  2. Completely agree. Hovan is 6'2'' 295. Kemoeatu is 6'5'', 350. Which do you think will be a better run stuffer and a suitable replacement for PW?
  3. 1. I based it off of what I've read in a few places. I feel that they are mainly on target with what I've seen, but you're right in that the values are probably off. 2. Again... going by what I've seen and heard. 3. Ditto. I took like an hour out of a lazy friday to do it and enjoyed it! I think I know more about the Bills offseason priorities than I did before. I have no respect for Rob Johnson. The screenname is a prison sentence, not an exaltation.
  4. No one else has an opinion? This took me a while to do, and I expect a full flaming in return. Please. Seriously though, what do you think?
  5. I probably did put Zemaitis too high. I had info saying he is day one material. That's what I based this on. As far as safeties, I feel they will improve with a better DL and Spikes back. I think they are capable, yet aging. TE's - Campbell is not sufficient. Yet, we have spent two picks on Euhus and Everitt and haven't even really seen what they can do yet. I think we may have a starter in KE once he gets some experience. Haggan is a RFA and I don't have him retained.
  6. I wanted to try to simulate the offseason and actually fill the gaps where many of you usually just put "FA" or "RD 1 Pick". So here is what I came up with. If a player isn't listed, assume they were released or allowed to sign elsewhere. Any comments and opinions are certainly welcome. I urge you to share your own charts as well. It was well worth the time. Draft 1. Haloti Ngata - DT, Oregon 2. Andrew Whitworth - OT, LSU 3a. Alan Zemaitis - CB, Penn St 3b. Hank Baskett - WR, New Mexico 4. Charles Bennett - DE, Clemson 5. Erik Meyer - QB, Eastern Washington 6. Omar Gaither - OLB, Tennessee 7. William Freeman - ILB, Furman Free Agents - Rock Cartwright (RB, WAS), Jabar Gaffney (WR, HOU), Jeff Backus (OT, DET), Terrence Metcalf (OG, CHI), Grey Ruegamer (C, GB), Maake Kemoeatu (DT, BAL), Terdell Sands (DT, OAK), Dante Wesley (CB, CAR) Quarterback - Kelly Holcomb, JP Losman, Erik Meyer Running Back - Willis McGahee, Rock Cartwright, Shaud Williams, Lionel Gates Fullback - Daimon Shelton, Jon Goldsberry, Ryan Neufield Wide Receiver - Lee Evans, Jabar Gaffney, Hank Baskett, Roscoe Parrish, Josh Reed, Jonathan Smith Tackles - Jeff Backus, Mike Gandy, Andrew Whitworth, Jason Peters Guards - Chris Villarrial, Terrence Metcalf, Bennie Anderson, Justin Geisinger Centers - Duke Preston, Grey Ruegamer Tight Ends - Mark Campbell, Kevin Everitt, Tim Euhus Defensive End - Aaron Schobel, Chris Kelsay, Charles Bennett Defensive Tackle - Maake Kemoeatu, Haloti Ngata, Terdell Sands, Tim Anderson Outside Linebacker - Takeo Spikes, Angelo Crowell, Josh Stamer, Omar Gaither Inside Linebacker - London Fletcher, William Freeman Cornerback - Terrence McGee, Dante Wesley, Alan Zemaitis, Eric King, Jabrari Greer Free Safety - Troy Vincent, Rashad Baker, Jim Leonhard Strong Safety - Lawyer Milloy, Coy Wire K - Rian Lindell P - Brian Moorman LS - Duke Preston
  7. Vince Young = way over rated I'd take Leinart, Omar Jacobs, Brady Quinn, and Jay Cutler before him.
  8. 1 OTTAWA*- 55 pts 2 PHILADELPHIA*- 53 pts 3 CAROLINA*- 50 pts 4 BUFFALO- 52 pts 5 NY RANGERS- 48 pts 6 TORONTO- 45 pts Get a few more wins and maybe we can talk.
  9. Yea, you're probably right. Here's a guy that's only a freshman and can probably gain some weight. Andrew Dewey We could get him as an UFA and convert him to LT. It'd be cheaper, too.
  10. UVA trailing, but Ferguson is MONSTER! No way he's on the board when we draft, but man do I wish we'd had a shot at him! Coverage is showing close up clips on him for blocks on almost series. One time the announcer said, "Lipka is trying a swim move here, but that won't work because Ferguson, a 6'5'' black belt, won't have a part of it." His pass protection is picture perfect. They also said that because his footwork is so great, he's been able to work with new protection techniques.
  11. I don't believe the issue lies with us not being able to counter the opponent's adjustments. They do fine there. It's usually when we can't adjust to their response to our counter adjustment. Thus, we must work on adjusting to counter-counter adjustments.
  12. I love it. Let's get it done TD, or Ron Woolf, or Marv, or whoever the hell else is the proposed GM of the day. That statement is just screaming irony.
  13. I didn't see this posted and thought it was hilarious and depressing all at once. Apologies if you've read it already. Article Link - Brushback.com
  14. Just watching Sportcenter... Three highlights from tonights game in the top ten plays: 10. Biron glove save 3. Drury tying it in the 3rd 1. Campbell in overtime (with RJ's call too; i got goosebumps) Feels good to be pumped about Sabres hockey again.
  15. You know the Bruins are in turmoil when they trade the face of the franchise (& one of the prominent figures in the NHL) for a package of players being led by Wayne Primeau. I mean. Come on. He's only 26, too! I think Stuart may be successful in Boston, but other than that, what a steal. Enjoy watching Thornton. And the Sharks, as that trade did wonders for their chances.
  16. Briere was day to day with abdominal pain. He skated saturday and was expected to play Sunday against the Caps but woke up in great pain. Team doctors believe it could be a sports hernia now, similar to the one that just ended McNabb's season. He's expected to travel to Montreal with the team to visit with an expert on abdominal injuries. It doesn't sound too promising though.
  17. Not to mention Ray Emery, who could be a starter if put in many other situations.
  18. Holmgren gave up GM a couple years ago. Tim Ruskell took over for Bob Ferguson just before this season in Seattle. He does still hold the title of VP of Football Operations, but still isn't the main guy in personnel decisions.
  19. The Bears played great shutdown defense against Carolina. Their strategy was bizarre becuase they let Carolina get the ball to Smith, and focused on stopping the run. Smith went nuts with 14 catches for 169 yards, but the Panthers only rushed for 55 yards as a team. So all we have to do to shut them down is let them throw the ball, but suffocate their rushing offense... I just started feeling sick to my stomach.
  20. This could be devastating for locker room chemistry. Seriously, I'm all for D'Brickashaw Ferguson if he's available when we pick. Many mocks have him going top five next year. Even with our current situation, I don't see us picking that high, so if we somehow land him, I'll be content.
  21. Good points. Beating weak teams on the road was a large part of our run down the stretch last year. Also, we did start 0-4 on the road last year as well. This year will be a lot tougher, so any form of victory will be acceptable in my eyes, especially with losses already tallied against New Orleans and Oakland on the road.
  22. It's possible, but the NFC West shouldn't really count. That's why I was doubting the rout over SF. It's kinda like sex in another area code.
  23. Do the 49ers not count? Seriously... I'm not sure. Do they?
