  1. Plus, Tannehill had his college head coach as his OC his rookie year who happened to have been a head coach with a future HOF QB as his QB. Manuel has Doug Marrone.
  2. Two names the Bills should keep in mind when considering whether or not to let EJ Manuel go… Ryan Lindley, TJ Yates There are about a thousand offensive snaps in an NFL regular season. To those who think that the running QB Taylor and the stationary Cassel will be enough for the Bills to carry, just look at what’s happened to the Bills running back position without a real game even being played yet. The Bills would be very foolish letting EJ go because as of right now he has played well enough in simulated games to be on the team in case of an emergency. There is also the chance that the light will during the season go on because he is still developing, albeit very slowly. I will go off on this team if they cut EJ and they are starting duds like Lindley or Yates in an important game in December or a playoff game in January.
  3. Right now, I'm of the opinion that EJ is going to stay on this team because of the real possibility of either Cassel and Taylor sucking or getting hurt in regular season games. I think there are signs that EJ is still developing and getting a little more comfortable with the NFL game. It will be crazy around here if Manuel plays great these last three preseason games. LOL
  4. I think that if this team dreams of a long run in the playoffs then they should go with either Tyrod or EJ and hope that that whichever QB is chosen catches lighting in a bottle with the skilled talent. IMO the limited Cassel will only get you 10-6 and a wildcard playoff loss. To be something special, this team needs that extra dimension of extension of plays and intangibles that both Taylor and Manuel have. Those intangibles almost always show themselves in tight fourth quarter playoffs games. I hope that Rex will live with the bumpy ride of either Taylor or Manuel which I think will pay off come playoff time when the opposing defense doesn't know what the QB is going to do on any given play. You just don't get that with Cassel.
  5. Geez, I hope that's not his nickname. That is so weak IMO. So happy to see Taylor playing well in this game!
  6. You know when you were young and you had the guts to do something crazy without batting an eye? I honestly think that Cassel lost that "guts" factor that you need in live action. I think the same thing happened to Matt Shaub.
  7. That was a long time ago. I just don't think much of him and if he does end up starting the season I don't expect him to start for very long. It's just my opinion which hasn't changed since the team signed him.
  8. IMO, both Taylor and Manuel are better QBs than Cassel in real NFL games. I can't wait to see how awesome this Matt Cassel guy looks tonight and starts proving how wrong I am...LOL
  9. That poll was taken in July which was two weeks ago. That was before Sanders looked like a scared and weak little man at a speaking event and before Trump's status as leader in the GOP polls became cemented. Trumps numbers have really jumped since then. I think that Bernie Sanders could never be elected as president after America saw that scared look on his face at that event. You have to let people know when that poll took place. It's kind of disingenuous to not let everyone know when that poll took place. The other thing about that poll it appears that 35-45% of people don't really know even who Bernie Sanders is judging by how many voted "don't know" with questions specifically regarding him. Not saying Trump is great, just saying that this poll is a throw away at this point.
  10. I honestly think that the sun has already set on Brady and the Pats. Brady is getting very old and they will no longer get any calls favoring them. In fact, I think all calls go against them after putting the league through what they've put it through. I also think you are burying the lead. The lead is that first game with Andrew Luck because he is the future of the NFL and the future of who the Bills will have to go through to get to the Superbowl. It's kind of like worrying about late career Dan Marino in week two when young Peyton Manning is rolling into town in the first week. I hope the Bills don't obsess over that second game and get beat by the Colts because they weren't focused enough and costing them home field advantage.
  11. I know that there is a need and hunger by some here to be right and to close the book today on EJ. But there has not even been one preseason game yet. In the one game where it was as close to a game as possible EJ was clearly the best QB, or did I miss something? I remember last year when it was well documented that EJ crapped the bed during training camp and yet he looked pretty darn good in those first two games with the first game winning on the road against the Bears. Am I the only one who thinks burying EJ today is just a tad premature? He will get a shot again this year even if he doesn't win the job. I think Cassel is eventually going to get injured behind our line and Taylor will end up getting hurt as well considering how much he runs. This EJ story isn't officially over until he proves he sucks in real games this year. I've come to the conclusion that EJ's only ceiling left just might be that of a poor mans McNabb, inconsistent and inaccurate ball throwing skills yet with a pretty deep ball while having a knack for making plays with his arms and legs in crunch time. It's been very disappointing to see EJ not take that big step forward. My one hope left is that our defense is the reason why all three QBs in general have looked very bad.
  12. Does who starts the season at QB really matter at this point? What I mean is that whoever starts certainly isn't going to have a lock hold on it. I fully expect Cassel to lose the job at some point because defenses will start suffocating the offense when they know what plays are coming just like they did with Orton. In the end, I really hope that Rex starts the season with the shaky/big play ability young guy (whichever) rather than the steady/no big play Cassel.
