  1. Does Bradford need a blanket and a hot chocolate to go along with that? The wuss should thank his lucky stars he got the last golden ticket on the rookie big bucks QB train.
  2. Unlike Brady or Manning, Foles' arm can't compensate for his lack of athleticism. Cousins' confidence is shot and Bradford is made of glass. I think Manuel is a better option than all three, he's definitely a better option over Cousins or Bradford.
  3. We are still believers of EJ Manuel. Being a believer when everyone is giving up is the essence of being a Buffalo Bills fan. In my eyes, EJ has done enough to still have the faith in him. Funny you mention ISIS. Because it sounds like the haters are trying their best to eliminate the EJ believers. Please tell me who the better option at QB is, because I don't see it. Seriously, tell me who this QB is.
  4. I think the frustration is boiling over. The Bills really screwed themselves trading up for TJ Graham and not picking Russell Wilson. Now fans are fighting over Josh McCown, Jake Locker and EJ Manuel. As a Bills fan, if all things are pretty equal I will favor the guy we picked as "our future franchise QB" with the feeling that it was fate and that it just took some time to happen. I will drop my support if or when Manuel fails to get it done this season. Of course odds are that he won't do it, but I still see the possibility of him shocking the NFL with great play after getting out from under the stench of Marrone.
  5. I'm of the opinion that EJ Manuel did enough to show that he deserves a shot to win the job. But to cut him in favor of a Josh McCown or Jake Locker is shear stupidity. McCown is a proven "backup QB only" and Locker is always hurt and when he wasn't hurt he didn't establish himself as a better QB than Manuel. I really don't understand the Manuel hatred. It's as if McCown and Locker are great additions because they aren't named EJ Manuel. There are no great options, but why eliminate an option? That's lunacy.
  6. Yet there are fans here who are perfectly fine with this direction because that's what Rex Ryan wants. This franchise is a complete joke if they cut Manuel for McCown.
  7. The next time Rex Ryan goes to the tattoo shop he should get "Dope" tattooed on his forehead if this is true. Josh McCown sucks, he's a horrifically bad QB who's clearly not better than EJ Manuel and Manuel is a decade younger, faster and much less turnover prone. The Rex Ryan era has officially jumped the shark if this stuff is true. "Insider" information regarding their stand up Bills QB EJ Manuel being leaked to a TSW poster? Very weak and classless which, with Rex in charge, would totally fit this franchise to a T now.
  8. This Leroi guy has a lot riding on this "insider" prediction, because if this one doesn't happen it goes straight to the top of most embarrassing TSW predictions ever. I think it's complete BS. If it happens I'll be furious and take great joy in trashing the FO, head coach, OC and the joker who's the starting QB throughout the year. Manuel deserves a shot after the Marrone/Hackett disaster.
  9. Either you made this up or someone's feeding you false information. All the reports were that head coaching candidates were on board with developing EJ Manuel. Manuel's contract is nothing right now. The Bills would be beyond idiotic to cut a young QB with size, athletic ability and raw talent who was coached by the worst coaching staff in the league. The only reason I would understand him getting cut is if he "big timed" or disrespected Rex or Roman in some way. Which it's absurd even thinking that he did something like that. If they cut Manuel then I will be on the warpath. The gloves will be off. They will get absolutely roasted by me every day on this board.
  10. Marrone sticking with Orton was probably a blessing in disguise. Because the offense was so suffocating that Manuel no longer had any shot at being successful. Him sitting probably let him keep his confidence that he can play in this league intact.
  11. No need to make excuses for the Texan game by comparing how Flacco did. They were both bad regardless of their QB level. Manuel's a big boy and doesn't need that kind of "well he was bad too" support. I really think that Manuel will have a huge chip on his shoulder this year to prove Doug Marrone was a buffoon.
  12. Manuel's last two starts were "train wreck" bad. But they don't erase his 12 other starts. Football development is not a straight line going upward. Especially when you had an idiot like Doug Marrone in charge. I think Manuel's going to have a break out year with Roman coaching him. If not, then it's officially time to move on. We need a professional in charge before we can make an honest assessment of EJ Manuel.
  13. This goes to show you how silly the Manuel haters have become. EJ Manuel has been Johnny Unitas in his limited starts in comparison to Quinn's limited starts. Have these haters brainwashed themselves into thinking Manuel was "train wreck" bad? He has had an average performance level for a first round picked NFL QB this early into his career.
