If you're saying we can dump Malarkey for Gruden then I'm on board for that move. Unfortunately I don't think Gruden will be leaving Tampa for Buffalo.

Jerry Sullivan sounded like a nagging mother-in-law in that article. The Bills are a joke...nag nag nag. We have no offensive line nag nag nag. We're tired of losing...nag nag nag. I told you that they'd never amount to anything...nag nag nag. Yes Donahoe screwed up the offensive line, but a lot of this season's woes can be blamed on going with a green QB and the loss of a huge defensive leader in Spikes. Well Sullivan said he supported removing Bledsoe and TD can't do anything about injuries unless he's god. As a beat reporter he really should hedge his bets a bit and wait till the season's over before making such foolish statements. If Losman looks like a real player and team leader by season's end then exactly how stupid does TD look then? Many sane fans had accepted that there would be growing pains with Losman, well there were and our season ended up being lost so that we could get the kid experience. Sullivan's can pout and hold his breath till the cows come home, but this team still has five games left. The more I think about a massive turnover at OBD the more I don't like the idea. To me, a staff turnover means a guaranteed bad 2006 season for the Bills. I now want to see once and forall what TD and MM do now that the QB situation has been solved. Luckily it appears we have a lot of good young players who can really play. Though he has some major faults, I think TD had something to do with them being here.

True. When the going gets tough, only the seriously weak fans don't care anymore. I can't even comprehend being apathetic towards the Buffalo Bills. For all of those throwing in the towels, give us all a break and go away then. This IS a Bills message board after all. Wanna know what I don't care about? What other NFL organizations feel about the Buffalo Bills. F' them.

Fortunately no one over 21 pays attention to ESPN anymore. They'll be like..."Yo dog, who's Rob Johnson? Never heard of him homey."

This is one of the best posts I've ever read here. After watching all the knuckleheaded QBs come and go since Jim Kelly retired and seeing this kid starting to gain confidence as a starter, I'm feeling more and more stoked about the JP Losman era. I seriously can't wait to watch the last five games of 2005.

The Bills problem can't be fixed with one Draft
1billsfan replied to Nick in RaChaCha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know how bleak this season looks right now, but I disagree with your assessment of how far away the Bills are to being contenders once again. First off, I see an AFC East division that will be one of the weakest in the NFL. I also see JP Losman getting more and more comfortable so he will be ready to truly be the man in 2006. Yes we do have holes but look at how the Bears and Giants went from horrible teams to playoff contenders in just one season. This team will have the money under the cap to plug most of the holes. Our top ten draft pick could even be a factor, but he doesn't hold the key to instant success. I think the Bills will be contenders next season, even with the bad bad record we will no doubt end up with in 2005. -
BILLS playing on Thanksgiving Day 2006

South Beach vs Lake Erie. You make the call. -
Wrong. Any team that can throw down a 41-17 beatdown of the Pats in Foxboro and also spank the Giants to the tune of 45-23 is a team that should be considered one of the best in the league. Four losses you say? Well they lost to the Cowboys, Steelers and Eagles by a combined grand total of 9 points. They're the only team that could possibly pull an upset on the Colts in the playoffs. San Diego is the real deal, the Bills never had a shot because they are not even close to the same level as the Chargers.

I'm sick of rolling the dice too. Right now I'd take Marv Levy, Jim Mora, Jim Fossill, Dick Jaraun over Malarkey. Wish list guys are Jeff Fisher and Brian Billick. Side Note: I'd like Dom Capers as our next Defensive Coordinator.
-
This team is one big giant vanilla softie. Seems like TD missed again on hiring us the next great Bills coach. If I were a player I'd have pulled a Blutarsky and start fake coughing at Malarkey..."cough cough P*ssy! cough cough P*ssy!" after that call. Then again, the coaches could have pulled the same prank every time the players came trotting back to the bench.

Here's my suggestions for a new...

