  1. Were any of those players on a playoff game winning Bills team? I think we sometimes tend to think that former Bills players were much better than they actually were. I see that list and other than Winfield, Williams and Gash, I see disappointments.
  2. Stupidity like saying "A crisis is pretty much by definition a cluster!@#$"?
  3. Obviously I touched a nerve. Good.
  4. Any people rationalizing why there was a 3 day delay in getting food, water and medical provisions to the poor, sick and dying victims in the city of New Orleans are just making themselves look foolish. We all saw the speed with which the emergency organizations mobilized after the Florida hurricanes last year. The President, Governor and Mayor ALL dropped the ball here. The pictures of the dead bodies on the streets of New Orleans tell us all we need to know. 3 days before emergency organizations were mobilized to these people, it's a national disgrace.
  5. Remember that feeling everybody had after 9/11? The feeling that we're all Americans no matter our political bent. Labels like consevatives and liberals immediately had ceased to exist. It's too bad that we are back to the name calling once again. I have a feeling that moderates out number the polar-opposites 10 to 1 anyways. Get over yourselves and root for the Bills no matter the player's political beliefs.
  6. Since when are they not the class of the division? Are the Bills? No. Are the Jets? No. Are the Dolphins? Please. Until they're beat and out of the playoffs, they're the class of the entire NFL.
  7. I smell new MTV reality series.
  8. ESPN is showing the NFL film's 2004 season highlights of the Buffalo Bills. Coming off the carpet at 0-4 was truly unBILLievable. It also showed JP Losman what the Bills montra "never ever give up" is all about. Lets all hope we don't start off with that same 0-4 record in 2005.
  9. I don't care if they wore pink chiffon as long as they won. The uniforms are the last thing I'm concerned with this season.
  10. If your hanging your hopes on Holcumb being the best QB on the team, just remember that the Browns ditched him for Mr. Trent "what the heck is he still doin in the NFL?" Dilfer. Can you at least see what the kid does in real games before you start making Holcumb out to be some football star? I don't mean to burst your bubble, but he never was a football star with the Browns.
  11. Soldier Field has historically always been a very slow track because the turf is very loose and thick. Players not used to this usually have a hard time adjusting. This could be the case for the low production tonight. Even the high flying Vikings seem to always play low scoring games in Chicago. I went there once and could not believe how high they let the turf grow. No excuse, but I'm throwing it out there.
  12. However Julie looks 30 years old! Seems everything went wrong in that cover concept meeting.
  13. Oops, my mistake. I didn't realize we're only allowed one havok causing linebacker on defense.
  14. I'm looking for players that'll knock Brady on his ass. Are we the BEST defense in the league? Probably not. The Eagles, Steelers and Ravens are probably better than the Bill's defense. So that means there's room for improvement. I'll appreciate players that help deliver knockout blows to opposing teams. Posey hasn't been in that category IMO. Look at that kid in Dallas, that is the kind of player I want on defense. A guy who causes all sorts of havok. There's a difference in being one of the best defenses and being a team that is dominating, we aren't there yet and I'm trying to look at why, that's all. I think it's reasonable to bring up Posey's name in terms of how we could elevate this defense. He certainly hasn't lived up to the playmaker type he was billed as when we got him. Who knows, maybe this will be his breakout season. He's been here three years and I know little more about him as a player than when he got here.
  15. that has gone more under the radar? From what I hear we have a very good crop of non-starting linebackers and I was just wondering if Posey is a player that at least should be hearing footsteps from one of these guys. I'm not saying I have a major problem with Jeff Posey. It's just that I don't remember him as making any game turning plays. I look at all the other defensive starters and I can at least make a highlight reel of them making game turning plays. So I pose this question, how good is Jeff Posey and do we possibly have a better player on our bench? Then again, I could be totally off-base even questioning his talent, I just can't get a read on this guy. Any Posey fans out there that can enlighten me?
  16. Evans is better, though Moulds remains my favorite player.
  17. I don't care anymore. Let's get this damn season started already, I sick and tired of opinions of what the Bills will and won't do this year.
  18. Relax, we're in a dead period right now. The preseason is already getting annoying and the real season still seems somewhat far away, how many times can you talk about what kind of NFL player JPs gonna be? Irvin turned a Bills topic on TJ about why DB wasn't motivated enough in Buffalo. I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share. Maybe you're the sore one who can never talk about this past relationship.
  19. Were you not watching the Bills play football games the last three seasons? I agree with LA, Bill's an idiot for thinking Drew's still got it.
  20. TJ and Irvin were discussing current under-rated players in the NFL. TJ said he thought that Bledsoe was the most under-rated and that he will have a great season based on Bledsoe's motivation from seeing Tom Brady winning all of those Superbowls. Micheal Irvin starts to snicker, then laugh, as he says..."shouldn't that motivation have been when he was a Buffalo Bill?" TJ had the dumbest look on his face as they went to commercial. Thank you Micheal. I couldn't stand him as a player, but I've always liked him as an analyst.
  21. Wasn't it Dallas that was the Bills trading partner that brought us JP Losman? Think they wish they had Losman in their camp now? TD pulling one over on Parcells and the Cowboys...brilliant!!
  22. complete pre and post-game shows? Sirius? NFL field pass? Real? (I tried in the pinned topic but got little response) Thanks.
  23. Dude, he wants top money NOW. How is paying him that kind of scratch a year before he hits free agency the smart thing to do? It's called making Nate PROVE himself in 2005, thats a good thing for the Bills. Apparently, you just want to give it to him a year before he earns it. We all know Nate is worth a lot of money but we all seem to agree that he's not the TOP cornerback in the NFL. Well Nate, here's your chance. Go prove it baby!
  24. The other Clements thread became a spitting contest on a single play from 2004. Getting back to point, what I want to bring up is that I think we should wait till this season is over to negotiate with Nate. If he is not going to settle for anything less than top money then let him prove it THIS season! The only reason you extend a player a year before he hits free agency is that the player is willing to drop his price to have as insurance against an injury in that final year. If Nate isn't willing to deal then let him prove his worth in the final contract year. He may have an off season, which will drop his price, or he may have a top cornerback season in which he proves his worthiness of a top contract.