  14. Also, Marrone targeted Sammy Watkins 3 measly times in the first Patriot's game. He was an idiot and I'll bet you Manuel's going to do whatever it takes to prove Marrone was the problem all along. If I were him, on every snap I'd imagine playing against 11 Doug Marrones out there on defense. If EJ doesn't have a huge chip on his shoulder this year then he aint the QB for the Bills.
  15. First QB thread which the EJ haters wouldn't even dare.
  16. Manuel was coached by Doug Marrone and Nate Hackett. There is no denying that they were the worst offensive coaches in the NFL last season. Arguing that he doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt is simply ignoring that he was severely hampered in his development by those two knuckleheads. You should at least wait and see what he does with Super Bowl quality professional coaching in Greg Roman. If he can't get it done with Roman then it would be a reasonable assessment that they should move on. I'm not saying to not bring in another QB, but Manuel deserves and will be in the mix to compete for the starting job.
  17. 2:27... http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Nathaniel-Hackett-on-OLine-and-the-Red-Zone/32e57e61-a6bd-442d-b9f2-924b9fd287ce He was downright gleeful in telling you that the Bills would take what the defense gives us.
  18. It came from Hackett's mouth. He was unequivocal in his interview on what they were teaching EJ to do. As for "wildly inaccurate", his completion percentage doesn't warrant that description. He isn't Peyton Manning nor is he Tim Tebow. Manuel had the worst offensive coaching in the NFL last season. If I'm wrong please let me know who was worse. That doesn't mean EJ's the answer, it just means that we will finally have a true indication of Manuel's ability with Greg Roman. Doug Marrone tried to fake his way to the top and he was finally exposed as a buffoon. Don't be surprised if Manuel has a huge chip on his shoulder this year to prove to everyone he wasn't the problem after being given this "get out of jail" free card by Marrone.
  19. Have you looked at the free agent QB list? Not sure who the "cute" and "average" ones are that you're referring to. IMO there isn't one QB that would unseat Manuel on that list and that includes Mark Sanchez.
  20. 19 page thread about Josh McCown. Just let that sink in...LOL One thing this year will tell us is if Manuel can't beat out the loser QB that they bring in for competition then he's truly a lost cause.
  21. Is it EJ's fault that Marrone told him to check down all the time? I think it's been well established that Marrone had a major hand in EJ's timid play. I think that EJ will have a huge chip on his shoulder this year. I'd be surprised if anyone beat him out in training camp. Manuel will want to prove that !@#$% idiot Marrone was the problem. If he doesn't show this attitude then you can stick a fork in him, he's done. His team mates will have no respect for him if he doesn't appear to be a man possessed to become the starter this year.
  22. My theory is that EJ Manuel was told not to take chances and not to run. Marrone basically cut off his you-know-what's. Before you can become a good to great QB you need to be allowed to become a good to great QB. All of the greats were allowed to become QBs by letting them throw the ball without reprisals. I had never seen a more conservative offense than I did the Buffalo Bills 2014 offense. I think that if Roman lets EJ "let er rip" and run it when he has to and lets him sink or swim in a "big boy" offense with no training wheels, that Manuel will have a jaw dropping "where the heck did that come from?" season. IMO the Buffalo Bills biggest 2015 offseason move was made by Doug Marrone.
  23. I meant that I was not trying to put down the thread by saying what I said. I was just pointing out that whoever it ends up being will not have the QB talent in proportion to the endless discussion that led up to the decision.
  24. Is there anything sadder than the "which QB will the Bills sign or trade for" QB debate? After we know who the guy is, will there ever be a more "who cares" reaction to something that was so endlessly debated? I'm not getting on this thread, just realizing that when we all finally know who this QB will be, it will register practically nothing in regards to fan confidence about the 2015 QB situation. If I were the Bills, I think I'd trade for either Foles or Glennon and give EJ Manuel a contemporary of his, who has more TDs, and who is widely viewed as a better QB than him. Then see what kind of fighter he is. EJ has a higher ceiling and a lower floor than those two QBs, time to finally see which way that stairway goes. Forced to choose I'd say they go and get Foles after Philly pulls off a trade up in the draft to pick Mariota. Say goodbye to that #50 pick for Foles.
  25. Draft Jay Ajayi who plays the RB position like Marshawn Lynch.
