  1. That is total bullschitt. Regardless of whether you thought he was good or not, or ran hard into the hole, or got hurt every play, he always gutted games out. He came back early from every major injury. Played almost entire seasons hurt. That's a load of crap that he had no heart. Completely false.

Not to mention that you're wrong about the bonuses, too. That was not incentive bonuses. That was about whether or not he or The Bills had an option on the last year of his contract or not.

Im not gonna question CJ Spillers heart.....

But i dont think he lasts the season

  2. Point was that Cassel got the benefit of playing for one of the greatest teams ever. So that helps with wins.

But overall, the most recent history is important. There really is no difference in the performance between Manuel and Cassel the last 2 years. IMO, a vet should be superior to the young guy.

Look C I get the position you are trying to promote in this qb situation and I am not against you persay

    but

In last years training camp EJ manuel was flat out horrible (every QB in camp was) but EJ manuel is the 1st round pick........and should have been performing far and away better then the other 2 QBs.......he wasnt

Now.....I really do hope that this years camp everyone is talking about how EJ is CONSISTANTLY looking good.....and across the board by all camp goers....and not talking about the few practices that he actually looked good.

Training camp is not regular season.......but man.....it WAS bad

  3. Got a call from my front-office guy Monday saying SI would be doing an interview/photo shoot with Rex at the Big Tree for an article on the optimism in Buffalo since he arrived and asking if I wanted to be in the photo. Had to keep it on the down-low to avoid a stampede. Well DUH! Found out the next day that Jim & Thurman would also be included. So I took the day off and headed to Buffalo.

The SI reporter talked to Rex at a back table while the assembled volunteers did what we do - had a few beers and talked Bills. Pinto Kenny was there, as were "The Chefs". Chatted with Jim & Thurman a bit.

When the solo interview was over, they all went to a table, had some wings, and talked in front of the camera for about half an hour. Discussed how the Bills are so integral to the community and how Rex is fitting in, how Rex compares to Marv and the current team to the 90s version. Sounds like both Jim & Thurman are involved quite a bit - Thurman's first meeting with Rex turned into a film session on a QB they were looking at (but refused to name). Jim stressed the need for internal leadership, and of course a QB who could use all those weapons. Seemed like there were no tears shed when Marrone left.

After that they arranged the assembled fans behind the 3 while they snapped pics.

Jim seems to be doing very well - was very energetic and looks to have put back some of the weight he lost during treatment.

It was a very cool way to spend a few hours.

    Your my hero!

    :)

  4. Would rather already have it in muscle memory--its an attitude. The Senior Bowl isn't Suh. Not just pushing back just to be an a'hole my friend -- just have not been as impressed with the available G's as the pundits...

I love Cordy as a T -- which is the original thing you called me on -- you were right. But if the Bills draft a pure T and Henderson and say Humphries are better in Kromer and Roman's mind -- what do you to with Cordy?--he is definitely one of the best 5...

    I'll leave it at that...

Your just expressing opinion hey its cool everyone has got one.

I think there are some really good OL options in this draft. When you further compound it with

The only upgrade has been Richie I.

Chris Williams has back issues......frankly back issues on NFL big men scare the crap out of me

    Urbik is average

    The others inside are unknown

We HAVE to upgrade through the draft

  5. I have watched most of them during the season -- what concerns me is Cann, Tomlinson and Jackson seem to be wait and catch pass protectors instead of "punch first ask questions later" aggressors--tackles are usually more aggressive in pass protection -- and I can see some of the better DT the Bills face just plowing over the better G's in pass situations......

A lot of these guards did fairly well at the Senior Bowl. And the technique that you are describing is coached.

  6. What an idiotic response.Perhaps if he ran into a family while he was racing on a public road or a child riding a bike it would be ok because he had a hard life and hes a good player. You guys are embarrasing to all Bills fans and frankly Im losing interest in the Bills because they are quickly becoming a franchise of scumbags.

Something tells me your not long for this board.....

    Please keep digging

  7. I misstated on this..guess I could have stated it better this way...none of the 2nd round guards in the draft excite me...I would rather draft a good T who has played some G and projects to either G or T in the pros rather than draft one of the G's. Flowers and Fisher seem to fit this best.

However if it came to it and Humphries or Peat were still on the board at 50 with Tomlinson, Jackson, Cann, etc...I would go for Humphries or Peat and then let the competition begin...Humphries and Peat seem to be pure T's

Actually.....OG is pretty strong in this draft.

I also would like to have Fisher though......because he can play both OG and OT
