Will Tyrod get a pass this week when we suck out against the Jags...? People will say he had no talent to work with....others will say bring back EJ....Bengals D is a top 5 this year...EJ played second half with woods, moore, hogan, clay and shady.... Tyrod will have the same group this week against a terrible defense...I think its scary for tyrod not to perform with that group on a higher level or its opens the questions to who is the starter especailly against a weak D like the Jags... EJ had 4 practices with the #1's I think he did what we was suppose to do...keep them close and have the D give him chances to win, unfortunately they didnt.
Unless TT is 100 percent I vote to keep EJ in the lineup......

Our offensive units are not the problem!
Rex has the most offensive talent he's probably ever had. He has playmakers. Even with injuries, the offense has been putting up points most of the time. His defense is the problem, and that's solely his problem.
And its a little early to be calling for his head when Rex has historically had some pretty good defenses. Lets see if he gets it worked out.
Not like there is a choice anyway....he isnt going anywhere

At 3-3 I think it is premature for ALL of this talk
My prediction for this year was 10-6 because our GM has done a wonderful job buying the groceries but we do in fact have all new coaches.....it takes some time.
How many top players are injured?
Look....I get that people are worried because the strength of our schedule is yet to come.....but lets not automatically assume these are losses....this team has not come close to playing its best ball yet.

Several reasons, one of them appearing to be Reeeeeeeeeeeeeex.
We are 3-3
And while we are sucking at home we are in fact winning on the road
Look....I get why people are upset but can we wait to see what the team looks like when its top offensive threats are not injured?
And yes....there were issues going on with the jets for the last 2 years....the GM and Rex were butting heads and Rex was not getting the players he asked for.
Its just too early for this.
I will say one other thing another problem that this team has is they want to up and fire everybody when they dont get the immediate results they want.....over the years there have been SEVERAL conversations in Cinci that looked a lot like this.
Look where they are now. Health is a wonderful thing

I hate to peek out while the pitch forks are being waved but
Are we not taking stats from the "bad jets"
Things have been pretty bad overall for the last few years with the jets am I right? And is there not several reasons for that in question?
Ok....carry on
-
Absolutely. EJ has been on a rampage this season with the torrent of injuries he's caused - and the throw to Watkin that broke his ankle is uncalled for and certainly not the sign of a team player.
I am not going to say that EJ hurt Sammy with that throw...I think that is a little over the top
but
The way EJ throws behind and low to his receivers CONSTANTLY is maddening....just maddening
-
Are we really talking about firing people after starting 3-3?
shhhh pitchforks are out keep your head down
-
You guys realize this is NOT going to happen right?
THe best you can hope for is that they get the situation fixed.......
-
I never had a feeling in yesterday's game that we might come back and win it.....none
I have never had a doubt that we might come back and win it with Tyrod
Im sorry I know that doesnt match up with the stats......its just a gut feeling
-
-
It will even out as the season goes on with the jets
-
Get well soon Bill!
The place is not the same without you
-
I would not shock me to see Ron Brooks cut Monday morning.
An example needs to be made
-
Would it be fair to compare our injuries to the Steelers then? I think they've had a few, and to Pro Bowl/Hall of Fame type guys. Didn't set them back at all ...
Lets try to keep this in context Reich
We are talking about this particular game...and how we are hurting at several key positions and the undefeated Bengals are hurting at none.
-
We have an injuries safety on defense. They have no excuse. The players are not responding to Rex's scheme. The defense blows.
Anyone who compares our injuries to the bengals injuries is flat out not being objective.......not in the least
-
Sure I wanted to win
but
WHen your team takes on as many injuries as this team has at key spots......why SHOULD we expect to beat a undefeated team?
Are there things Im not happy about.....sure!
- Why are we passing on 3rd and 3 like EVERY time.....if you dont want to run shady on a tough run......have Boom Herrod do the dive....its THREE yards
- But
- Losing Aaron Williams is killing us.....because both Rambo and D. WIlliams are NOT GOOD ENOUGH
- There was a point in this game where we were missing Watkins, Goodwin, Harvin.....that is like 2 of our top 3 wideouts
Until the team has some sort of semblence of having key players on the field......hard to evaluate this team.
I cannot help but feel Tyrod would have found a way to win this game IF he was healthy.
-
Im holding the OP personally responsible for his bad karma.....go play in traffic
-
I was expecting more from him when Sammy was out. Maybe this hip injury is serious because he has not looked very explosive from scrimmage or on kick returns in recent weeks.
As was I....maybe Glenn SHOULD get that money
-
If their run defense really is that poor you are gonna see a lot of Herron and Shady in this game
Just dont go all conservative Rex.....let EJ challenge them deep
IF....we can find a way to win this game.....would really like to see EJ against the jags next week as well
It would give Tyrod 3 full weeks of rest on the MCL (and ankle) before we come out of our bye
-
ok.....here we go. Against a undefeated team no less
I still think EJ manuel is the future of the team.....the "now" of the team is Tyrod Taylor
We dont need QBs.....we need offensive linemen to protect these qbs
-
Forget qbs
Pull offensive linemen out of this draft
-
A undefeated team just fell on Thursday night football
-
EJ is not exactly Drew Bledsoe back there either.....he isnt TT with the mobility (NOBODY is) but he is mobile
-
very true.
I am sure they will promote Marrone and kill any chance of Bortles becoming a great QB
EJ versus Tyrod

What makes Tyrod Taylor special is he has the ability to make a big play happen with his feet.......he has a lower leg injury
I want a 100 percent TT for the stretch run of the season.....play EJ Manuel against the jags
If our D cant slow down the jags....then all of this is a moot point anyway.
