  1. I don't possibly see how anyone would ever rank Clayton/Mason above Chambers/Jackson. That just doesn't compute. Also i agree with what was said above in regard to the recievers of the following teams: Saints, Steelers and Broncos. Esp the Broncos. Brandon Marshall is incredible and Eddie Royal proved to be a very legit 2nd option in only his rookie year.
  2. Im no lawyer but I think that if it's deemed to be satirical that you can pretty much do whatever you want. Satirical use of logos and such is protected along with free speech. Then again I could be totally wrong.
  3. Impossible to have been based off of the PFT report since that came out at 4:30 and Whitner changed his facebook status at 11:08. Does anyone know who Whitner's agent is? wouldn't happen to be Rosenhaus would it? NM, just did some quick research, don't know who his agent is but apparently not Drew-daddy.
  4. Id rather see us add Amani Toomer than Galloway. Although if that's what it takes to keep Galloway from going to New England, I'm all for it.
  5. I would definitely prefer that but if for whatever reason the Bills made that move it wouldn't be the final straw in my deliberation regarding season-ticket renewal.
  6. As am I. This is a solid signing, inking a starter for 2-3 million a year is a reasonable move. We still have a load of room to maneuver with the cap. We are clearly not done. Now just for Chambers/Fitzpatrick.
  7. yes for a 5th round pick or lower I don't see what harm it could do. Meachem was a solid prospect coming out of college but a knee injury derailed his rookie campaign. If I recall he wasn't 100% healthy all year in 08 either. Meachem did make a few big plays and display some of the potential they saw initially. The emergence of Lance Moore really has made him more expendable than the Henderson signing has I would say.
  8. Does anyone have a clue what we paid to extend Kirk Chambers and sign Geoff Hangartner? The Florence deal number came out almost immediately. Why has so little been said about these other contracts. If they were sizeable deals you think the agent would've leaked them to the media. I have heard nothing whatsoever except maybe somebody said we signed Hangartner to a 4-year deal.
  9. Overall McGee and Greer are about equal in terms of cornerback ability. However I think McGee is a more valuable roster commodity and more proven.
  10. Dunn would likely be better suited for that but I don't see him coming to Buffalo. It would be nice though. Jones could be an acceptable #3 but I doubt he is much of a special teams contributor, which is something you kind of need out of any guy who is relatively buried on your depth chart. It'll be interesting to see what shakes out by the end of the day.
  11. Im pretty sure the money we saved by cutting Dockery will be redirected to Peters at some point in the near future.
  12. Thats all Im saying. Its one of those "its such an honor just to be nominated" kind of things. However until its absolutely certain that it can't happen I will continue to hope for us to sign him or some other quality line players.
  13. In one of the many Brown-related postings on PFT someone reported that he either has or likely would draw interest from the Bills. I think it was from the Washington Post but Im not sure.
  14. If these were proposed offseason moves for a Madden franchise, I would say thats a fantastic plan. In real life there's a lot more to it than that. Do you really suppose that a guy like Brooks who has played in Florida his entire collegiate and pro career would want to sign some bogus deal to play in Buffalo on a team that is far from an obvious contender? I would love us to get Brooks, but there's multiple holes in that plan aside from the one I just mentioned. Brooks is exclusively a weakside linebacker. It wouldn't be impossible but it would require positional adjustments from our linebackers. I like Birk. Good plan. really any quality Center or Guard. As far as Andrews, I like him as a player but he's coming off of a major injury and if we sign him I'd hope it was for him to play guard. I think Walker had arguably the best year of any of our lineman. He got shown up on a play here or there but for the most part was solid throughout, he didn't get injured really, and his price is palatable. Brandon Moore could work, the Jets had a solid run game this year. Henderson, we already have a guy like him on our roster, his name is Roscoe Parrish, only he's better. DT is not our primary position of need and although adding a Haynesworth is always good, it may not be in the best interest of the organization to dedicate such a large chunk of change there. Dawkins would be sweet although he doesn't look as nasty as he used to as seems to be perpetually injured. I prefer Sean Jones as a safety signing. What about Amani Toomer, good physical veteran who is accustomed to cold weather. He has size, should come cheap, brings leadership attributes and presents at least a moderate threat in the red zone.
  15. Lelie went to college in Hawaii. Not exactly a Buffalo guy. Also he is worthless in terms of special teams contribution. The fact that his teams don't retain him is telling. Its somewhat mystifying because he flashed a good deal of potential early in his career. Lelie got hyped up perhaps a little too much by the pre-draft buzzmachine though. He was one of the first players I remember who kept an online combine journal. So I wouldn't say that he lacks the talent, but if he were going to show it consistently it seems that he would have done so by now. Hes tall but not tough and we need a 2nd WR who can take hits and run-block. Mike Gundy would describe Lelie's play in those areas as "Garbage".
  16. Winborn would be an upgrade over Ellison but far from ideal. They could be bringing in these guys because they share the same agent as a guy who wasn't officially a free agent until midnight that the Bills had actual interest in. The bills feign interest in the one client and wink-nod the agent as in "We are really looking for new interior line depth, maybe you should consider staying in town and oh yeah, leave your phone on". Its just a thought. As far as florence goes one has to consider that when he was in San Diego, their pass defense mostly stunk. Then he goes to Jacksonville, where their pass defense falls flat on its face. Unless we have a Will James-esque plan for him, I am opposed to adding him to the roster. He may be an acceptable depth corner but the Jaguars grossly overpaid for him.
  17. Seems highly unlikely that acquiring Carpenter is the answer to the Bills' playoff drought.
  18. Mark my words, secure Eddie Royal at any cost in fantasy football next season, especially in any type of receptions league.
  19. You sound like my inner-bills fan, except I hope for your sake that you have not been as thoroughly bludgeoned as he.
  20. I like Crabtree a lot and I think it would be hard not to take him. Unless his workout is through the roof I'd say its a slightly less than 50/50 chance he falls to us right now. But the draft is in about 100 days. Plenty of time for things to transpire. Also I agree that Calvin Johnson is the best reciever prospect to come out as long as I have closely been following the draft. Fitzgerald was more polished though and is a truly phenomenal player. I also agree that if Crabtree truly is that good then we would be foolish to pass him up.
  21. I'd go with Kawika based just on the way they impacted the team. "In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king!"
  22. Nobody seems to be mentioning the fact that his Raiders team definately could've been in the super bowl the year before had the stupid Tuck Rule game not gone the way it did. Freakish things took place and the red-hot pats went on to upset the greatest show on turf. The Pats don't get that call, things could be much different.
  23. If we dump a ludicrous contract on a player while retaining Jauron as coach it might only serve to further infuriate me. Why pay $10 million a year for a top tier player when for as much or less we could potentially acquire an elite coach. Not that I won't rejoice if we sign Peppers or some other elite player. I most certainly will. Personally I don't understand the justification for doing so. I think if we throw money around it'll be on more than one individual. However if we do something stupid like pay Greer 5mil annually I will throw up.
  24. Assuming Jabari leaves, we're gonna need a replacement. Imagine the look on his face when he isn't let into Canada to check out the "scrip clubs". Seriously, he is mega-talented and he already has an alcohol problem so he should fit right in amongst the locals.
