  1. EJ looks comfortable. All three seem confident, in charge of the huddle, etc.

The report was delayed as we had the exterminator over for tea.

Okay, I laughed out loud! He's not that bad. He'll get mop-up duty against the 3's of Carolina, I'll bet, and we'll anoint him starter in post game comments.

    Astro,

Honest question. Do you see improvement from EJ Manuel over last year?

  2. Yes...mine doesn't go black it turns to blue.... take the remote hit the input button...scroll down to the HDMI2 and choose it...it should restore. Mine does this all the time. Thank heavens it did it the first time when the 30 year old tech savvy son was home.

Yeah I am attempting do that it isnt working. Although I do need to change the batteries in the remote...:)

Did you pay your Scientology dues?

LOL.....they dont take your money they take your soul

  3. I actually wonder if what we see is a person full of anger and is handling it the best he can........and the few instances Robert has had could be much much worse.

Its not like Robert Woods is know for being a trouble maker.......he has had some instances where he lost his cool.

  4. I dont think this started happening immediately but am just taking notice of it now

    - Periodically I noticed that the the little "HDMI" notice of what type of connection the TV has would pop up at the corner of my tv.......but the signal wasnt lost and movie kept playing with no distruption so I took no notice of it

    - I turned on my TV last night and now my tv wont keep its signal........screen goes to black and says "no signal" .....not the Direct TV notice of no signal but the tv notice of no signal.

    - I mess with the direct TV box pressing the reset button......pressing the guide button on the main box....etc etc......things will come up on the TV for a few moments then it will go back to the black screen saying no signal.

    Any thoughts?

  5. The Watkins pick actually makes perfect sense. When one drafts a QB in the 1st round one is hopeful that he will become a frachise calibre QB. This means that you don't look to waste the pick by seeking to replace him after one year(unless he shows himself to be a disaster). You might also want to draft a WR who theoretically will blossom at a similar time to your young QB(WRs traditionally coming on in their 3rd year).

Assuming that EJ never pans out, it does not mean that Whaley's plan to build a team was bad.....for had his prime piece of the puzzle(QB) panned out, he would be sitting pretty with a WR like Watkins on the team.

I just get so sick of people slamming the Watkins pick

When you have the opportunity to draft a player who day in and day out in his 2nd year looks like the best player on the field......YOU DRAFT HIM

Its over.....the 1st round ransomed pick year is over.....we have our 1st round pick back next year......price has been paid.......enjoy Sammy

  6. That's fine, but if that was the plan they should have went heavy on getting one or two more solid offensive lineman in here as opposed tieing up money and cap room in Percy Harvin.... Yes it's too early to tell on the line, but getting a pro bowl right guard or tackle in here as opposed to Harvin would make much more of a difference for this offense.

You do realize that they tried to bring in 2 vets.....who decided to resign with their own teams.......

You cant force them to come

  7. I see the logic in this

EJ Manuel got blamed for "fumbling a shotgun snap"

On another board a poster named badlandsmeanie puts out a great review every day of what he saw at camp.......and he made that sound like that ball basically got rolled back to EJ....(mean it was a bad snap not EJ's fault)

I feel like it is a big problem with our own team because different people view things different ways on what actually happened. I tend to go by what the majority of people say on a given day....

And as far as reporters like Rodent.....I dont care of ANY of what they have to say

  8. it just seems common sense. If you are going to take the time to tell us what rex said in a press conference, and then mention expertise in the area, why would you not share with the board your expert breakdown on the scheme/our personnel? it seems thats the piece that would be the least commonly known among readers.

He is probably trying to solicit other posters ideas on the defense rather then just influencing his with his own.

As I have found on the site....I have always felt i was pretty bright on x and o football....but I am always learning as well

  9. I would take it seriously. There are people on here that get a lot more inside info than the reporters. It may not come to fruition but it is in line with what I heard at the end of last season. I just hadn't heard anything recently so I dismissed it as something that didn't happen.

The difference between Kipers Hair and Leroi is Kiper doesnt come on and drop info like that.....then start posting like a lunatic.....

I actually take Kipers Hairs stuff like this seriously

  10. I've heard from sources, those same within the franchise that gave me the EJ lead and moving up for Sammy - the team is quietly trying to see what, if any interest exists for EJ - if the season started tomorrow, it's Tyrod, Cassel and SIMMs right now... Granted, it's August 2nd, but perception is reality, EJ isn't making the grade. They love the intangibles, but he is not consistent enough to be considered an NFL starter.

This honestly does not suprise me at ll

Feel bad for EJ and I still think if he was handled differently at the outset he would be a different QB.....however because of the physical talents he might be the only QB on the roster that actually has trade value.

  11. That is fair. Admittedly, I don't think that EJ can be a successful NFL QB at this point. His flaws (accuracy & slow eyes) are fatal flaws IMO. It's just fascinating to me that as a board the guy that we like the least is the one that has had the most NFL success. I'm no Cassel fan either but I don't hate him (or any of them). I'm hoping for Taylor I guess but I'm not sure why other than I don't think that the other 2 are any good.

I know this.....I think that EJ not having strong days is opening up the door for what Rex really wants to do

Start Tyrod Taylor........I just get the feeling that this is who they really want to hitch their wagon to.......they just want him to earn it

Do people really believe that there is some "anti-EJ" agenda? If so, why do you believe that? I'm just trying to figure out why we try so hard here to justify every mistake that he makes? Or any Bills player for that matter, there is going to be some good and some bad. That is football. For some reason though, we feel the need to make excuses for the bad. If you make more good than bad you will have success. It doesn't sound like the offense is doing that at the moment.

To be honest.....I really dont think there is a anti ej agenda

More like they want to see him succeed.....and are upset that they are not...and I INCLUDE the media in this......

  12. No, I'm not saying he was good but he was okay. The numbers say the same. Once he realized he was retiring he didn't hang in the pocket quite as long but he was fine and led the team to a 7-5 record. The Bills don't even need good QB play it just can't be the worst. As of right now the Bills may have the worst QB situation in the entire NFL. That's scary.

Im sorry there are just so many different variables playing into the "worst QB in the NFL" bit

    - Rookie QBs like WInston are going to have their growing pains....Winston showed a high propensity to throw picks in college...that will increase in the NFL

    - I still do not think Geno Smith is better then EJ Manuel

    - The talent base around EJ, or Tyrod (at this point I am not rooting for Cassel.....we need to see what the young mobile QBs can do) alone will increase their productivity on the field

    - Its early...its really early in camp......gonna have to let this play out

And as I have said in MANY posts......I still think regardless of what happens with these QBs we need to be agressive in drafting a QB high in this next draft