  13. Well there goes the "It's all been Rex's fault" excuse out the window for the Jets.
  14. Maybe it’s the times we live in, but I’m fairly certain Trump’s comment to Brandi doesn't even register a blip on America’s outrage meter. There were 24 million viewers and the Brandi comment was mentioned as part of Kelly's question. It's received no traction now so why would it later? When you have 100s of controversial quotes like Trump does, why is that particular one the one you thinks does him in? I have heard no outrage after it being brought up in the debate.
  15. For the record, I never said I'm voting for Trump. While I like watching him run right through the MSM, I'm not there yet. I could see him learning on the fly and growing into becoming a great candidate down the road though. As for the Brandi comment. I'm not so offended because she's a former playboy bunny and it was a joke that made Trump look silly, not her. If it was so egregious then why did NBC air it as part of the show? Are you accusing ultra-lib NBC of using blatant sexual harassment for ratings? Why did Trump remain hired by the most liberal network NBC if this was so beyond offensive? It was a bad joke, that's it. If NBC felt it was ok, why would you care so much? Even Brandi feels it's silly to make it an issue. She's a sex symbol, she's probably heard a thousand awkwardly delivered sex jokes.
  16. Technically you guys are both right on the layoffs and salary points. But you and I both know that your argument won't work in a presidential election (see 2012). It's too nuanced for an American public who are fighting just to stay afloat. The article also points out that she was not well liked there at HP. That tells me that the left would have some awesomely effective commercials with former employees telling America how Carly didn't like to mingle with the "little" people. That's a one two combo KO shot to the chin, lights out, election over. I've never understood morally how companies could decide paying CEOs 10s of millions of dollars while laying off employees in the thousands. I mean, I understand it in the business sense. Just morally, I do not like the business practice at all. It's obscene greed when you do that in the process of laying off that many people. There is a point where the CEO salary becomes obscene if massive layoffs are involved, don't you think?
  17. Tripling her salary on the backs of those 30,000 laid off people? Buying a yacht? Five jets? You only have an argument if you're talking to the 1% voters.
  18. That's when the left "drops the mic"... "As the CEO of HP, Carly Fiorina laid off 30,000 workers. Fiorina shipped jobs to China," one Boxer ad claimed. "And while Californians lost their jobs, Fiorina tripled her salary, bought a $1 million yacht and five corporate jets." http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/22/politics/carly-fiorina-hp/ IMO she simply can't win with that hanging over her.
  19. Your argument regarding Trump's business failings fell flat. Carly Fiorina's resume is a joke compared to Trump's.
  20. Because you have no rebuttal is no reason to get mad.
  21. Oh yes, you are so much smarter because you think think the left would be wildly more successful with Trump jokingly saying the thought of playboy bunny Brandi begging on her knees was a beautiful picture rather than Carly’s record of firing 30,000 people and leaving with a 40 million dollar golden parachute.
  22. Fiorina laid off 30,000 people at HP, almost ran the company into the ground and walked away with 40 million dollars. But you're calling Trump a douchebag and holding her up as an opposition candidate? Wow. You keep wringing your hands at what the left would do to Trump, what do you think they'd do to Carly? ..."Hey pajama boys, dust off that 2012 campaign blueprint!" She literally would not have any chance at being elected president.
  23. There's a recording of Hillary laughing at her getting a plea deal at the expense of a 12 year old rape victim. Who does America forgive first? Because you know that Trump is bringing that up everyday, all day if the left tries to play dirty, and he's also bringing in the former underage sex slave who was witness to Bill Clinton visiting his buddy Epstein on his orgy island. Think that Trump won't offer that girl a poligraph for confirmation of what she saw? So after all of this dirt is thrown down in epic fashion and in front of millions and millions of eyeballs not just a few million, who is America going to forgive first? Trump who made an inappropriate sexually charged comment to a former playboy bunny or the Clintons? Americans will understand a man being smitten with a girl like Brandi and making a fool of himself for a split second, both women and men in middle America won't care about it as much as people think.
  24. This thread reeks of an EJ hater's last desperation of relevancy. Doesn't seem like there are lot of fans yukking it up with him. BTW, Andy Dalton sucks. I'd rather have the unknown upside of a QB like EJ Manuel than the guy who consistently pees his pants when it's playoff time.
  25. If only the GOP could have a guy like Bernie Sanders to trot out there as a candidate so the liberals wouldn't feel the gut level urge to attack him...uh, hold the phone... Anyone who thinks the next GOP candidate will not be attacked as a racist and a women hater is delusional. Trump will bring up all the bad stuff he knows on the Clintons if they try to attack him as a women hater. Some of it may already be known to a fraction of people so the difference is that Trump has a huge built in 24 million people audience that the bad stuff could actually gain traction with the public.