Phillips did suck. Since when does downright mediocrity count for keeping a coach around? Some Bills fans have high standards, so sue us. The way I see the 2005 Buffalo Bills, Mike Malarkey's teams have an apathetic attitude towards games. I don't know why but I see many players playing without passion this season and I also see a team that's ill prepared on the road. How many teams have the Bills beaten that had a winning record during Mike's tenure? I'm thinking 1 or 2 at most. This team seems to have no respect for it's head coach. I'll give you this tough, out of all of them, MM would be the last guy I'd boot out the door. -

TD wouldn't be the GM. So it doesn't count! Plus he has a positive track record here. I want a guy the players will fear. I'm sick of the "buddy" system MM seems to deploy. The "buddy" approach gets you lambasted when players take games off like many did yesterday. -

Count me in. -
Ron Wolf/GM - Green Bay always seemed to have stellar offensive lines. Don't know if he'd unretire. Dick LeBeau/HC - Would bring a nasty no-nonsense attitude back to the team. Dom Capers/DC. - Top notch defensive coach. Mike Heimerdinger/OC. - Expecting a mass exodus in Jetland with this one. Was great a OC in Tennessee. Has a year under his belt in AFC East. Yes, the Jets had an awful year on offense but we all know they lost half their starters with injuries and all of them were their best players. Bobby April's a keeper.
-
the Bills have faced this year. The rest of the AFC playoff teams better hope and pray they don't get in because I think they could even take the Colts. SD did lay the lumber on these two potential playoff teams: 41-17 beat the Patriots in Foxboro 45-23 beat the Giants at home That being said, the Bills aren't good and changes do need to be made.

In honor of our team giving a half hearted effort, I thought I'd only give 5 reasons the Bills stink instead of the full 10. 5. We have a bunch of players that can talk the talk but fail every time at backing it up. 4. Lack of heart, these guys only play hard when they want to. 3. TD, MM, TC, JG. Not one of them has done a good job this year. 2. Defensive Line, QBs have all day to throw and RBs have semi-truck size holes to run through. 1. Offensive Line, nuff said.
-
I'm talking about coming out with guns ablazin, not throwing it around the entire game. Thankfully JP is not the stationary target Holcomb is, he also has an arm that's a thousand times better. JP and Lee have are clicking right now, IMO they need to exploit this tandum. This is one of those games where the players can play like they have nothing to lose (they're 9 point underdogs for god sakes!). Play loosey goosey, take a few early shots to Evans (or Moulds if Evans is the man getting double covered), I would even try tossing a deep one to Parrish. Once they get SD to back off the line of scrimmage then they can really have a great chance to get Willis going. I think we lose this game anyways, I'm just suggesting what my approach to winning this game would be.
-
Thanks, that spelling error pretty much sabotaged my point. Oh well...I still feel like they should ride the JP/Lee combo in SD.
-
San Diego is third to last in passing defense and first in rushing defense. JP and Lee obviously have a good thing going here and I think the coaches would be wise to take their shots downfield early and often against the Chargers. Play fast and loose and let the chips fall where they may.
-
Dude, if it takes you 7 beers to get you in the mood to bang that cutie, you just may be a batter for the other team.
-
Um Sam Wyche, I'm pretty sure that was in my original post. Read much? I've seen no cohesion in the 1 1/2 years that TC has been here. None. I also haven't seen him outcoach a winning NFL team. All of the Bill's "big" offensive games have been against the NFL's weak sisters during his tenure. This is not what I'd call a good trend. I'm not too high on the TD, MM and JG for that matter. But TC should be the first one to go imo.

Panthers Cheerleaders arrested

But if they're bad, they've been known to take a pretty good pounding. -
It took him 8 weeks to reshuffle the line to get Jason Peters in there. It took him 4 weeks to use McGahee like we all knew he should have been used. Constantly sending McGahee off the field on third downs. Apparently he doesn't like screens. Red zone playcalling has to be the worst in the league. Buh-bye Tommy Boy. The fact that Fassel and Billick's offense sucks has no bearing what so ever on whether the Bills should keep Clements. I think Malarkey should ask Sam Wyche to take over the offense.

Hey, as long as they can handle the tight ends I'll be satisfied.
