  1. I have not lived in NY for over 20 years but that tax number is pretty scary. In SC I own a couple of houses (Charleston and Greenville) and my taxes are less than 1% of the value of my homes. What is the tax percentage in WNY?
  2. Every Bills game will be played in the Eastern time zone. That helps
  3. My boss (NFL) gave me a nice Christmas check. It was about $1,000 dollars ($100,000,000). I was going to spend it on gifts (players) for my family (fans). When I went shopping (recruiting free agents) I found some bargains and snapped them up. I did see some items (players) that would have been nice but I thought that they were overpriced so I decided to not get (sign) them. I wound up spending about $800 dollars ($80,000,000). Some of my family (fans) were disappointed that I had not spent all of the money. I tried to explain it to them that it would not be wise to overpay for things (players) or to get things (players) that we really did not need. I tried to explain it to them that we had some big bills (contracts) coming up and might need keep some aside for that. Needless to say I am not the most popular dad (owner) with some of my family (fans) but the rest of them understand.
  4. He may not be sending it. Somebody may be spoofing his email address.
  5. Only if he completes a Hail Mary to win a bowl game, wins the Heisman, goes to Canada for a while, and loses a couple of inches.
  6. I've got nothing against Hockey. I enjoy a game now and then and watch playoffs more regularly but to say that "The Sabres are taking advantage of the fact that the NHL is a better product than the NFL right now." is pushing the limits of credulity. NBC, CBS, ABC, ESPN fight hard and pay big dollars to show NFL games. Last years NHL playoffs? Media giant OLN gets the games. Try breaking the Prozac in half next time.
  7. I'm reminded of an expression from my youth. "It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you".
  8. I agree again. I want to hang with all of these posters. Go Bills
  9. Could not agree more. I make the point to show that the Bills are a better team than the record shows. I am very much looking forward to next year.
  10. If you put any faith in the Power Rankings you only have to look at Dr. Z's. Eight of our games were/are against teams that are currently in the top eight power rankings. Now that's a tough schedule.
  11. When faced with the same I usually take two intelligent ESPN analysts and get some rest.
  12. "Opening the windows will make it twenty degrees cooler in the stadium than it is outside without air conditioning" I'm no friggin physicist but that is a direct violation of the laws of thermodynamics. On top of that have you ever been to central Texas in August? I'm thinking of going next year. Either there or the sun.
  13. Actual transcript of a conversation held between NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and a staff member recorded by the secret "Bills mike" that had been hidden in his office by an operative working for TSW Office flunky: Will that be all, Sir? Goodell: Yes, Jeeves. Thank you. Oh wait. There is one more thing. Move the Buffalo/Miami game to 1:00pm. Office flunky: Begging Sirs pardon I remind you that you recently had moved that game to 4:00pm from its original start time of 1:00pm. Would not this change create an even greater hardship for the home town fans? Goodell: Jeeves. You poor ignorant fool. Nobody cares about the Buffalo fans much less myself. (Loud deep evil laughing from an indeterminate source) Goodell: One more thing. Get Hochuli on the phone and let him know about the change too. Office flunky: Very well sir. Goodnight.
  14. Agreed on all points except one small detail in the naming. McKeller's nickname was Killer (as in Killer McKeller). It is the K in Keler from which the K-Gun is derived.
  15. Not that I'm the most politically correct person in the world I think that the point should be made Hispanic does not always equal Mexican. The southwest of the US was originally settled by the Spanish (thus places named Los Angeles and San Diego). I'm an ardent supporter of a very restrictive immigration policy but we should not lose sight of the fact that there are a substantial number of people of Hispanic decent that are just as American (and maybe more so) than us. Just for the record I am of English/German origin so I am not grinding any axes here.
  16. Gonna hafta be at my house. Your place is trashed!!!!!
  17. I ran out of beer today and they don't sell it here on Sundays. Damn stupid laws.
