  1. This kid is only 20 years old. Most people at this age are either looking for a job or entering their sophmore year in college. He's playing football for the Buffalo Bills! Is this too young?
  2. I've been reading an awful regarding all the expert opinions, facts, quotes, and have been thinking a lot about it. Here are some thoughts I have. Normally I don't post long messages, so I apologize beforehand. 1. One of the greatest things I believe Levy did was not sabotage next year's draft. The Bills will probably not be great (7-9 range at best) and therefore will have a high draft pick. In moving up for our second 1st round pick to select McCargo, Levy didn't trade away any of next year's picks. He basically only lost the 3rd which we gained for Travis Henry. I remember Losman costing us a high 1st the following year, plus a 2nd and 5th... this time it only cost us a 2nd and 3rd. Nice job Marv! 2. I've noticed that each player we drafted are extremely young and very versatile. Many of our draft picks can play more than one position. This is by design no doubt. All of our players have impecable character. I can sleep well knowing that we have great, young and versatile talent with fantastic character. 3. A part of me is very glad we passed on Bunkley. He was a one year wonder... could that have been a fluke year? He also was playing with a fantastic defensive end at Florida State, right? Wouldn't it have been terrible to draft a person who performed well at the combine, very strong, but not that good... just one solid year? Whitner is a good player. He is NOT a one year wonder. I've followed him for a while being a Buckeye fan. 4. How great is it to have a chip on your shoulder. I believe most of our picks in fact do. Whitner has a chip on his shoulder because NOBODY believes he should have been drafted that high. He will strive to prove everybody wrong. McCargo has a chip on his shoulder because people think he was a stretch for the 1st round. Also Youboty and Simpson have a chip on their shoulders for everyone passing them up so many times. They are going to want to prove something! I am excited about this draft. Not what I expected by a long shot. But I think that it has a good chance to be much better than I expected. Go Bills!!
  3. You- boat- ee
  4. Are they going to let Mario Williams wear #9. Afterall, it was HE who was the number 1 pick.
  5. Here's a worse draft... one that some might love! 1- Matt Leinart 2- Ashton Youboty (probably where he would be expected to go) 3- Gabe Watson all the other picks the same We would not have addressed the most important need. The safety position. And also we would have 4 good quarterbacks (3 of which would feel slighted). I also see Leinart as a cocky punk with an average arm... and he would hate Buffalo.
  6. Let's compare the 3 Defensive Tackle shall we. In order... Rating: (This is the way they were drafted, and the way they were projected by many) 1. Ngata 2. Bunkley 3. McCargo Higher haracter: (Obviously this is opinion) 1. McCargo 2. Ngata 3. Bunkley Who will more likely NOT take plays off? (Based on playing time in the past) 1. McCargo 2. Bunkley 3. Ngata Who fit's the Bills system best? 1. Bunkley 2. McCargo 3. Ngata Averaging these four categories. McCargo wins with a 1.75. Bunkley 2nd with a 2.00. Ngata third with a 2.25. Now, I'm sure that the Bills had the three ranked 1. Bunkley, 2. McCargo, 3. Ngata. But McCargo may just fit us better and have greater value for where he was picked. No way does Ngata or Bunkley drop to a position where we can pick them after Whitner, and no way does Whitner drop to where we can snag Bunkley/Ngata and Whitner as well.
  7. Such blind optimism is a breath a fresh air on a board usually filled with "The World is Coming to an End" pessimism. Sure this guy could be good... we will have to wait and see.
  8. I agree that that this could be a great draft. The first picks were safe picks. Yes they both were taken too high, but they are good picks. Safe picks I would say. Ashton and Ko are both steals, and nobody denies that. Any draft with two solid picks ups and 2 steals... is a good draft that could become an A given time.
  9. Whitner will indeed be a good pick. Five years from now... everyone will see so. How terrible would it have been if we had dealt with Denver, they select Cutler... and Ravens take Whitner. The Bills would be smashing their collect heads against a wall... wondering why oh why they passed on the player they have been coveting for the past several months... in order to pick a person they really didn't want and another who chances are would be camp fodder.
  10. If a suprise drops to us... say Da'Brick... do we try to move back into the first round attempting to get Bunkley. Or is that unrealistic?
  11. What's annoying me is before EVERY SINGLE commericial break, "still lots to come" is the phrase used. For the love of Pete... be creative occassionally. "Next up" or "Coming up" or "It's not over folks" or "Don't miss what's coming next" or "Stay Tuned" Unoriginality annoys me sometimes.
  12. Um... Sinorace Moss to Buffalo. Oh wait, TD is gone
  13. My firewall doesn't let me access it. It says it's Porn.
  14. Very true.... very true.
  15. #2 overall, the New Orleans saints select DE Mario Williams from NC State... Tennessee is on the clock.
  16. This is ideal. If we drop 3 positions and still get Ngata/Bunkley... Marv will be seen as a genius.
  17. Come on, you know it's fun! Best part about April (in my opinion) is the draft.
  18. He made the Buckeye's National Championship game quite memorable. I will miss him.
  19. Very interesting read. But I think it is realistic. 1)New Orleans is NOT going to draft a quarterback. 2)Hawk will NOT drop to 10. If he's there at 8, I will scream if we pass on him. 3)Denver (may covet Davis, but...) will NOT move up that high. They threw away a lot of power when they moved out of their second 1st round pick. If they were trying such a move, they would have kept both 1st rounders. 4) No way Mario Williams drops that far either.
  20. Maybe in round 1 with A.J. Hawk
  21. Look how San Diego screwed the Giants to move up 3 spots.
  22. Gotta go with... "Tommy Likey, Tommy want wingy" and from Seven, "She begged for her life detective. She begged for her life and for the life of the baby within her. Ohhh... he didn't know"
  23. How does Phili's 15th pick and their 2nd round pick match up with #8 on the value chart?
  24. I would be jumping up and down if we pick Hawk at #8. That would make the whole draft in my opinion. I don't think I'd be too disappointed with Huff either. That might be an interesting pick.
