as I do it. 11. Sell the team to Trump!
  12. He said he "had his fill" of football and decided to walk/ hitchhike 130 miles away. Doesn't quite sound like the stable family man they first tried to portray him as. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/10/29/broncos-fan-who-disappeared-from-stadium-found-safe/
  13. He had 157 yards. Know how long it takes a Jets receiver to get 157 yards? 3 YEARS!!!
  14. I reviewed all of the all 22's and he is in fact correct. We are currently out scoring more opponents than the ones out scoring us.
  15. I heard Kiko Alonso is not white enough for some, I hope that doesn't create any tension in the locker room.
  16. We need to see if they have players with numbers 8-15 and get their pictures with Vick every week.
  17. I thought we were winning because he is back in the booth.
  18. And we were protecting a lead most of the game. Not surprising that we would run more in an effort to keep the clock moving. Additionally, since we had a lead, it was a great idea to see if our new running backs could carry the load. This is not indicative of bad play calling.
  19. I wasn't surprised they pulled him, but I am surprised they didn't go back to him once Vick showed he couldn't get it done.
  20. I agree. It is easy to look like a genius replacing a wide receiver when Peyton is your QB.
  21. Head coach, no. DC, yes. Rex will go back to being a DC for a year or two if he gets fired, or do a year as a broadcaster. actually, as of right now, only 27 people said absolutely yes. I wouldn't classify that as everyone.
  22. No prediction of who gets what, but we WILL have over 200 yards rushing, including at least one big reverse. They've been setting it up for weeks.
  23. I agree, life would be boring if everyone always did what was expected of them. I love when he said you would really help my son out by not playing in this game on Sunday...
  24. On the one incomplete to Watkins, if he doesn't reach back and get a hand on it, it would have been picked. Amazing to watch something like this and see how easily it could have gone the other way. Go Bills!
  25. That is hilarious. Have to say, I've never seen that before. Jedi mind trick? I am not the linebacker you are looking for.
