  1. I don't think that Marv will draft Ginn for three reasons. 1. Last year he pulled the trigger because we didn't have a Strong Safety, we needed Whitner. We have a Widereceiver in Evans. We don't need Ginn. 2. We already have a deep threat-fast receiver in Evans, we don't need another clone. We need a posession receiver. In other words, I don't think that Ted Ginn Jr. is another Andre Reed. 3. Ginn is not a polished receiver, he is a play-maker... we need a polished receiver. Although I like Ginn and would NOT be displeased if the Bills drafted him, I don't see it happening. It's not smart... and if Marv is anything... he certainly is smart.
  2. I'm curious to know (on a scale from 1-10) what you believe the Bills needs are. 1 is a very low need and 10 being a severe need. Here's what I see, but I'm interest in knowing other's opinions. QB 3 RB 9 WR 7 TE 7.5 C 6 G 6 T 4 DE 4 DT 7.5 OLB 9 ILB 9 CB 8 SS 6 FS 6 K 1 P 1
  3. I would't mind seeing Crowell in the middle and Willis/Ellison on the outside.
  4. Garrett Wolf is ellisive and very quick. He has that second gear and if you miss him at the line of scrimage, he will probably take it for a LOOONG gainer. The problem is that he is small and quite light on his feet. Short only 5'7", one big hit and he could be over. Of course, that's what they said about Tiki Barber, Barry Sanders and a guy named Thurman Thomas.
  5. I recall that DeMeco Ryans of Houston led the NFL in tackles last year as a rookie. Also, didn't Derrick Johnson of Kansas City also have a stellar rookie campaign?
  6. Well, we can only beat them once. And we should
  7. The first half of the year is brutal for Buffalo... I don't see 0-8, but a 3-5 record is very possible. I predict that if the Bills finish 500 or better during the first half of the year, they are playoff bound.
  8. A Cadillac and an A-Train. How many vehicles can we get?
  9. I am a person (and there are many like me) who believes that the most important part of a team are the lines. People like Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish can run as fast as lightning, but if nobody blocks for them, what's the point. Offensive line is the most important and therefore, logical to get the best players available even if you overpay for them. The same goes for the defensive line and is why I don't have any problem with Marv overpaying for Kelsay. He will do the same for Schobel soon too (we'll see).
  10. My trade... Turner for a 2nd this year and a conditional pick next year (anywhere from 4th to 1st round). Most scenerios would be a 3rd round for the conditional pick, unless he is a stud or a dud. Probably in our system, he will share time... meaning his stats will make the conditional pick a 3rd. Good thing we have two next year. Draft... 1st- Willis (2nd and conditional next year)- Turner 3A- DT/CB/WR (BPA) 3B- DT/CB/WR (BPA) 4- BPA
  11. It's funny that they can't fathom that one of the reasons why we MAY have been near the bottom could have been BECAUSE of McGahee not in spite of him.
  12. I have two things to add. 1. Don't think that Marv won't trade down, remember last year, Marv was entertaining calls from Denver, etc. regarding possibly moving down so they could move up and take Leinart or Cutler at #8. The Bills said they were entertaining offers but nobody gave them enough. Meaning... if somebody DOES give them what they feel is enough, they WILL trade down, just like they were contiplating last year. 2. As far as grading a draft. Last year many people were hoping we took Bunkley or Winston Justice in the first round. Philadelphia somehow ended with both... both were terrible, and they were graded a D+ in one magazine I read (the Bills got an A- in that same magazine). You really can't grade a draft though... nobody thought the Bills reached taking Mike Williams and we all know that it was a collossal bust.
  13. Wow, go easy on Tolstoy. He had a very good point, you need to pick the best player available at #12. The sarcasm isn't really called for is it?
  14. Couldn't agree with you more. We need to address our Runningback situation before our Linebacker situation. Good thoughts.
  15. Whoever that is... he sure has a big neck.
  16. I almost lost it... busted a gut when I read "lest he continue to sow his seed all over the shores of Lake Erie". That's CLASSIC!!
  17. View Posluszny as McCargo... the Bills probably are. Both projected to go near the end of the first round (or early 2nd)... a talent that the Bills want, but not good enough to reach up and pick with their early first. I see (or I should say, would like to see) the Bills taking Marshawn Lynch with their number 12 pick, and then wheeling and dealing to move up to the first round (like they did with Chicago last year) and draft the leader from Linebacker U. Remember, they have two 3rd round picks this year, just like they had last year. Give up our 2nd and a 3rd for Pos. Very real possiblity, that is afterall, exactly what we gave up for McCargo.
  18. Wasn't Chris Simms sitting around until round 2?
  19. Dang... that one would sure suprise me.
  20. If this is the case... trade the 12th pick, trade down a few spots and pick up Marshawn Lynch
  21. The best thing about Datish is his leadership. A team captain that people look up to. If the Bills land him, he will be a leader in the locker room for years to come. His playing skills are not dominant but aren't too shabby either.
  22. True... we can't ever predict after last year's draft. If someone said that we'd take Whitner at #8 and then trade up to get McCargo, I would have laughed. Ideally, someone great drops, we trade down to 15-20 range and take Marshawn Lynch, and then trade up in the 20 range and pick up Willis. (That's is Willis drops).
  23. Steve Tasker... class act all the way!
  24. The potential of McGahee has not lived up to what he is in reality. So, yes McGahee (then) is greater than McGahee (now).
